Guest HVilleThugg Report post Posted September 24, 2002 Well, it's very annoying to see 2 of the matches i booked not written. Come on...what happened there? I know about Wilson, but I'm a bit surprised by ELM...where'd you go bro? And Sacred...I thought he'd show for that one. Decent promo to open the show. In my mind, it did a lot to bring the Thoth/Silent feud to a level closer to Raynor/Edwin since it has been a little light lately. I also liked how it combined things with the 4 of them, and kind of gave some foreshadowing to what's coming in the next few months. Also, it really solidified Raynor as the kind of heel King was. I saw glimpses of King in Raynor, the cowardness...the whininess...you know, like Jericho a bit. Did you ask King for pointers or something? The amtches? Well...didn't really go through them that much, but they all looked straight forward. Good job to those who wrote, and shame to those who didn't. In the future, just let me know you can't be booked. The main event was nice...goot psych...the ending was decent. I like how Raynor pinned Edwin with a school boy with help fro Silent...very nice heelish touch there. Again, solidifying Raynor as a king-like heel...cheater...whiner...complainer...scared pussy...me like. And then, of course, there's THoth/Silent in HIAC. That shouold be a nice match with tons of history dating back to their HIAC encounter last year. Comment! Guest Muzz Report post Posted September 24, 2002 Yeah, sorry about that, this has been and wil be a hectic week for me, so I didn't no show for, you know... not wanting to put in effort. I needed to put in effort for school work... damnit, I never do that. What was there made for a good show though, well done.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted September 24, 2002 Well, the no-shows a-go-go suck the supernut, but hey, look on the bright side: since I helped write one of the matches, that's only two matches I need to read, so I'll probably actually get to look at this show! Woo!
Guest HVilleThugg Report post Posted September 24, 2002 That's good to know Muzz...I ain't made atcha. I know how that shit goes. I was just annoyed, that's all. I think, on the whole, I'm less upset about the noshow-fest that's been occurring lately here than I have been in the past. I think it's because I knew it was coming and it's to be expected with everyone taking on many more responsibilities with school starting and such. Also, I know that people enjoy this place and would put in the effort if they had the time, given the great summer we had. Since we went a long time without noshow city, it shows that when people have the time, they write...so I can understand when they don't. Shit, I remember what it was like with school and writing...i just chose to write instead. Was that the right decision? Meh...who knows, but I'm in my 6th year of school...largely because I chose to write (not the fault of hte fed though cause I would have found something else to do instead of doing my work). I guess the point is, I'm not mad about the no shows...just a little annoyed...but it has passed. I'd like to see a little more proactiveness though...like, when people know they have a hectic week coming up or something, just drop us a PM and ask not to be booked. Then again, if all the people who no showed on Smarkdown asked for it off, the show would have ended the same way. Anyway, what was there was good...although I felt that the 2 lower card matches lacked their usual flare and didn't really excite me that much. But that's just my opinion. Guest Ace309 Report post Posted September 24, 2002 Well, I'm on campus now, so I'm sadly unable to read the whole show at this point. I will, however, say that the promos were excellent. - The opening promo was everything that would be expected from RaynEdwIlenThoth. Whoever wrote this one, I salute you and will at some point buy you a beer. - Frost, man, sorry about the miscommunication. I assume you might have written this differently had you known you were going to punk out Ash earlier in the evening. When Xero told me to include you guys, I assumed he'd run it past you. Still a nice little bit. - Annie and Tod... very nice. Annie's a bitch. Tod's angry. Woohoo! VERY, VERY nice.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted September 24, 2002 my dad must have read Raynor's post on "why it is a good time to spend quality time with your son, who can not be able to write afterwards." I had sunday to write, but once I got up, I had to go for a "family walk" but also I got to swing a club and smack a white little ball for 6 hours... I think it is called "Golf?"
