Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted September 19, 2002 Report Posted September 19, 2002 Jesse Ventura stated on MSNBC's Hardball College Tour w/ Chris Matthews that he plans to return to wrestling. Ventura added that it will take him 3 years to get back in shape. Ventura also made mention of Brock Lesnar being WWE Champion. Credit: 1wrestling.com
Guest Youth N Asia Posted September 19, 2002 Report Posted September 19, 2002 Well...he was never what I'd call a "good" wrestler. good character, but as a wrestler he was below average. But in 3 years would anyone still care? I'd much rather he come back on heel commentary and retire Lawler.
Guest Brian Posted September 19, 2002 Report Posted September 19, 2002 For the Austin/Goldberg promotion, more of a figurehead is the rumor.
Guest HartFan86 Posted September 19, 2002 Report Posted September 19, 2002 Ventura shouldn't wrestle....he should commentate.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted September 19, 2002 Report Posted September 19, 2002 He said on Larry King that he would go back, but would do non-wrestling duties. I'd personally like to see him replace Lawler.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted September 19, 2002 Report Posted September 19, 2002 Jesse can't wrestle, can he? Doesn't he have a bad lung or something?
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 19, 2002 Report Posted September 19, 2002 Ventura would be an awesome commentator, especially if he could channel his old style and all.
Guest The Czech Republic Posted September 19, 2002 Report Posted September 19, 2002 He's got such a better announcer's voice than Jim and Jerry.
Guest chirs3 Posted September 19, 2002 Report Posted September 19, 2002 Ross and Ventura... please dear God, let it be so...
Guest Vitamin X Posted September 20, 2002 Report Posted September 20, 2002 Then Styles/Heyman on Smackdown!
Guest DJ Jeff Posted September 20, 2002 Report Posted September 20, 2002 I agree, I'd like to see Ventura return to the WWE as a commentator. That would be sweet to hear Ross/Ventura commentating on RAW. Plus, Smackdown could have Cole/Lawler, and the WWE could finally push Tazz somewhat.
Guest Trivia247 Posted September 20, 2002 Report Posted September 20, 2002 I'd rather see Ventura in the announcer seat than wrestle. besides on that interview with Chris Matthews he was probably joking.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted September 20, 2002 Report Posted September 20, 2002 Then Styles/Heyman on Smackdown! now THIS, I would mark out for
Guest Vern Gagne Posted September 20, 2002 Report Posted September 20, 2002 Does Ventura even follow the WWE anymore. If he doesn't know what the hell is going on a comes in half-assed which he was in WCW than don't even bother. Does Heyman even wanna announce anymore, or would he rather concentrate on his writing duties.
Guest creativename Posted September 20, 2002 Report Posted September 20, 2002 Does Ventura even follow the WWE anymore. If he doesn't know what the hell is going on a comes in half-assed which he was in WCW than don't even bother. Hey don't worry, the boys will be sure to clue him in to the only thing that's important for a WWE employee to know: must give HHH verbal blow jobs at all available opportunities, no matter how little sense they make, and even if they are feuding with him at the time. Hogan: "HHH is the best I have ever faced!" Bischoff: "If I had HHH in WCW, I would have won and driven the WWF into bankruptcy!" Flair: "You (HHH) are the man!"
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted September 20, 2002 Report Posted September 20, 2002 Personally, I'd like to hear Ventura rip into Cole every week on smackdown. There's absolutely nothing MC could do but cry after a two-hour verbal assreaming from Jesse.
