The Onion is one of the funniest sites on the internet and one of my favorite sites to visit on a weekly basis when its updated. But it is blatantly obvious (to me at least) that the news is not real. How could someone mistakenly think that it is???HOW??

 

This article isn't the first time I've heard of someone mistaking The Onion for a real news source.

In China, it was the Beijing Evening News that reported on Congress's "threat," and when told the source was a satire, the editors said, "We would first have to check that out. If it's indeed fake, I'm sure there will be some form of correction." Way to dig yourself in deeper, guys.

Either way I thought it was *SO* classy that some poster turned an angry female post into a PMS joke. If it was intentional, then maybe it's bearable, but I've heard so many similar jokes that were meant to be serious, that I have my doubts.
