Guest Choken One Report post Posted September 28, 2002 It's really all just a question of timing... We can't forsee injuries, Deaths, retirements because we're human. We can only speculate. If they were to move WMXIX to this month... Right now...WWE has no MAJOR MAINSTREAM draw like Rock or Austin. Hogan is over. Flair was a bust...RVD ought to be. So here what's they have to do...Remember WMXII....Take your two best wrestlers and throw them together...create a simple "I want that title...I hate him" storyline (It does not have to be Raven-Dreamer but it can't be Jericho-Kane). So who are those guys? Kurt Angle as Hart and Rob Van Dam as Shawn. You got your best Heel and your Best Face and they are also fresh Main eventers (in the grand scheme of things). Going by that measure... The other title match will have to be your Super Draw between eastablish superstars...which points to Rock Vs Triple H. They have a built in history...They never faced at WM. Then you can have your other even matches... Undertaker can go 11-0 by beatingBrock in Undefeated Vs Unpinned match. Chris Beniot Vs Edge Chris Jericho Vs Rey Mysterio Eddy Vs Kane Rosie and Jamal Vs Dudleyz (real ones) and more...
Guest Pop Culture God Report post Posted September 28, 2002 RVD vs. Angle is good. If WM was next month, then the ME would be Brock RETIRING Taker and turning de facto face 'ala Sid. Taker is going out at WM.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted September 29, 2002 Someone explain how Brock vs. Goldberg is supposed to outdraw something like Rock vs. Austin. Because they are bald and look alike?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted September 29, 2002 Anything with Goldberg can get a One time Big Draw, Ala Hogan. However, Brock would not be the best guy...Rock-Goldberg would be good or Austin-Goldberg since they are Great friends.... However, WWE really only has Three unused MEGA main events left for WMXIX... Austin-Hogan Rock-HHH Goldberg-Austin/Rock and maybe... Hogan/McMahon... However, It could be good exposure for Brock if they put him over Goldberg but to sign Goldberg for a likely multimillon deal just to job to your lowest paid player is just Ironicly sad. Guest shez316 Report post Posted September 29, 2002 "Yeah, that hot crowd on Sunday was really just me with a megaphone making fake crowd noises" Anglesault Come on, the crowd was dead at the start. They only got going because of Benoit and Angle's unbelievable efforts. Compare this to Rock-Hogan, where the crowd marked out the moment their themes hit. Benoit Vs Angle couldn't do a Wrestlemania Main Event justice for the marks! How about: Vince and HBK Vs Hogan and Bret Hart. special guest referee - Foley I know the match would suck but imagine the buyrate$$$
Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted September 29, 2002 If Brock is in the main event, that's the night to pull off his shooting star press. I think I heard something about him using that move, but I've yet to see it in the WWE. The right time and place for that is definitely Wrestlemania XIX. Guest Brian Report post Posted September 29, 2002 What buyrates? Hart, Vince, and HBK were never draws, and Hogan's been milked out of every last buy. So what if the crowd didn't get into the match immediately. That's a good sign. It means that they can learn how to appreciate that kind of wrestling. If you have to re-educate the whole fanbase, that proves it can be done.

His added size may make it harder.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted September 29, 2002 added size? he looks the same to me I saw (heel)Rock vs. Edge, Rvd vs. Undertaker at WM but thats just me I heard he looks bigger than OVW, and there has to be some reason why he has no stamina.
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted September 30, 2002 Nah, Brock was almost the same size at OVW. I saw him do a dark match almost a year before he debuted and he was the same huge size. Niko
Guest The Son of Sting Report post Posted September 30, 2002 Austin-Hogan Austin-Brock Austin-Benoit Austin-Goldberg Brock-Angle Brock-Goldberg (ducks flying objects) Are all matches that could main event WM.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2002 Angle has great super babyface potential but I'd rather see RVD vs. Brock for the title. They had a great series of bouts this summer with no clear winner before Brock won the title so there's already a foundation to the rivalry. However, I'd expect Rock to have some sort of main event spot. Maybe Rock vs. a belt-less Brock with RVD vs. Triple H for the Raw world title and Benoit vs. Angle for the Smackdown! world title.
