Guest Mole Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Damn, you fellas are good with all the PS names. The only one I know is the one who is hot for Willow, Kendra. The one PS who saved Dawn last ep isn't very cute. I don't get why they made the ugliest girl, the next slayer, or whatever the case is. And Vyce, that pic of Sean SCARED the shit out of me when it finally loaded. Damn.
Guest LaParkaMarka Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 The Slayer doesn't have to be hot, man. I think it would be interesting to have a more "normal" girl as the slayer. And wasn't Kendra the season 2 slayer that was offed by Dru? I thought the girl with the hots for Willow was Kennedy or something.
Guest Kagato Otaku Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Ken-DRAH died in Season 2, mole. Kennedy is your lesbian du jour this season.
LaParkaYourCar Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 After watching tonight's rerun of "Help" I realized the new SiT was in that episode too. She told Buffy she beat the crap out of some bully.
Guest Max Danger Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Yeah, I noticed that too. I knew I had seen her somewhere before, and it was just an earlier episode of Buffy.
Guest Madmartigan21 Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Yeah, I noticed that too. I knew I had seen her somewhere before, and it was just an earlier episode of Buffy. She was also a regular on Freaks and Geeks. She played Millie, Lindsay's very pious friend. Lindsay all but abandoned her after she started hanging out with the "freaks". Millie Kentner: You're high! Lindsay Weir: How could you tell? Millie Kentner: I know what high people look like. I went to a Seals and Crofts concert last summer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lindsay Weir: Millie, you're eating candy already? It's only 7:30 in the morning! Millie Kentner: It's just Lik'm'aid. It makes my spit taste like fruit juice!
cawthon777 Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Came across an intresting historical tidbit the other day, thought I'd pass it along. Brian Thompson, the guy that played the Judge, Krailik the Vamp (the one Buffy fought on her 18th bday when she didn't have slayer powers), and the Master's right hand man in the pilot - well he was also in Terminator. It's actually a very memorable scene. Remember when Arnold arrives in 1984 and finds the three punk-rocker types...and then kills all three and takes their clothes? Well, Thompson was the guy who tried using a knife and instead had his heart removed. Bill Pullman was another of the punkers who met an untimely demise.
Guest Madmartigan21 Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Bill Pullman was another of the punkers who met an untimely demise. Oh, for CRYING OUT LOUD!!! Tell me you were joking. I sincerely hope that you didn't mix up Bill PULLMAN with Bill PAXTON.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Bill Pullman was another of the punkers who met an untimely demise. Oh, for CRYING OUT LOUD!!! Tell me you were joking. I sincerely hope that you didn't mix up Bill PULLMAN with Bill PAXTON. I don't get why everyone mixes these guys up Pullman: President in ID4, Lost Highway Paxton: Guy from Twister, Frailty, and A Simple Plan They look nothing alike. I stole the pics from IMDB.com
Guest Max Danger Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Brian Thompson, the guy that played the Judge, Krailik the Vamp (the one Buffy fought on her 18th bday when she didn't have slayer powers), and the Master's right hand man in the pilot - well he was also in Terminator. While true on his parts as The Judge and Luke(also his part in The Terminator), he was not Krailin in Helpless. Sorry. Anywho, another amusing tidbit? Andrew played a vampire in season five, as one of Harmony's gang members. He was Cyrus in Real Me. Cool, no?

He was Cyrus in Real Me. Cool, no? He wasn't in a gang...he was a minon! If you look back at older stuff you can find a lot of people playing multiple rolls...it's kinda cool
Guest Kagato Otaku Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Beat me to it, Max. Shao Khan most certainly WASN'T Kralik.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Guy named Jeff Kober was Kralik. He also played Rack... he was Willow's magic dealer in season 6
Guest Max Danger Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 He wasn't in a gang...he was a minon! No need to get nit-picky.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 He wasn't in a gang...he was a minon! No need to get nit-picky. Sorry, but Harm was stressing the fact that she had "Minions"...even Xander joked about it
Guest Mole Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Ken-DRAH died in Season 2, mole. Kennedy is your lesbian du jour this season. My bad. Stoner move. Man, we really need a new Buffy. You fellas are talking about Pullman/Paxton.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 I know...I get bored just bumping the thread in between episodes.
