Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 25, 2003 Report Posted May 25, 2003 Alyson Pic from Sig Saved to computer...thanks
Guest DawnBTVS Posted May 25, 2003 Report Posted May 25, 2003 Bloody hell's up with that? Couldn't see your post Youth....damn, lol. Your welcome too btw. <---Full of Season 2 Goodness(Now watching Surprise)
Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 25, 2003 Report Posted May 25, 2003 The only thing better then watching Suprise...is that Passion isn't too far away.
Guest DawnBTVS Posted May 25, 2003 Report Posted May 25, 2003 Just watched Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered again and I must say it's a fun episode. Forgot all about the other things(Angel beginning the whole torture Buffy process) happening amidst the Xander love saga. Loved the touch with Willow shedding a tear as she says the word "bitch"(Never noticed this before).
Guest Mole Posted May 25, 2003 Report Posted May 25, 2003 Nothing can touch "Becoming Pt 2" in season 2, NOTHING. Best ending to a love story, better than Romeo and Juliet, IMHO.
Guest Mole Posted May 25, 2003 Report Posted May 25, 2003 By the way, does anyone like my new banner?
Guest RandomMallChicksRule Posted May 25, 2003 Report Posted May 25, 2003 Dawn I must say that is a hot pic of Alyson Hannigan in your sig. I concur...I haven't seen that one online before. It's one of my favorite pics of her Also another fav. is the one with the zebra and her looking up(Had her in my 1st IZ sig). I'll try and find a link to the pic for you Y N' A. Alyson Pic from Sig I like the Buffy picture also, I've seen it on other sites but very small in scythe. And scythe matters you know. Anyway could you please post a link for that pic? Thanks for reading.

Guest LaParkaMarka Posted May 25, 2003 Report Posted May 25, 2003 Yeah, wicked banner. No Troika/Caleb love though?
Guest Mole Posted May 25, 2003 Report Posted May 25, 2003 No Caleb because he wasn't a "Big Bad" like the other 5. I am working on one to add Greek Trio, that will be up soon. And the First was, everyone, so I can't really use it.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted May 25, 2003 Report Posted May 25, 2003 I was thinking the same thing, but it is a lot tougher after season 5. All those years you've got your main villain, but in Season 6 you could make a strong case for either the Trio or Willow. 7 gets even tougher, though you could use the kinda lame looking big "I'm a demon rarr" haze the First gave off when it a) appeared in "Amends," b) sorta channeled through Willow when she tried to use some sort of spell, and c) merged with Caleb. But really, that just looked like a big angry bull with red eyes or something, nor is it widely recognizable. Ah, the difficult dilemmas we face in life.
Guest Mole Posted May 25, 2003 Report Posted May 25, 2003 (edited) Well I made this one with all of the Big Bads, but Willow and The First. I will improve it later, but I've been working on it for like 90 minutes, and I am tired of it. Which one is better? Edited May 25, 2003 by Mole
Guest Sakura Posted May 25, 2003 Report Posted May 25, 2003 What's funny is that all 3 times they've shown the First's true form it's been the exact same CG animation. They just recycle it. If I was making a big bad sig for season 6 I would use Warren and for 7 I would use a shot of The First as Caleb from the finale.
Guest LaParkaMarka Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 Bah. My new girlfriend does not like Buffy. Apparently she considers herself "too old for it". Whatever, she's only 25. Boooooooo. Maybe I'll get her into Angel somehow.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 Dump her. She is obviously a simple person...and I hate to have to be the one to break it to you...but people who judge that show based on the name or a random episode are stupid people who are not worth your time. You can't be to old for good storytelling and meaningful characters.
Guest Cavi Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 By the way, does anyone like my new banner? I had an idea for such a sig months ago! You must have gone all man witch and read my mind. That, or you just thought it up on your own. Cool work
Guest Mole Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 By the way, does anyone like my new banner? I had an idea for such a sig months ago! You must have gone all man witch and read my mind. That, or you just thought it up on your own. Cool work It could be better, but thanks though. Question; what did Spike say when he woke up from his dream? And does that have to do with anything? I tried listening again, again, and again, but I can't hear what he is saying. Damn accent.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 A question. Why did they "kill" Buffy. After what season 5?
Guest Mole Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 A question. Why did they "kill" Buffy. After what season 5? Aw gosh. Well, she has died twice actually. The first time was in season 1, the Master killed her, but she was only dead for 6 minutes. LONG story short, Dawn isn't a real person, but actually a key. This key can open a dimension that Glory wants to get into. When this happens, the whole world will go away. Dawn's blood was able to open the dimension and close it. Since Buffy is her sister and has the same blood that she does, she was able to close it. So she jumped into the "door" I guess you can call it, and stopped it from sucking in the earth. She then died.
Guest Mole Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 He said "I'm drowning in footwear." Ohh okay, thanks.
Guest Damn You Helmsley Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 I thought when the portal opened, all the other millions of dimensions "bleed into eachother". But I haven't watched Season 5 since it originally aired so I'm quite possibly wrong.
Guest Cavi Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 Yes, that was going to happen, and it actually started when it opened (the lightning bolts, the building morphing with the monsters, the huge dragon). "The gates will close when it [the blood] flows no more." So when Buffy jumped in and was subsequently killed because of it, the portal closed and the dimensions went back to their normal state.
Guest Damn You Helmsley Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 The whole episode was good, especially when briefly Giles went back into Ripper mode when he killed Ben. But The Body is my favourite from the season. All round brilliance.
LaParkaYourCar Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 Yes, that was going to happen, and it actually started when it opened (the lightning bolts, the building morphing with the monsters, the huge dragon). "The gates will close when it [the blood] flows no more." So when Buffy jumped in and was subsequently killed because of it, the portal closed and the dimensions went back to their normal state. But the blood was just a vessel for pouring the mystical energy Dawn was made of into the portal, which brings up the biggest plot hole in Buffy history, in that Buffy DOESN'T have mystical energy in her no matter how similar her and Dawn's blood are. So Buffy jumping into the portal should have done nothing.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 This is one of the oldest arguments in the Buffyverse, but I think the intent was that, regardless of mystical energies, they did have the same blood. Dawn was essentially made from Buffy. In the episode "Blood Ties" in particular--the one where Dawn finds out that she's the key, and we find out that Glory is Ben (wait...Glory...is...Ben???)--the writers put an extreme focus on blood symbolism throughout, and the conclusion with Buffy and Dawn in the hospital talking about having the same blood hammers it home. Once Dawn's blood opened the portal, she stopped being a Key, and was basically just a vessel. For the purposes of being a vessel, Buffy served the same purpose, and taking the plunge took care of it. The entire "death is your gift" business with the Primitive that's visited in "Intervention" and "The Weight of the World" suggests that this has been the hidden answer all along and is something that we're supposed to see make sense in the frame of the world.
LaParkaYourCar Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 But the portal doesn't close until the key stops being poured in it. The key is the mystical energy and the portal shouldn't have stopped until the mystical energy had stopped flowing into it.
