Guest ISportsFan Report post Posted September 18, 2002 SmackDown Spoilers: Guerrero/Edge; Undertaker Written by Matt Boone on 09/17/2002 Back with another update for SmackDown! spoilers. A new Undertaker "desire" video played, which we recorded the audio for the entire time, as well as a backstage segment with Eddie Guerrero talking to Chavo. He told him Edge has disrespected him for the last time and later tonight he'll pay in a tag team match featuring Eddie Guerrero and Chavo Guerrero vs. Edge and Rikishi. rikishi pins eddie. it's the only thing that makes sense. SmackDown Spoilers: Eddie/Chavo vs. Edge/Rikshi Written by Matt Boone on 09/17/2002 Eddie and Chavo defeated Edge and Rikishi when Chavo rolled up Edge. After the match Eddie knocked out Edge with a chair, busted him open, got on top of him and cut a promo. Basically hyping their match for Unforgiven which is now confirmed. He then blew him a kiss before leaving. Live via satelitte Bischoff is shown preparing for a live discussion with Stephanie, who will be in the ring. no, i was wrong. chavo pins edge, the only thing that makes less sense. i hope this show makes more sense in reality than is coming across through this website. it sounds awful. i'm all for pushing chavo, but hopefully eddie assisted in the pinfall and the doofus with the cellphone just forgot to mention that. EDIT: sorry, ISF, didn't see you already post this stuff! Eh, that's ok. The more people posting, the more people obviously care about it. That's a good sign. Anyway, I think Eddy should have pinned Edge, since we all know Edge will get the fall back on Sunday. Jason
Guest ISportsFan Report post Posted September 18, 2002 ISF, you listening to the live updates? does the show sound any better from the arena than it does on the screen? No, I'm not. I listened to one of them, but it's ridiculously boring with the guy talking... then stopping for a long time... then talking again... then forgetting what he said earlier. He's really bad. Guest ISportsFan Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Matt Hardy defeated Hurricane Helms. Before the match Matt cut a semi-heel promo on Colorado. Said fans here have 70s hairstyles and goofy clothes, interupted by Hurricane, match starts. Match ends when Matt goes for a twiste of fate, Hurricane reverses, Matt low-blows him and hits the twiste of fate for the 1-2-3. Next up is a backstage segment with Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman. They were about to go out to the parking lot but decided not to because they overheard Undertaker was out there waiting for him. They said that they can wait all night with their extra security, and Undertaker will have to come to them. Benoit/Angle v. Billy/Chuck is next, too. Helms works 2x in one night? Sweet. Matt Hardy seems to be getting a pseudo-push, too. Jason
Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Why are Hardy and Helms fighting. They were acting like friends on the last Smackdown and now all of a sudden they are fighting? Nice buildup to a feud...
Guest ISportsFan Report post Posted September 18, 2002 It doesn't have to make sense. I can already see that Stephanie has totally and completely taken over the booking from Heyman. Build-up seems to have disappeared and non-sensical stuff is all over the place. On the bright side, here's the full Velocity tapings (just so it can all be in one post): Randy Orton pins Shannon Moore (Overdrive/Roll of the Dice) Tajiri pins Kidman (kick of death, said to be really good) Helms pins Crash Holly (why are they fighting?, rollup I believe) Funaki pins Albert (said to be humorous, rollup) Jason
Guest ISportsFan Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Just so you guys know, the "radio show" guys that are doing the spoilers are pure marks to the n-teenth degree. I want to know how this guy got a backstage pass, because he doesn't know his headlock from a headache. Jason
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted September 18, 2002 I like just getting the whole results instead of just waiting for them to type everything up after every match!
Guest ISportsFan Report post Posted September 18, 2002 These guys are also terribly inconsistent with their posts. Two different segments are posted within minutes, then a 20-30 minute delay. In conclusion, these guys suck. Jason
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted September 18, 2002 I'd hate to have to pay that guys cell phone bill.
Guest ISportsFan Report post Posted September 18, 2002 I'd hate to have to pay that guys cell phone bill. Well, I'll give two possibilities about his cell phone. 1) He has a plan that lets him have unlimited minutes or something similar for one flat rate. Not as likely as... 2) He's a complete moron for calling about 200 times in one day for Smackdown tapings, and not even getting them on the website in a reasonable time following the call. More likely of the 2. Jason
Guest ISportsFan Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit defeated Billy and Chuck. Angle and Benoit brawled a bit afterwards. Then we go to the final segment with Undertaker and Brock Lesnar. 'Taker gets in the ring, calls out Lesnar, eventually Brock comes. Heyman tries stopping him the entire way down the ramp, only for Brock to turn around and deck Heyman to charge the ring. Lesnar and 'Taker brawl for a bit before Matt Hardy interferes. Lesnar and Heyman high-tail it to the back while 'Taker chokeslams Matt Hardy. Undertaker is shown running to the back where a whole group of security guards surround Lesnar and Heyman. Heyman tells Undertaker not to worry about his wife, she's in good hands. That pretty much did it for the show. After the camera's stopped rolling Matt and 'Taker played to the live crowd. Matt kept gloating about being a man with Mattitude and beating Undertaker last week. 'Taker comes out and chokeslams Matt Hardy a few times to end the show. For the record, this guy says there are only 4 (FOUR!) matches on Smackdown. Here they are... Rey/Torrie beat Noble/Nidia Chavo/Eddy beat Edge/Rikishi M. Hardy beat Hurricane Benoit/Angle beat Billy/Chuck Unless I fell asleep and missed a part or two or five, this show will be ridiculously full of craptastic interview segments. Guest deadbeater Report post Posted September 18, 2002 What the hell was that? The big non-wrestling segment is a bad imitation of a rap session, more rollups (WWE should get the comapny that makes the candy Rollups--as a tie-in).

Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Wasn't it not too long ago where Vince was saying SD! was getting the better reviews and that the show was more wrestling-centric? And then what happens almost immediately afterwards? Undertaker & Crash are moved to SD!, and the matches have gotten shorter and/or less in number, the back-stage segments have increased, and the hosses have been beating the entertaining (read: smaller) guys. Gee, thanks Vince. I was perfectly happy having Benoit/Guerrero/Angle in the SD! ME, with the cruisers all over the undercard, and the hosses kept to a minimum, and it seems I was in the majority. ::sigh::

Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted September 18, 2002 More Detailed Smackdown/Velocity Tapings/Spoilers Thanks to 411 reader Rodney Valdez for sending this in: Velocity (Dark Match) Val Venis v. Doug Basham. Val came out to a huge pop. The crowd was into the match as it had been some time since any wrestling event has been out to Colorado Springs. A good back and forth match with Val getting the roll-up. Winner: Venis Mark Henry/Mark Jindrak v. Bull Buchanan/Horace Hogan. Mark Henry came out to another huge pop. We walked around the ring and high-fived everyone at ringside for the pop. Jindrak came out to a rather silent crowd. While Buchanan and Hogan came out to as decent amount of heat. Not a bad match up as Jindrak took most of the beating dished out by Buchanan and Hogan. Several Hogan chants were heard during the 5 minute match. Mark Henry was tagged in to clean house and allowed Jindrak to get the pin. Winner: Mark Henry/Mark Jindrak (Velocity Taping) Tons of Pyro and wild yelling started the Velocity taping. A fight started between a few people near the ramp but it was nothing more than some shoving and purse wailing. Hurricane Helms v. Crash Holly. Hurricane came out to a really good pop while Holly came down the ramp to a mixed bag pops and heat. The crowd was rather quiet during the match up until Helms hit a high flying move. Helms gets the pin. Winner: Hurricane Helms Funaki v. Albert. Albert hits the ring to a good amount of heat. Funaki comes out with a mic and address the crowd and tells Albert to "Shave Your Back". Basically a squash match with the former Prince beating Funaki like a red-headed step-child. Tons of "Shave Your Back" chants took Albert off of his game allowing Funaki to grab the 3 count on Albert. Albert was upset at his loss as the chants continued. Upset with the chanting Albert took his rage out on the helpless Funaki. Winner: Funaki Randy Orton v. Shannon Moore. The sleeper match of the night as no one really cared for Shannon Moore. Randy worked hard to keep this match interesting as Shannon looked less than interested to be working. Randy Orton grabbed the win and the ladies seemed to be pleased with that as many women were chanting his name. Winner: Randy Orton Tajiri v. Billy Kidman. Billy Kidman came out to a pretty good pop as he waited for Tajiri to make his way down. Tajiri slid into the ring as is back and forth match hit fast and furious. The match was a great one with Tajiri getting the win. Winner: Tajiri Smackdown Taping World Arena went dark as a Vignette was run showing the history of the WWE and it's champions. Several loud pops when pictures like Rocky, Hogan, Andre and HBK were showed and heat to pictures like Brett Hart, Razor Ramon and The Ultimate Warrior. When the Vignette faded to black another one stated recapping last weeks Smackdown with Eric Bischoff invading. The pyro hit and the crowd went wild. The big screen flashed with Steph and Heyman talking about what happened between Brock and 'Takers wife last week. Steph talked about UT wife being taken to the hospital that morning due to Brock and Heyman messing with UT's wife. The camera fixed on Heyman as it faded to black. Mixed Tag Match: Torrie Wilson/Rey Mysterio Jr. v. Nidia and Jamie Noble. Torrie came out to a Monster pop as she made her way to the ring. Rey Mysterio his to another loud pop with a lot of "La Raza" chants. Nidia and Noble made their way down to some heat. Upon getting in the ring Wilson and Nidia started the battle as the crowd went crazy. Torrie's blue pants kept creeping down exposing her Black Thong much to the pleasure of the guys in the crowd. A lot of back and forth until Nidia is down corner when Torrie hits with the Bronco Buster, again the crowd goes wild. Jamie pulls Nidia out and want the Bronco Buster from Torrie as he take Nidia's place. Torrie quickly moves out of the way so Rey can hit Noble with the Bronco Buster. The fighting continued in the ring with Noble and Rey while Torrie beat down Nidia outside. Rey rolled up Noble for the 3 count. Winners: Torrie Wilson/Rey Mysterio Jr. Stephanie hit the ring (black panties and all) talked about Eric Bischoff's invasion last week and the inter-promotional Challenge. She brought out Chuck and Billy to a loud pop. Steph say's she will set up a satellite feed with Eric to go over the terms of the match. Kurt Angle hit the top of the ramp