Before it told Caleb he was "the only one strong enough to be my vessel" but I am thinking it's plan is to use Spike as it's vessel. That would explain why Spike was so important to it early on in the season.

The episode tonight was solid, can't wait for the finale though~! Also loved the ending with the First possibly getting back into Spike's head again. I SO want all of the SIT's to die, especially after the opening with them. Christ, can't any of them at least punch? Damn...

The explanation of the weapon I didn't really dig, but at least they acknowledged how they basically pulled it out of their ass. Buffys convos with Spike and Xander were really really good too, even though she totally whored the 'you are my strength' line on both of em.

When Xander and Dawn were cleaning out the car and the crossbow was mentioned, Dawn spoke of an incident with Miss Kitty, and how she no longer uses crossbows because of it. Poor Kitty I think I hate Rona more than anybody else in the history of the show (even topping Kendra).

She obviously doesn't wanna be there or do any of it yet she was one of the most vocal SiT's during the fight with Buffy. Her character just screams, "I'm a total bitch....hate me" And I still don't get the Miss Kitty Fantastico reference...what happened?

Now Dawn is saying there was an "incident" with Kitty involving a crossbow. So the joke is that you can assume Dawn accidently killed the cat with a crossbow and that's why the cat left the show.

The scenes with him and Anya tonight were just gold (and did anyone else think there was a bit of some sort of tension going on between them there for a few minutes? the friend I was watching with and I both commented on it). And I totally marked out for Angel. Next week's episode is gonna be good. Too bad I'm gonna have to wait to see it.

And as a side note- with the town being deserted and everybody leaving, assuming the gang survives, where do they all go? I know Xander has his own businees as a contractor and can move onto the city, and Willow can always go stay with Giles in England again, but what about Buffy and Dawn? All they got is the house in Sunnydale, where do they go? And on a morbid note- what about all of the loved ones they had to burry over the years? Do they just leave Jenny, Joyce, and Tara burried in a ghost town?

I don't really like the whole Buffy/Angel kiss, something didn't seem right about it. Whatever it is, it just didn't seem right. They know that they can't be together, then why the fuck did they kiss? Because of the moment? It just didn't sit well with me. I have a feeling that next weeks episode will be just as good as Becoming Pt 2. Something that big will happen, just like in Becoming. Whatever it is, will rock the house.

In Joss Whedon's comic "Fray," the weapon is the last thing that links the Melaka Fray, the slayer of the future, to her past. It's also the last piece of wood on earth. So at least they didn't just think it up on the spot. Sorry if that's been posted before.

I mean, the end fight with Caleb was a freaking comedy bit once Angel showed up. Buffy's little speeches to Xander and Spike were lame. The explanation behind the Scythe of Death was cheesy. Dawn sucks. I did like the Andrew/Anya scene though. Oh, and the Buffy/Angel interaction was just silly. I mean, I thought maybe they were going to pass off the Caleb fight as some happy dream sequence, but yeah, guess that isn't happening. Just...ugh. But yeah, I was the only one disappointed by this ep then?
