kenta kobashi's prime

What year or years was he in his prime and what are his best matches?

I'm trying to get into puro and i've really gotten into his matches.

Anywhere froma bout 94 to 97 Kobaashi was delivering awesome matches. Even into 99 he had great matches with Misawa. Then the injuries really started to take a toll but I hear he is doing a pretty good job nowadays.

Kenta had a Flair-like year in 1993, but overall, his prime would be from 93-97, as he had an awesome run.

I agree...but he WAS in the best tag matches of 1995. His singles stuff SUCKED THE MEAT ROCKET.

If Kobashi had a "Flair-like" year in '93, it wouldn't have been such a great year. Somehow I can't see Kenta begging off. He may have been involved in several classics from 95-98, but his best time in his best role was from late '90 to late '93; he was playing fiery kid under Misawa's wing at that point and never found another role that he clicked in so well.

His 93 match with Stan Hansen...UN-Fucking-REAL...That lariat fucking SILENCED THE CROWD...never seen something so powerful.

Just to comment on that match...did it seemed like one of the two just mailed it in? I was thinking MONEY MATCH...but they really didn't seem too into it.

Who the fuck knows. Kobashi's performance was just hideous, and Misawa couldn't reel him in at all. It should've been great, but instead it was ridiculous.
