Why does everyone want Awesome in the TNA? The guy did DICK ALL in the WWE. Did anyone actually watch his matches on Jakked/Velocity? They are fucking pitiful. He was practically tripping over himself. All he did were springboard moves. Why does everyone think the TNA will use their guys *that* much better? The only guys the WWE may regret releasing are Lynn and Killings, and that may even be a stretch.

 

My point? If Awesome goes to the TNA, you will all be forced to see how badly he has degenerated into a useless hack.

I too am an Awesome mark, so I have to ask, did he really just lose it? I don't get Velocidential or whatever the hell it is, so I haven't seen him wrestle in god knows when.

 

Maybe NWA will let him stomp the life out of X Pac. that would be funny.

Awesome could be good in NWA. There are no restrictions on style, and if he's motivated (pretty big if) then perhaps he could get a fanbase for himself.

Mostly b/c there's actually room to move up there unlike the WWE where he was doomed to be a Velocity guy forever.

I think it's funny that guys like Morrus, Awesome, Chavo, Booker T and Storm were all moving up the card in WCW then come to WWF and find themselves back where they started.

Venis has talent, the problem is he's been doing nothing for so long he's been forgotten, and the porn star gimmick that got him over was toned down due to the PTC's campaign against the WWE. And he's not gone anywhere since.

 

However, he's an excellent bumper and seller--despite the gimmicky DDT-oversell he has. A pretty impressive moveset when he cuts loose as well. However, he's pretty much secondary show fodder now--odd that he and Edge were so hyped when coming in, and look at where Edge is now vs. Venis.

I really think Venis would work in the UnAmericans with his Political Intelligence...But he'd need to become Sean Morely or something more respectable and promotable like Sean Morris.

 

I really think Awesome is best suited for Japan where he can be HUGE again against the likes of Tanaka and others.

I think people say that because of events exactly like those that happened to Juventud. "Work our style OUR ELSE." Not everyone can, not everyone has the ability to adapt or work it in.
