“KING! KING! KING!”

The hometown fans yell out in appreciation for their hometown boy, as Edwin MacPhisto wonders to himself if the chants will ever stop. Meanwhile, Axis performs the ancient mystical ritual that transforms him from mild-mannered announcer to The Mighty Hypeman! Using his powers only for good and never for evil, The Mighty Hypeman yells forth…

“The first match tonight is going to be one hell of a confrontation as we have a bit of a contrast in style as “The Barracuda” Johnny Dangerous takes on Ejiro Fasaki in a hardcore match.”

“It’s entertainment versus wrestling in one of those deep philosophical battles that can only be settled through mind bending violence. God bless America,” chips in King.

The theme from “James Bond” begins to play and the fans erupt as “The Barracuda” steps onto the stage into the middle of a white spotlight. He pauses for a moment before making a play for an imaginary gun, and a “POW!” hits the sound system and a red blood effect flows down the spotlight. Suddenly a lot more animated, Johnny begins to walk down to the ring, blowing kisses and spending some time with some of the cuter female members of the fans in attendance. He climbs into the ring as Funyon starts his announcing duties.

“This match is scheduled for one fall and is to be contested under HARDCORE rules! Introducing first, from Las Vegas, Nevada and weighing in at 205 pounds… he is the agent of atomic drops… the spy of suplexes… Diamond cutters are forever … “The Barracuda” JOHNYYYYYY DANGEROUS!”

“I still can’t believe that Jack the Ripper thinks that Johnny is an actual spy.”

“Yeah well, Jack thinks he’s actually a serial killer from the 1800’s. He’s not exactly the best judge of that sort of thing.”

“And his opponent…”

Ejiro Fasaki steps out from the entrance way as the fans give him a mixed reaction of both cheers and boos. Wearing a bloody red this evening and sporting a bandage across his nose, Ejiro looks out to the crowd and groves to the sound of his theme song, “Sellout”. Ejiro slingshots into the ring as Funyon calls out…

“Weighing in at 188 pounds and hailing from Sarasota, Florida… he is EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEJIRO FASAKI!!!

The bell rings as Ejiro reaches into his short robe and pulls forth…

“A derby hat!!!”

As Johnny looks on in fear for a moment, gazing left and right for some sort of way out of the perilous situation, Fasaki rears back and …

“Oh man, here comes the Oddjob special, look out Johnny D.!” screams out Edwin in alarm as Ejiro sends the hat spinning at Johnny like a flying disk of death!

But Johnny deftly catches the hat in midair and whips it right back at Ejiro even faster than before!!! Good thing for Fasaki, the derby just bounces off of his chest. I mean honestly, who would actually put a razor sharp metal ring into a hat? Johnny and Ejiro look at each for a moment, Johnny stunned that the hat didn’t do more damage, and Fasaki amazed that Dangerous actually caught the damn thing and threw it back at him. Fasaki pulls off his robe and stares a hole into his opponent, who is only too happy to return the glare. Tired at looking at each other like idiots, Dangerous and Ejiro charge at each other like bulls. When they meet in the center of the ring, Dangerous leapfrogs over the top and swings backwards with a martial arts kick, but Ejiro ducks underneath and sends Johnny over with an arm drag. Johnny quickly kips up to his feet and we have a standoff.

Edwin shouts, "A quick opening salvo and neither guy gets an advantage. Although Johnny did connect with the hat throw. We'll see how that comes back on Ejiro later on in the match."

Johnny and Ejiro circle each other for a moment before locking up in a collar-and-elbow tie up. Both men push each other back and forth, until Ejiro drops down with an arm drag that sends Johnny to the mat for a moment. Dangerous quickly rolls to his feet and charges forward, but Ejiro leapfrogs over him and Dangerous hits the ropes for more momentum. As Dangerous comes running forward, Ejiro tries for another leapfrog but Dangerous hits the breaks, grabs Ejiro's legs in midair and slings Ejiro's head down to the mat. Quickly, while Fasaki is stunned from the pseudo spinebuster, Dangerous attempts to turn Fasaki over into a Boston crab. But Fasaki uses his leg strength to flip Johnny over onto his side. Fasaki kips up to his feet while Johnny does a forward roll up. We have yet another stalemate!

