10 was dead, so I watched the new real world last night. Wow, they got a bigger bunch of assholes than you could ever imagine. One of the girls (Byrnn I think her name was) seems to be a ready made stalker. Her esteem seems to be totally dependant on everyone loving her best.

 

This season seems to have violence, betrayal and HLA.

I haven't regularly watched the Real World in about 2-3 years. I followed the Hawaii cast until the end, and thought they were a great bunch of people. I didn't get into New Orleans, stopped watching a few eps in, and haven't looked back.

I was flipping channels tonight and saw a promo for an upcoming Real World, and, if I'm not mistaken, it was coming from Las Vegas?!?!

 

Real World Las Vegas? Uh-huh...

I watched it. Steve was such a backstabber. He stroked Frank's ego so much, then turns around and gets with the same girl.....haha what an asshole.

 

Does anyone visit the real world message board? Their admins delete shit like crazy. Seems they don't want ANY info on drug use by castmates disclosed. Cara from CHicago did an interview saying she was caught smoking pot by the camera crew and told, if she did it again, she would be off the show. So I posted this interview there, got a bunch of responses, and then it was YANKED by admins.....haha

I think this will probably go down as the most annoying cast. Between Brynn, who in every one of her confessionals has to make sure to tell us how big of a party animal she is, how she is really jealous of all the other girls in the house, and how she always gets what she wants all in the first show, and the one girl who has to mention growing up in the projects in every single sentence, I think I will continue to watch it for a few more episodes to give it a chance since I'm a RW fan, but if it gets too annoying, i'll stop altogether and wait for next season. I mean, you have a girl who tries to play herself off as innocent saying "I don't need sex" at the start of the show, who forms a relationship with a guy on the cast who has a big crush on her, and a guy who claims to be the guy with the crush's friend sucking face all night long at a bar, and then doing it in front of the guy with the crush, then appologizing about it because they were drunk, then making out again in front of him, then going into the room next to his to have sex. That's a very fucked up thing to do to a person. Most of them seem very fake too, and thats one thing I can't really stand.

Damn, for smokin pot? But they will sit there and let them get completely drunk and watch them get behind the wheel of a car. Thousands of people die each year from this one drug, but it's a good drug because it's legal. Even though this other drug here has caused no reported deaths, it's illegal, so it's a bad drug and you'll be kicked off of the show for using it. Does that make any kind of sense?

Well, I just saw the pilot after MTV decided to replay it for the first of 300 times. This season definitely doesn't look boring compared to most, so I'll probably check it out. I do kinda feel bad for Frank though, he got played.

Not to mention the fact that MTV constantly promotes underaged drinking on both Real World and Road Rules. Half of the kids they get on those show are under 21 and SOMEHOW they get into bars and get crazy drunk and MTV shows it like it's okay. Now, yeah I did my drinking when I was under 21 as well, but MTV is kinda ridiculous with it.

 

Anyway, this season is so fake it's not even funny. People getting in fights left and right, people getting pregnant, people hooking up and fucking right away, petty jealousy. Doesn't seem very real to me.