to a ton of "You Suck" chants. Angle talked smack to Chuck and Billy and said that "gay people love me" and how he could get on Chuck and Billy to "give them the 1-2-3". Angle continued the double entrendre until he got all flustered. He finally challenged Chuck or Billy to a match, Steph replied that they were a tag team. Angle didn't care until Steph picked a partner for him...Chris Benoit. Angle was angry as the bit came to an end. The screen lit up with Paul Heyman talking about the CSPD being hired as body guards for Brock as the Undertaker would be looking for him. (Not really the Colorado Springs Police Department as the CSPD uniforms are a different color.) The Body Guards said they would only accompany Brock backstage, not to the ring, as the screen faded to black. Brock Lesnar v. John Cena. Brock hit the ring to a mix of Heat and Pops. Brock is HUGE. Cena hit the ramp as we all felt sorry for him having to go against Brock. Brock beat Cena from corner to corner. Cena kicked out of a few 2 counts and made a few offensive moves but it was in vain as Brock got the duke. Winner: Brock Lesnar Edge/Rikishi v. Chavo and Eddie Guerrero. Edge hit the ring to a huge pop as did Rikishi. Chavo and Eddie hit with a good amount of heat and to a few "Mullet" and "La Raza" chants. Eddie's Mullet has some highlights and he worked the crowd. Eddie nailed Edge with a chair and opened him up. While Edge was down, Chavo grabbed the pin. Winners: Chavo and Eddie Guerrero As the arena lights came down, the ring people hurried to clean the blood out of the ring before the Steph and Bischoff satellite feed started. Steph and Bischoff were ripping into each other for the first few minutes until they started to talk about the Chuck and Billy v. Rosie and Jamal match. Steph and Bischoff agreed on the stipulations and said she might even enjoy some HLA. The crowd love it as the screen faded only to come back up with Matt Hardy talking smack about Colorado Springs and the people here. Hurricane Helms v. Matt Hardy. Helms pulling a double shift tonight hit the ring with a bigger pop this time. Matt hit with a lot of heat. One of the more boring matches of the night. The crowd wasn't really into this one as Matt grabbed the win. Winner: Matt Hardy The screen shows Heyman talking to Brock about leaving the arena. But Paul talks Brock into sitting back down as the Undertaker will probably be waiting for him outside and the CSPD are only going to be there for them in the arena. They sit back down as the screen fades. Chuck and Billy v. Angle/Benoit. Another big pop for Chuck and Billy and they hit the ring. Angle comes out to the usual "You suck" chants and Benoit comes out to a mix of heat and pops. Angle and Benoit try to out-do each other with german suplexes to Chuck and Billy. Angle goes for the ankle lock only to get nailed by Benoit who goes for the submission and gets it. After the match, Angle get the ankle lock on Benoit (Benoit taps) the Refs come in to break it up and as Angle releases the hold Benoit, Benoit puts the submission on Angle (Angle taps). The Refs break it up again and the ring is cleared. Winners: Angle/Benoit The Undertakers music hits as he walks down to the ring (no bike...bummer) and calls out Brock. Brock and Heyman walk to the ring and Heyman won't let him get in, Brock pushes Heyman to the ground and are fact to face. Paul waves Matt Hardy down. Matt jumps on the Takers back and is beat down for his effort. Taker is on the trail of Brock (shown on the screen) but is stopped back stage by the Security. Brock jumps in a car and takes off. Matt puts on the Takers cap and mouths off for a bit until the Taker hit the ring again. Matt yanks off the cap and the Taker slams Matt for wearing it and then get the Last Ride just for good measure. Matt laid in the ring after the cameras stopped rolling. Guest ISportsFan Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Sorry about not listing the Brock/Cena match last night... but it wasn't listed at the live spoiler site, so I can't blame myself too much. By the way, all the Smackdown matches at the PPV should rule. Benoit/Angle, Rey/Noble, Edge/Eddy, and... oh, wait. 3/4 isn't bad. Jason
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted September 18, 2002 Funaki v. Winner: Funaki I sort of feel bad for Albert. He went from Hoss IC Champion all the way down to jobbing Funaki. On the other hand, I am liking this Funaki push, so far, as he is slowly moving up the ladder of Velocity success conquering various rungs on the jobber ladder. Starting off with Mike Awesome, then moving up to Albert. I am curious as to who the next guy to job to Funaki will be. Awesome and Albert were obvious, but who is the next biggest Velocity jobber? Between that, the Tajiri match, and the Hurricane match, it looks like a pretty good Velocity to me. Why did they have to job Shannon Moore though? That was the only thing I disliked about this Velocity, but, hey, at least I sort of enjoy Randy Orton. It is not like they jobbed him to Mark Henry or anything.
