Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted October 3, 2002 But Smackdown & Monday Night RAW moves do?
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted October 3, 2002 I didn't say that. I've seen the Vertebreaker a few times and I just didn't go: OMG!!!!!!! To me it was just another move
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted October 3, 2002 It's a neat move, but I don't see why everyone's screaming for it to come back.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted October 3, 2002 Because it's better than a cruiser using a *chokeslam* as a finisher
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted October 3, 2002 It's far more credible than a choke slam, but the Hurricane character isn't exactly the most feared on the planet, so it wouldn't fit anyway. As far as the move goes, it's one of the last "instant death" moves left in wrestling, what with Mutoh no-selling Ganso Bombs and indy guys all over using the Burning Hammer as a transition. That's specifically why it will *not* be used in the WWE.

Guest bob_barron Report post Posted October 4, 2002 Hmmm- The Houston Hangover at Vengeance this year. The Crippler Crossface when I saw it- i just looked so cool. Given time I could probably think of more. I just think the Vertebreaker is an overrated move- everyone seems to think it is the greatest move ever.

The Vertebreaker did not
Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted October 4, 2002 ..but a "Houston Hangover" did. Great. Well, this conversation is over.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted October 4, 2002 Hey wow- this conversation is over cause I don't mark out for a move?? Umm ok. I marked out for the Houston Hangover because it was the first time I had seen the move in a looong time and I was happy Booker T won. Okay?? The Vertebreaker is a cool move, like I've said 6 million times, I just don't mark out for it and think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted October 4, 2002 It's not the greatest ever, just the most dangerous. And good God, can we have a discussion without diverting to "which move is better" for once? Not that this thread made any sense to begin with.
Guest mw679 Report post Posted October 4, 2002 Damn, one move causes everybody to have a coronary. If I knew that, I wouldn't have mentioned it. Anyway, how does this thread not make sense? Just starting some conversation and it seemed to do the job. C'mon, a WWE PPV wouldn't be cool coming from Japan? I think it would be. It would be something different then what we're getting now...everyone's always looking for a change in the product.
