The only thing I didn't like about the episode was teh final battle's score. The score makes the battle, IMO, and this score was ....lacking something.

Overall, good ep. Raptor is dead on with the Fray reference. According to the Fray comic, the scythe is the "offical" weapon of the Slayer. I marked out big time when I saw it!

 

I just hope that Willow actually does something USEFUL in the finale!! I've just wanted to duct tape her mouth shut this past season!

 

As far as casualties for next week, I'm betting on Faith and Anya. I'd still like to see my "happy ending", but I doubt we'll get it.

 

Either way, we get Caleb for one more week. Good enough for me!

Why the hell does Kennedy think that all of them could take on one...let alone more then one. And it took Buffy a year and a half to kill the first one, but now she has a super weapon and she dusts 3 in about 10 seconds? ehhh

I would much rather that Noxon wrote the show because she is the lead writer for Buffy and is a great writer. She did write my favorite episode "The Wish," so I have faith in her.

It took Buffy like 3 episodes to kill one.

 

It's just that there were about 2 months of breaks in between the episodes.

 

This episode ended exactly like I wanted it too.

I think the whole point of killing the ubervamps is to show that Buffy knows how to beat them now. Plus it shows how badass that axe really is.

 

Where did the ubervamps come from anyway? Did the explosion bring them out somehow?

 

And those picss of Emma and Julie are great, but the ones of Alyson are so-so. She looks WAY too skinny in one of them. Maybe because I don't think she is that hot to begin with. Yes she is very pretty, but I don't have the fantasy that Youth does with her.

Yup, another apocalypse. Hey, we've already had two this season, right?

 

I would like to mention that I marked out for the mention of the Glottal Stop. Mostly because I pretty much said Giles' line before he did. Then he started talking about the IPA and how it sounds and stuff, and I marked out like a little girl. I'm far too much of a linguistics geek.

FHM/Maxim/etc seems to really go for the slutty look, which doesn't do anything for me.

 

That being said, some Maxim spreads are fine. Emma Caulfield's one from above looked fine. Jules Asner had a smoking one. But that seems to be the exception rather than the rule.

I'm thinking that's the point. She's been too afraid to try anything this season, so, my guess would be, she finally busts out the big magics and instead of turning all evil Willow, and she's able to control them or something, and then, BAM, white hair, all-powerful and good Willow.

 

'Cause Giles asked her if she'd be able to use her magic if she had to, and she said she honestly didn't know. We'll find out next week when she's pushed to the point where she has no other choice but to use what she has.
