Guest Jubuki Report post Posted September 19, 2002 HEEEELLLLOOOOO - it's 2002 All Japan: how many pounds of shit do you want in your hands for fifty dollars, sir??
Guest Guybrush Threepwood Report post Posted September 19, 2002 I'd go to Highspots and get 5 of there AJ Tv tapes from 1993. That's assuming you've not got them already.
Guest wolverine Report post Posted September 19, 2002 I got the AJ '93 TV tapes from Tabe, personally. The Feb.-Apr. and Aug.-Sept. are perhaps the two best tapes I own. With the Kobashi-Hansen match being the best "TV exclusive" match I've ever seen.
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted September 19, 2002 Just in case you haven't gotten the point yet, good God, no. I would strongly suggest you put your money into a more practical business venture, like flushing it down the toilet. Seriously, it's not worth it.
Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted September 19, 2002 Williams, Abdullah, Rotunda, Ka Shin, Apeman, Cedman, Kokushi!??! all this, plus, Bart "The Hammer" Gunn in a CC Final!!! Ooooh, I'm There!!!
Guest PlatypusFool Report post Posted September 19, 2002 Those are ALL a shower of shite.
Guest Evil Ash Report post Posted September 22, 2002 I got the same offer as you. There's no way I'd pay fidy bucks for that crap. The only thing I'm remotely interested in is the Champions Carnival, but it has such shitty booking I don't see the point. Blah. Now, if they come out with a comp of the current All Japan tour, that I'd be interested in.
Guest PlatypusFool Report post Posted September 23, 2002 Hmm, it's certainly a bit better than what they've been throwing out for the rest of the year, but I'd still not want to pay money for it. Literally the only thing AJPW has thrown up in the last year or two I'm interested in seeing is Tenryu / Kojima from July, and that's on it's way to me so... Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted September 23, 2002 The only difference between that and current AJPW is the Goldberg affect. No offense, I mean, if you're into that stuff, more power to you.
Guest Evil Ash Report post Posted September 23, 2002 Goldberg isn't on the tour. Actually, the current All Japan tour had no foreigners but Kea and Yang, and the mid-card looked alot less muddled. I'm willing to bet that with Kea, Nagai, Kojima, Hakushi, and Hase actually having some decent opponents that there'll be some good matches. Plus, the junior tag league should be pretty good. Hayashi and Yang are always fun to watch.
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted September 24, 2002 Nagai is totally one-dimensional, Kea is a spotty worker, Hase is a rellic, and Jinsei is, well...Jinsei. I like Kojima, but he's no miracle worker himself, and with Tenryu in his fifties, I really don't see where there's room for good matches in AJPW at all. Kaz and Yang can produce fun, listless sprints if they have decent opponents, but frankly, they don't have any right now. Fuchi? Ka Shin? Naniwa? Not exactly an all-star line up for juniors there. I just can't get into AJPW right now. At all.