"You know what would break this stalemate, Axis?" asks The Suicide King.

"What's that?"

"Hitting the other guy with a brick! Some hardcore match this is! Sheesh!"

The two opponents circle each other again. This time Ejiro rushes forward and attempts a spinheel kick but Dangerous quickly dodges underneath as Fasaki goes flying over his head. Johnny strikes back quickly takes down Ejiro with a leaping kick of his own that sends Ejiro rolling out of the ring and to the arena floor. Dangerous climbs up to the top rope and looks to size Ejiro for a high flying maneuver but Fasaki wisely walks away from that turnbuckle and walks around the ring. Johnny has no choice but to climb down off his perch as Ejiro slides back into the ring from the opposite side.

"You know for all his talk of being this great wrestler who can't be beaten," observes Edwin, "Ejiro seems to be pretty evenly matched up with Johnny. I guess wrestling school never taught the class on fighting super spies."

Fasaki and Johnny lock up again in a collar-and-elbow tie up for a moment before Fasaki quickly applies a side headlock. Exerting pressure to the hold, Ejiro manages to drive Dangerous down to one knee for a moment, but Johnny quickly presses back up against the hold and regains his vertical base. "The Barracuda" rears back and tosses Fasaki into the ropes, dropping down as Fasaki rebounds. Catching Fasaki on the run, Dangerous attempts to lift Fasaki up for a scoop slam but Fasaki floats over the top and quickly grabs the back of Johnny's tuxedo jacket! Ejiro quickly pulls down on the jacket, restricting Dangerous' ability to use his arms. Turning around quickly, Dangerous is met with a series of three strait elbows to the head. Ejiro takes a step back and unleashes one big screaming elbow that sends Dangerous flying to the canvas. Ejiro quickly makes a cover for a …

Th…NO!

"The big elbow certainly rocked Dangerous, but it will take a whole lot more than that to keep him down for three," reports Axis.

With Johnny's arms still tangled up in his jacket, Ejiro shoves him backwards into a corner and begins to lay in a series of round kicks to the chest. Again and again, Fasaki's legs swing like a meat cleaver into Dangerous' chest. Fasaki backs away from the corner and charges forward with a high knee, but Johnny dodges out of the corner and Ejiro's knee slams right into the top turnbuckle! Fasaki quickly pulls himself up to his feet, only to get sent right back down to the canvas with a superkick to the face! Dangerous quickly pulls off his jacket and tosses it to the outside as Ejiro begins to slowly pull himself up by the ropes. Coming up from behind, Dangerous reaches underneath Ejiro's legs and tosses him over the top rope to the arena floor. Johnny quickly climbs out to the apron and waits on Ejiro to get back to his feet. Dangerous trots across the apron and …

"FRANKENSTEINER from the apron to the floor!"

"And his head was driven square into the concrete, Axis! I'm shocked there aren't brains splattered all over the arena," says The Suicide King, “It’s always great for Edwin to see what he doesn’t have.”

Getting to his feet, Johnny looks out to the crowd and gets a round of cheers for his "dangerous" maneuver. As the world cringes at the horror that was that pun, Johnny takes a hold of Fasaki and takes him back down to the floor with a spinning neckbreaker. Ejiro grabs his neck and begins to tremble on the floor, but Dangerous isn't about to show his opponent any mercy and sends him rolling back into the ring. Johnny pulls himself up to the apron, looks out to the crowd, and waits for Ejiro to get back up. Johnny swings himself up to the top rope and goes flying into space with a flying bodypress! Matthew Kivell drops down and counts a …

Ejiro barely kicks away in time and rolls over onto his stomach to avoid more lateral presses as Johnny regains his feet. Johnny quickly gets a little head of steam going and drops a leg across the back of Fasaki's neck. Ejiro arches in pain and tries to get back up to his feet, but while he is still on his hands and knees, Johnny applies another legdrop down across his neck. Johnny lifts Fasaki off the mat and sends him into the ropes, catching him on the rebound with a big elbow to the chest. Johnny hits the ropes and drops an elbow across Fasaki's sternum, and then another, and then a third. Getting to his feet, Dangerous looks out to the fans and winks to the camera before taking Ejiro and sending him flying into the turnbuckles. Johnny climbs up to the middle rope and rains down a series of right hands into Fasaki's forehead.

