BUt I was able to download it and watched it this afternoon...

 

I honestly didn't think it was possible for there to be a better big bad then the Mayor... seriously... he is what a villain should be. But in just one night... one episode... he was trumped. Caleb kicked some fucking ass. I love him... I wish he was introduced earlier though...

I'm liking this Caleb guy. I wasn't so sure of introducing a big player this late in the game, but he seems cool.

 

Poor Xander. That was indeed b-r-utal. Good to see some SiTs get it. Too bad the one who got her arm busted wasn't killed off.

 

That "Previously On..." was also badass. Awesome to see the bit from "Amends" with The First/Jenny.

Please don't tell me you think Caleb is a better villian than the Mayor. The Mayor was such a bad guy, but I didn't hate him what-so-ever. He was just too damn funny.

 

I don't really like Caleb all that much. Yes he is a bad ass, but something about him that I don't like. I can't put my finger on it though.

 

He just came out of the blue, and was such a bad ass. Yes, he did do all that crazy shit like blow up the council and other stuff. But I wish they had him earlier in the season.

 

And what he did to Xander was insane, too bad Xander's love power couldn't help him.

 

I have a question about Spike though; can he have sex and not loose his soul? Angel would loose his soul because one deal with his curse was that he can't have pure happiness, so is it the same with Spike?

 

Plus, if he did loose his soul, I don't think he would be a bad ass. If you think about it, he changed when he didn't have a soul. Yes, the chip helped the change, but he was still a changed person chip or no chip. Yea get what I'm saying? Or will he just become a bad ass vamp if his soul is gone?

damn, Xander had avoided so much danger I was thinking he was imune to anything real bad. That actually depressed me a little. I've been watching the show too long and getting too attached to the damn characters.

 

Nice to see a couple SITs get it. Really spiced up the story.

 

Preacher man was great. Hope they give him a little more background in the next new episode.

 

Also...why don't the Slayers technically kill Faith...then revive her...then kill the next SIT in line...then revive her...see where I'm going with this. Maybe a simple drowning.

I am glad Caleb just got in. I like the evil preacher character, but a whole season IMO would get to be a little much.

 

As for Xander, I am glad I watched the season 2 reruns today where I hated him. If I hadn't been in the Xander-hating mood that would have been really depressing. Still sucked though. You knew it was coming though since one of them had to get hurt and Buffy needs to be saved for now and Willow will go unharmed til the end since she will be necessary for the war, so Xander gets screwed.