cawthon777 Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 And I think of myself as knowledgable... *hangs head in shame*
Guest Steve J. Rogers Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Wait, a new Slayer is about to be called? Did they kill of Faith with just a line of dialouge? Am I missing something here? Steve
Guest Steve J. Rogers Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Grad Part aired in July? That is amazing, because show finales usually never go past June, let alone July. I haven't seen this answered but there was a legit reason for this. So happened that earlier that spring was the Columbine massacre and suffice to say networks were gunshy (geez, no pun intended) about airing very violent images and almost certaintly images with desctruction and chaos at a high school. Anyway this episode along with "Earshot" were held back or aired out of sequence because of this. At least "Earshot" the storyline was rooted in reality, only Buffy herself was affected by paranormal activity and I can see the WB acting all squemish about airing an episode where a disenfranchised student decides to go postal. Not saying it'd be leading to copycats but I could see if you were affected by the tragedy that watching that episode that close to when it happened (I think it was originally set to air the week of the incident) that you'd be replused by the episode But Graduation Day clearly was rooted in fantasy with the Big Bad Demon being the reason why the school had to be blown up, granted there is the Wheedon/Buffyesque allegory to the feelings of "going out of HS with a big bang" but the whole storyline was based on severe fantasy and would not nesseccearilly caused severe trauma to the audience But thats my take on that whole mess Steve
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Wait, a new Slayer is about to be called? Did they kill of Faith with just a line of dialouge? Am I missing something here? Steve Joss has his loopholes, but he woudn't mess up something like this. The Scoobies are probably just clueless to this or something. I'm sure that Faith will somehow impact the season, her name's been brought up reciently.
Guest the pinjockey Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Wait, a new Slayer is about to be called? Did they kill of Faith with just a line of dialouge? Am I missing something here? Steve I didn't think there was an immediate plan for one to be called just to gather them all in one place since they were all getting hunted down. This way they could be trained and protect themselves from the bringers.
The Dames Posted January 30, 2003 Author Report Posted January 30, 2003 Wait, a new Slayer is about to be called? Did they kill of Faith with just a line of dialouge? Am I missing something here? Steve Joss has his loopholes, but he woudn't mess up something like this. The Scoobies are probably just clueless to this or something. I don't think they know that Buffy "died" already. There was a part where one of the potentials said to another "I heard there's another one...". They know about her, but they don't realize that the lineage is with her. Dames
Guest Kagato Otaku Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 But Graduation Day clearly was rooted in fantasy with the Big Bad Demon being the reason why the school had to be blown up, granted there is the Wheedon/Buffyesque allegory to the feelings of "going out of HS with a big bang" but the whole storyline was based on severe fantasy and would not nesseccearilly caused severe trauma to the audience. I'm too lazy to look up and see if I said this earlier, but the reason the WB gave for this ep being postponed was because they were worried it'd give kids the idea to bring weapons under their gowns.
LaParkaYourCar Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Whoa did anyone just see the previews for next week's episode??? Is this finally another comedy episode?.....all this seriousness was getting me down. Oh and I read somewhere... SPOILERS that Amy will be on the next new episode.
cawthon777 Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Okay, so I can't have the real thing (damn you, Wesley)...so I'll take this instead.
The Dames Posted January 31, 2003 Author Report Posted January 31, 2003 Ohhh... I can't wait for Faith and Evil Willow action figures... Dames
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Okay, so I can't have the real thing (damn you, Wesley)...so I'll take this instead. I'd play with it. Although her banging Wesley did cost her the spot on my avatar...I could only put up with it for so long.
cawthon777 Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Ohhh... I can't wait for Faith and Evil Willow action figures... Dames Faith is already out, she's just under the Angel action figure line (made by the same people). The only place you can find any of them is on eBay since only so many are made. Not telling how much I paid for Willow ... let's say 2 DVDs worth.
Guest Cavi Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 Dru and Fiesta Giles action figures > All the others. Most of them don't even look very much like their real life counterparts, but then again, that is the case with so many figures out there (I shudder at some of the Jakks Pacific WWE ones). A new series featuring Willow, Tara, and Anya is due out this spring. Riley, Adam, D'Hoffryn, Demon Giles, and The Judge after that. I also think Darla, Lorne, and Wes are coming out on the Angel side of things in the next few months as well.