Johnny stops, looks to the fans, and yells out, "DOUBLE 0!"

SEVEN!

Johnny drops down and whips Fasaki hard into the other corner and as Ejiro stumbles out, Johnny rushes forward and takes him down with another spinning neckbreaker. Ejiro attempts to cover up on the canvas, while protecting his neck, but Johnny won’t allow it. Dangerous hauls Ejiro back up and smashes him into the canvas with a tremendous body slam. Johnny begins to climb up to the top rope, with his back to the ring, and motions out to the crowd before sending himself flying with a corkscrew moonsault…

That misses! Ejiro rolls out of harms way as Dangerous destroys himself against the canvas. Ejiro slowly gets himself off the canvas as Johnny does the same. With both men on their feet, Ejiro tries to take Johnny down with a clothesline, but Dangerous ducks underneath. Ejiro continues his charge and comes back after hitting the ropes on the opposite end of the ring. Johnny leaps over the top as Ejiro comes back and then drops his head in an attempt to send Ejiro over with a backdrop, but Fasaki puts on the breaks and takes him down with a single arm DDT that drives Dangerous' left shoulder strait down into the mat. Fasaki quickly rolls out to the floor and grabs…

“He’s got a chair, I guess it’s time to go hardcore!”

“About time,” sighs King, “I’ve been waiting to see something bleed all day.”

Ejiro slides back into the ring and waits as Dangerous climbs up to his feet. Eyeing Dangerous up, Ejiro takes a mighty swing! But Dangerous ducks underneath and takes Ejiro down with a double leg takedown. Johnny looks behind him for a moment and proceeds to catapult Fasaki, chair and all, into the turnbuckle! Ejiro collides with the chair as it collides with the turnbuckle, and quite frankly gets the worse out of the exchange. The chair drops from Fasaki’s hands as Ejiro staggers about the ring for a moment. Johnny boots Fasaki square in the belly and hooks him in a front facelock, before driving him strait down with a DDT! Ejiro spasms on the mat for a moment before Johnny floats over and hooks a leg for…

One!

Two!

Thre…NOOO!

“Not yet! Axis, I have to admit that Fasaki can take a load of punishment, but Johnny will keep dishing it out unless Ejiro does something to turn this thing around. Hey, look King, you got your wish!”

Indeed, as blood has begun to drip from Fasaki’s broken nose from hitting the chair with his face. But at the moment, Fasaki is far more concerned with the state of his neck, after taking a serious amount of punishment to that portion of his anatomy. Johnny picks Ejiro off the canvas, and hooks Ejiro up for a belly-to-belly suplex, gripping him tightly around the chest and keeping Ejiro’s right arm locked against his body. Fortunately for Ejiro, he still has his left arm free, and he grabs Dangerous by the hair. Bringing Johnny’s head forward, Ejiro head butts him in the face in a desperate attempt to escape. Again and again, Fasaki’s forehead collides with Johnny’s face. Finally, Johnny attempts to release the belly-to-belly but Ejiro hangs on and hooks Dangerous’ arm behind his back! Pulling Johnny up and off his feet, Ejiro smashes him down to the canvas with an armbar slam. Johnny shakes his arm in pain, attempting to regain some measure of feeling while Fasaki wipes away the small amount of the blood that has trickled from his nose. Fasaki rushes forward and takes Johnny down to the canvas with a clothesline before collecting the steel chair from its spot on the mat.

