Do Over

The new WB show Do Over wasn't half bad. This is the one where the guy wakes up and realizes he's 14 again. The premiere had him wake up at the worst possible time...the day before his student council election, where he had only gotten 7 votes. Naturally, this time he "did it over", and wound up winning. He also uses his knowledge of the future to his advantage, and to try and keep his parents together (they're divorced when we meet the adult Joel at the beginning). Next week's episode looks like it'll be funny as well, so this show will hopefully have a good run.

One problem though...Joel wakes up in 1981, and several songs throughout the show were from later in the 80's. Our House and You Spin Me Round came out in the mid-80's, but since they were used in "flashback" scenes, you could chalk it up to Joel relating memories to the songs. However, when his alarm goes off, they play Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go by WHAM, which came out I believe in 1984.

Anyone else catch it? What did you guys think?

ABC has a show similar to this, and it looked stupid in the preview commercials I saw last night, so I doubt it will last.

I saw the show and thought it was pretty good. I am waiting though for the first episode where he tries to use what he knows and still fails. Before that happens the show should be easy to write flashback, wackiness ensues with new knowledge, he is now a winner, popular, and happy. If the first failing episode is good I might stick with the show.
