New Orleans, La. (DE Newswire) Facing the onslaught of Tropical Storm Isidore, the normally laid-back citizens of Louisiana and Mississippi aren't too happy with Vince McMahon and the WWE.

A hurricane watch stretched some 300 miles from Cameron in southwestern Louisiana to Pascagoula, Miss., and Mississippi Gov. Ronnie Musgrove declared a state of emergency for his state.

"The World Wrestling Federation are the most insensitive group on TV," says La. native, Greg Jamerson. "They could be using some of those millions they make to help out. People have already lost their homes and lives down here from these storms and they show a wrestler on Monday named 'Hurricane'".

"Business is dead and there are no women here to give beads to," complained Brian Lovell, manager of the Dixieland Hot Spot on Bourbon Street. "They could at least send a diva or two or three down to get our spirits up."

New Orleans, the nation's biggest city with a low point below sea level,

prepared for heavy rain by closing flood walls, putting all pumping stations

in full operation, sandbagging roads near the water and even asking

hospitals to delay elective surgeries.

You HAVE to be fucking kidding me. I'm not WWE's biggest fan these days, but why is it that everyone and their mother thinks that Vince should have to cater to them when something unfortunate happens? Fuck even when it's not closesly associatied with wrestling.. they still shit on them.

If everything is in such a bad state down there, then what the fuck are they doing watching RAW on Monday night instead of "helping out" with the damages?

Idiots.

I have to seriously consider whether this is a "real" article. What does the WWE have to do with the aftermath of a hurricane? And more importantly, Shane Helms' alter ego was named BEFORE the fact, so complaining about that is just dumb. Do people living on the San Andreas fault complain about the wrestler Earthquake? No, because he was named before the fact, and isn't meant to insult them or anything. Seriously, if its not intentionally insulting to anyone and its not even related to wrestling, what the hell does Vince have to do with any of it?

I'm not Vince's biggest fan all the time, but why the Hell does everyone and their mother go after him for money and other crap?

Damn, bitch about Bill Gates not helping out or something.

Good thing when ABC aired "Storm of the Century" there wasn't any hurricane activity going on...

This story's been put up at Rajah. There are some gullible people out there (and in here).

I think the article is fake. The Diva comment is just too ludicrous. I am not sure why anyone would put that quote in their paper. Their anger with WWE over the "Hurricane" character is not really newsworthy anyway.

If that is real (which i highly doubt) it just goes to show you how messed up some people are. I mean come on, they run the un-american angle, but people complain about the hurricane gimmick.

And anway, if you ask me, we dont see enough of my man shane helms on prime time wwe programming!

ChUnK! => Number 1 Hurricane mark