Taking the chair, Ejiro places it underneath Johnny’s left arm and jams both down towards the mat, spearing Dangerous’ arm against the chair and sending him spiraling to the mat in a litany of pain. Clutching his arm in agony, Dangerous attempts to maneuver away from Fasaki, but Ejiro drags him back towards the center of the ring. Placing Johnny face down on the mat, Ejiro brings the chair down across Johnny’s shoulder like a spear, cracking down with terrible force. “The Barracuda” flops around the mat for a bit, while Fasaki continues to stalk him with the chair in hand. With Johnny still on his stomach, Ejiro places the chair around the arm, and while stepping on Johnny’s shoulder, wrenches back hard with the chair.

“Fasaki is using the chair in a form of an armbar! Wrenching that shoulder apart!”

“Even with a chair, Fasaki keeps using armbars. Just hit the guy with the stupid thing!”

Ejiro releases the chair and it flops down to the canvas, with Johnny’s arm still entwined within. Pulling Dangerous up by the hair, Fasaki pushes Johnny into a corner with the chair still attached to his arm. Walking up to his opponent, Ejiro begins to kick away at the chair, sandwiching the arm in the process. Smashing the arm again and again, Ejiro takes a moment to back away from the corner. Dangerous takes the opportunity to finally pull the chair off his arm and tosses it to the outside. A kick to the face sends Johnny down in a heap, sitting down in the corner. Fasaki slams a knee forward and crushes Johnny against the ropes with a brutal blow that snaps his neck back forcefully. Ejiro motions to Referee Matthew Kivell to check and see if Dangerous will be able to continue in hopes of getting a knock out victory. Kivell goes in to check, but Johnny refuses to throw in the towel. Furious, Ejiro grabs Dangerous by the collar and begins to shred his tuxedo shirt open, exposing his chest. Ejiro lays in a series of elbows to Dangerous’ head, and then with his hands around Johnny’s throat, yells out…

“I’m better than you, damn it! And I’m proving it!”

Meanwhile, Johnny is digging into his pants pocket with his right hand. Ignoring that fact, Fasaki proceeds to lay in chop after chop to Dangerous’ chest. Each one smacks against Johnny’s chest with a louder and louder pop. But then, Dangerous decides to pop Ejiro back. Pulling a short object out of his pants, Johnny quickly snaps his wrist and an extending baton is revealed! A look of fear passes across Fasaki’s face for a moment before Johnny brings the baton down across his shoulder. Driving Fasaki down to his knee for a moment, Dangerous steps to the side and drives the baton across the back of Fasaki’s calf, bending Ejiro backwards over his own knees. Johnny quickly whips the baton downwards, and smashes Fasaki in the face. Blood pours from Ejiro’s nose even worse than before as Dangerous tosses the baton out of the ring and digs into his pockets again.

“This does not bode well for Fasaki,” Axis says as he states the obvious, “What miniaturized weapon will Dangerous come out with next?”

“Looks like a pen to me,” answers Edwin.

“A pen? Is he going to write Ian Fleming that royalty check now or what?” follows King.

Actually no. Johnny unscrews the pen and exposes a length of garrote wire. Tightly holding onto the ends of the pen, Dangerous moves in behind Fasaki and wraps the wire tightly around his throat~! Gasping immediately, Fasaki struggles to breath while Johnny pulls back with all of his strength. Realizing he’s not going to be able to free himself by powering out from the wire, Ejiro begins to throw blind elbows behind him. Johnny absorbs them all, until a fluke left elbow collides with Johnny’s injured shoulder. Grasping the shoulder in pain, Dangerous releases the pressure on the wire. This allows Fasaki to quickly turn and bury Johnny with a swift screaming elbow to the face!

A bloody Ejiro unwraps the wire from around the throat and looks at Dangerous with a gleam of malicious intent on his face. Fasaki reaches forward with the wire to throttle Dangerous, but is met with a swift boot to the chest from Dangerous! With Fasaki doubled over, Dangerous hooks the head for, as Axis would say,

“This could be… The License to Kill!!!”

