Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

Recommended Posts

Listen to this shit...PISSED ME OFF.

I've been trying to get a friend of mine into Buffy. She's been resisting because she's one of those people out there who judged the show before ever seeing anything AND caught a few episodes out of context.

So, we got through season 1 (which isn't that great...and I had to try and defend a good portion of it) and we're getting to the meat of Season 2 (Angel hasn't turned heel at this point yet) and she read on a website today a column on the fact that Buffy is ending and the top 10 moments on the show...with the number 1 being Buffy Killing Angel at the end of Season 2 and Angel killing Ms. Calender as part of the top 10 list as well. .

Needless to say, I was upset by this because dammit...I wanted her going in not knowing ANYTHING.

Now I have a feeling she's not going to get into it and I'm fighting a losing battle here.

You need to Glory that girl up. Season 5 would be a better place to start cause 1)You don't get the weird Willow/Xander/Oz/Tara/Cordy Lovewich that you get in season 2,3,4. The relationships are already developed, they just get taken to another level. Buffy's main concern is with Dawn and her mother - family - which is something that is relatable to everyone - eps. the ladies. Spike is in top form. There isn't a lot of technicalities to get bogged down with, Riley goes, and everything connects in the end.

And Glory fucked up Tara.

Season 5 is definitely one of my favorites, but she NEEDS to see Season's 2 and 3. Besides, I'm anal about seeing things in order.

I have no idea what just happened, except that Anya died. Can someone fill me in on what happened this season.

Yeah, 'cause they've never brought anybody back from the dead on these shows before.

Tears to my eyes, folks. I've stayed off this thread for 4 months because I didn't want to slip on a spoiler, and it was worth it.

After last week I didn't think they would finish strong, but they did.

Anya and Spike hit me incredibly hard. My two favorite characters, gone in efforts of entirely unlikely self-sacrifice...tears, I tell you. I figured Anya would go after her self-written epitaph with Andrew last week, but Spike blew me away. Will he be back on Angel? I don't know. I don't care. Wow. I'm in a state of amazed shock, but that was an amazing episode. I guess that Sunnydale collapsing and the Hellmouth annihilated was what Whedon always wanted to end the show on.

Overall I like the way it was ended. Rona and Dawn should have died though.

I know Anya was doomed, but I wish it wasn't as brutal.

And I hate hate hate the way that it took Buffy forever to kill 1 Ubervamp...but now all of a sudden they drop like flies? And I love Anya, but she shouldn't be able to dust 2 just like that.

What's with The First though? Did the first manage to change to physical form? Cause if not then The First should still be around. That threw me off a little, I expected Buffy to fight the actual First to end it.

I hate how they hyped Ange's return...all for about a combined 5 minutes of screen time.

I loved Spike's exit. Buffy finally told him she loved him, and he got a sweet repemtion ending. But Wolferman Hart was able to bring Darla back from dust, so they'll do the same for Spike...although I think his ending is better with him dying.

Mostly I'm just glad Xander, Willow, and Giles lived.
