What happened to Street Fighter?

I've read somewhere that there are Samurai Shodown backgrounds in KoF 2000. So I suppose they take place on the same world, only a few hundred years apart.

 

Speaking of SamSho, anyone know if Playmore has announced plans to make a new installment (Samurai Shodown 5) ??

Well there're are carrying on with KoF, so if the demand is high, they'll bring it back.

 

How come there arent any KoF games out for the GC/PS2/X-Box? I mean they make a KoF game for the GBA, but yet they don't release ports of KoF 01 and 02.

Supposedly Metal Slug 3 and KoF 2001 will be coming to PS2. I also read that Playmore is still releasing stuff for the Neo-Geo. What the hell? Why keep supporting a system that probably has less users than the Dreamcast?
