Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted September 30, 2002 All right, considering that the two teams most loved on this board are about to throw down, I figured I'd make a thread for all the trash-talking that WILL happen. I also propose some kind of wager, but I don't know what the stipulations would be. Bears are favored to win in Vegas by the Las Vegas Legally Dumb, Deaf, and Blind Empowerment Organization. Guest razazteca Report post Posted September 30, 2002 Da Bears will win because they have a better Defense and Mike Brown & Brian Urlacher are unstoppable.
Guest packwingfn Report post Posted October 1, 2002 If their so unstoppable, then how did Drew Bledsoe and the Bills win this past week in OT?
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I figure the Packers will win. Probably be a high scoring close game too.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 1, 2002 The Bills showed how to take Urlacher out of the equation this week. IF Bledsoe can exploit the week Bears secondary...Favre certainly can too.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 1, 2002 then how did Drew Bledsoe and the Bills win this past week in OT too many variables in the equation divisional games are more important and the Bears will not make mistakes that lose the game.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Not can, will. I'm waiting for some Bears fans to come forward and think of some terms for a wager, some kind of denigrating thing to do on here should the team you bet on lose. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I wouldn't pick the Bears. Lost to the Bills (who lost to the freaking Jets and are the most exciting team...as well as most undisciplined, careless and unpredictable), Blew a 20 point lead to the Saints and barely escaped with victories over two blah teams. Washington being out hurts them so much. Just ask Urlacher as he got run over all week. Plus...if the Bills pourous run D can stop the A train...the Pack will. It sucks that I'm pretty sure the Pack is gonna win. The Bears' secondary is shit with the injuries they have. Chicago's offense is not good enough to make up for that, unless they get bunches of turnovers. Bah, I so wanted to make Spoony do something degrading. Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted October 1, 2002 The Bears are beat to hell, but they'll still smoke the packers.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Tsk tsk, so sure of yourselves, but no ideas for a wager? Fine, I'll tell you what I'll do if Smokey the Bear wins. I'll pick against the Packers and put up a Bears signature, avatar, and subtitle every weekend until they play each other again, at which point the terms will be restructured. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted October 2, 2002 Go Packers Go!!!!! I'd be willing to make a wager with any moron, I mean Bears fan. The Pack will attack!!! Favre is God
Guest El Hijo Del Lunatic Report post Posted October 2, 2002 Problem is, the Bears fans might be reasonably rational. The Bills showed how to take Urlacher out of the equation this week. 12 tackles, 10 of them solo last week. The Bills didn't take out Urlacher, they took advantage of the absence of Washington. And even then the rushing stats weren't anything ATROCIOUS (probably about 4.0 a carry). I'm not a Bears fan, but I did watch the Bills/Bears game on Sunday (flipping back-and-forth to the Packers game). I thought the game was very good, hard-fought, and well-played. There weren't many turnovers or mistakes (that one fumble by Henry, and that was just damn good defense). Does it worry any of the Packers fans that they did not look that great (from what I saw) against a Panther team no one thought was for real? I mean, the Packers were a 24-yard field goal away from going into overtime themselves. Favre didn't exactly look fantastic on Sunday, either. So are we all just going to ignore that? I mean, I'm not saying the Bears looked great last week (well, not until they opened the offense up a little and threw downfield), but the Packers haven't looked terribly spectacular either. If the Bears were getting a couple instead of giving, I'd think about taking the wager, just to prove PARITY OWNZ~! LUNATIC - Pimpin' ho's and clockin' a grip like my name was Dolemite. Guest Leena Report post Posted October 2, 2002 Urlacher was made to look foolish on many pass plays though.

Henry as laid it on the carpet every game this year...the last 2 for TDs. Take away that 7 for turnovers, and the drive that had not one...but 2 first downs by penalties and you take 14 points off the board if the Bills had any discipline. ANY. The Packers have far more discipline than the Bills.
Guest packwingfn Report post Posted October 2, 2002 The thing that would kill the Packers would be Penalties, Need to cut down on Penalties, lets hope Sherman lay down the law this week in practice!! Another Key, Its in Lambeau, not an automatic anymore but Im sure it'll be cold and you know Brett and its cold and plus GB would just LOVE to have a 2 game advantage ova Chicago right now GO PACK GO! Guest El Hijo Del Lunatic Report post Posted October 2, 2002 Urlacher was made to look foolish on many pass plays though. Eh. Just really the touchdown pass to Moore. There's nothing else I can think of that he looked bad on. Great play-fake, though. Fooled the Bears and every cameraman in the stadium. It wasn't good D. Henry as laid it on the carpet every game this year...the last 2 for TDs. That's great. We all know Henry's affinity for putting the ball on the ground, but that WAS damn good defense. Henry didn't drop that ball - Holdman (I believe) ripped it out with his hands. It's not like he took a glancing hit and dropped the ball on the turf. There wasn't anything he could've done about that one. The Packers have far more discipline than the Bills. The Bills last week: Nine penalties for 82 yards and three first downs. The Packers last week: Ten penalties for 83 yards and four first downs. Another Key, Its in Lambeau ... It's actually in Champaign on Monday. That's probably why the Bears are favored. And what about the Pack's performance Sunday? LUNATIC - Pimpin' ho's and clockin' a grip like my name was Dolemite.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted October 2, 2002 Packwing-whateverdude, turn in your badge for not even knowing where the game was, plus thinking that it's cold enough for the Packer Cold Advantage in THE FIRST WEEKEND OF OCTOBER. Hijo, I'm not saying the Pack is spectacular(I like to THINK they are, even if they aren't), but they'll beat the Bears. PLUS - even though the line is only 2 points, this is NOT based on the line that the bookies give. This is pure win/loss. Where are the Bears fans with their stipulations? Guest Cancer Marney Report post Posted October 3, 2002 If you don't care about the wager, it isn't worth anything. You wanted it to be something degrading, why back out now? Will it be the Bears or the Packers? One or the other? Which is it going to be, lad? Step up and throw down.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted October 3, 2002 The battle lines have been drawn. I will put "Forgive me Saint Favre" in my custom title until the pack's next loss, if somehow the planets get into an infernal alignment and the bears marginally lose the game on a technicality. Kotz, when the pack loses, you have to put "George Halas' bitch" in yours until the Bears win the superbowl