But Ejiro manages to shove Dangerous forward and into referee Matthew Kivell! With both men stunned but on their feet, Ejiro reaches over Johnny’s head and wraps the garrote wire over his throat from behind! The crowd gasps in fear as Johnny desperately tears away at his throat in an attempt to force the wire off and get another gasp of precious air, but Ejiro continues to wrench backwards. While Fasaki chokes away, the fans begin to rally behind “The Barracuda” by stomping their feet and clapping their hands.

“This is how Ejiro defends wrestling? With piano wire?” serves Edwin.

“What? You’ve never heard of the dreaded Greco Roman Wire Choke? It made Ed “The Strangler” Lewis famous,” returns King.

Dangerous slowly begins to fade under the pressure of the wire and falls to his knees as Ejiro continues to wrench back as hard as he can. The fans continue to stomp and clap and cheer for Johnny, and he responds in kind! Johnny’s eyes bug out of his head as he fights back up to his feet. Johnny turns slightly and buries a elbow into Fasaki’s stomach… and another…

So Fasaki turns around back-to-back with Johnny and lifts him up off his feet by the wire!!!

“It’s a bleeping hangman!” screams out Axis as Kivell quickly looks in on Dangerous before signaling for the bell!

Ejiro immediately lets go of the wire and Johnny comes tumbling off his shoulders and falling to the mat. His air supply finally returned, Dangerous begins to cough horrendously as Fasaki looks at him with disgust in his eyes as Kivell raises his arm in victory. Funyon announces to the booing crowd, “Ladies and Gentlemen, the referee has declared that Johnny Dangerous is unable to continue… the winner of the match… EJIRO FASAKI!!!” Ejiro makes his way to the middle rope and raises a hand to the fans as they greet him with a chorus of furious booing over his treatment of Dangerous. Axis explains that,

“The fans aren’t happy with Fasaki right now and rightly so… he could have seriously injured Dangerous with that hangman.”

“It was a hardcore match! What did they want, a Pokemon trading card game? Ash is on the other show, damn it” answers The Suicide King.

Fasaki hops off the ropes with a scowl on his face, glowering at the fans. He steps through the ropes and walks down the ramp way as a recovering, gagging Johnny Dangerous glares at Fasaki with a look that could kill… and has.

I didn't see anything wrong with the match itself, I don't like hardcore matches however. It was pretty solid, but I predicted some counters and sequences, and it was nothing I haven't seen before. I don't believe in stalemates and lengthy tie-up sessions to begin a match, it's all well and good for a normal match, for people expect something a bit different from a hardcore match.

The ending was exciting, but it just didn't come off well for me, but it did make sense. Very nice match though, trust me, you'll be no Cutthroat.

*sigh* I don't like giving comments on other people's matches when there's alot of problems in mine as well. Plus I'm usually way off with my comments.

Way I was figuring it, Ejiro and Johnny really didn't have a reason to be breaking stuff over each other's heads, what with Johnny having really nothing against Ejiro and Ejiro wanting to be "pure wrestler guy". So it would take a little bit of in match anger to get them to start pounding on each other with chairs and such. As far as reversals are concerned, I need to work on that part of my game... those things are hard to write IMO with a lot of words used to discribe very little action. I can see the point about the stalemates, I was going for something there, but I didn't describe it well enough via commentary to get it over.

Could you expand on that for me? It was exciting and made sense, but didn't come off well?

Hey its all good, I love getting comments about my matches, I need the help.

I read the whole thing through and i felt it was a pretty good match. You are right about the Ejiro and Johnny not really having much of a dispute for a hardcore match per say, i felt the same way when writting mine.

Your ending was pretty cool too, choked me out. :( I know you didn't like my finish, but i did it that way to sort of put Ejiro over Johnny. Ejiro had Johnny beaten and was inches away from winning until he got screwed. It kind of makes one question Johnny's little undefeated deal. Plus my guy is supose to be pretending to be a wrestler, while yours has trained for a good deal of time. Johnny should of got his ass pulverized but i can't have me loosing all the time, now can i? ;)

Anyways it was a good match, a very good one.

Quiet Thugg.

I don't see why you and Johnny would be put in a hardcore match, when you two seem like better pure wrestlers, the hardcore aspect seemed to drag the match quality down.
