cawthon777 Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 IMO, 'Passion' was the best episode. While I love 'Hush', 'OMWF', etc - they were far different in scope any other episode and thus have a little bit of an edge in that regard. 'Passion' was simplistic and had a theme everyone could relate to (we all love happiness but with the happy comes the sad ... "Maybe without passion we could find peace ... but we would be hollow") ... Angel's narritive throughout the story was chilling ... Alyson scores major points for the bawling ... it was the first time we saw Giles as a bad ass ... and it carried the arch of the season to where it needed to be by putting Buffy in the right frame of mind to kill Angel, the man that she still loves. And then at the end, with the diskette falling off the table ... damn, talk about hooking your audience.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 ok, this is vitally important. Are they showing two episodes on wednesdays or only one? And are they showing any on Friday? I've figured out that assuming they're showing two on Friday and one on Wednesdays then the last episode of season seven will be shown the day before we leave for vacation

FX is going to show Season 7?? Or did you mean Season 6?
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Dunno how they're working season 7. They were having UPN show reruns and FX would pick it up next season...but UPN isn't really showing many reruns. But when they get season 7 I'm sure they'll promote it.
LaParkaYourCar Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 It will probably be like Season 6. They advertised during the Thanksgiving marathon that Season 6 would start on FX soon. So around that time this year they'll probably advertise Season 7 starting soon. Of course FX's initial showing of Season 6 was incomplete and Season 7's will probably be too.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Of course FX's initial showing of Season 6 was incomplete and Season 7's will probably be too. That was so UPN could show select reruns. But next season's line up I doubt that'll be the case.
Guest Mole Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Of course FX will edit half of the episodes, because they suck big balls. If Angel is on TNT, when are they going to start showing those episodes?
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Angel on TNT? Where did that one come from? Angel will hit its 100th episode mid next season, that'll go a long ways to how it's picked up in syndication.
Guest Cavi Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Yeah, Angel syndication was picked up by TNT. The news quietly got out earlier this year. It's going to debut this fall, possibly in a two hour block with Charmed, or a two hour block of its own. They have yet to release an official press release with all the timeslots.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 One of my all time favorite Buffy moments is coming up on this rerun. Watch Spike stop Buffy from going to the police to find out where in the world Spike got the idea that getting his soul back is something that Buffy wanted. Great stuff.
LaParkaYourCar Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Plus in this episode when Buffy beats the hell out of Spike he says "you always hurt the ones you love" and Buffy repeats the line later with this look in her eyes as if she was giving thought to actually loving him.

Might be nice to just catch a random episode here and there, like Buffy on FX, hope they're not running the same timeslot.
LaParkaYourCar Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 The only thing I don't like about "Dead Things" is it's a little depressing. And what's that song that plays while Buffy is standing outside Spike's crypt? It sounds like Bush.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 The scene that shows why Spike got the idea that Buffy wanted Spike to have a soul.
LaParkaYourCar Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 HERE IT IS!!!!! um...what? The scene he was talking about. And I don't get Dawn's actions in this episode at all. And did anyone figure out what the song was from this episode where Buffy was outside Spike's crypt?
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Makes sense. The room with the computer doesn't have a tv. So I was lost on it.
LaParkaYourCar Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 I think he was referring to when Buffy beat the snot out of Spike and she said he didn't have a soul, he was dead inside, and he thought that was what made Spike think Buffy wanted him to get his soul back. Cause in Season 7 Spike said it was what Buffy wanted.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 If they put out season 5 through 7 tomorrow I would run to Sams Club and buy them all...I hate waiting. I'm going to watch a season 4 ep with commentary in a little while.
Guest Cavi Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 And did anyone figure out what the song was from this episode where Buffy was outside Spike's crypt? It's "Out of This World" by Bush.
Guest Mole Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 If they put out season 5 through 7 tomorrow I would run to Sams Club and buy them all...I hate waiting. I'm going to watch a season 4 ep with commentary in a little while. I just my save my money for a region free DVD player. By the time that I get it, season 7 of Buffy and season 4 of Angel will probably be out, so I'll just ask for all of those for birthday and X-Mas. Along Buffy season 5 and 6, then Angel 2 and 3. I would offically have no life, because the only thing I would do is watch Angel and Buffy.
LaParkaYourCar Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 That stuff that the old guy shows Xander in "Hell's Bells", even though it's a lie, is some powerful stuff. Great writing. Joss just couldn't let anyone catch a break in Season 6.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 I had copies off of another region DVD player of Buffy episodes, they did not look good. I don't mind waiting for the stuff to get released here really

Joss just couldn't let anyone catch a break in Season 6. Ya kinda had to have some kind of feeling that the marriage wasn't going to happen. They were just way too happy for it to end with two "I do's" But yeah, after watching it again, with all my attention on it... I remembered just how awesome of a character Xander was and all of the episodes that focus on him are my favorites.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 so FX isn't gonna show Season 7 yet? bummer
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 so FX isn't gonna show Season 7 yet? bummer Just rewatch the episodes you taped off UPN...or am I the only one who does that?
LaParkaYourCar Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 FX probably won't show Season 7 until December like they did with Season 6.
LaParkaYourCar Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 That's one thing I never understood about the episode "Entropy". Why didn't Anya ask Halfrek to curse Xander?
