Your Favorite Ladder Match?

Ok, a lot of you may say the HBK/Razor Ladder match is the best Ladder Match of All-Time, but is it technically YOUR favorite? In whatever case, I've made a list of 10 Ladder Matches over the last 10 years years so everyone can pick their FAVORITE match. Include why you picked that match, and why its your favorite. the build up to it, the spots, the meaning of the match, etc. If I didnt include a match there that you like to call your favorite, please include it and tell why you picked that one.

Well, Shawn Vs. Razor at WMX is my favourite match of all time, so it would defintely qualify as my favourite ladder match. But, saying that, my second favourite and I think second best of all time would easily be E and C vs. The Hardyz from No Mercy 99 and it's not even on your list. You gotta include that.

 

And was Shawn vs. Razor from Summer Slam on it? I can't remember. If not, it should.

Well, I only had 10 slots to fill in and I picked the best ones possible, with some variety. I admit, I did pass over the original T.I.T Ladder Match with the Hardys and E+C, but I DID include the Triangle Ladder Match from WM2000, so there's everyone's Hardy fix. I didn't include Shawn/Razor 2 because obviously I had their first match from Wrestlemania X there, even though their Summerlsam match was awesome, I passed up on it. Basically, you can see what ones I put in there for variety, and thats why I didnt include some of the others people may come up with.

I voted for Eddy Vs. RVD. It was just so crazy and fun to watch.. Even with/especially with the fan run-in. My second choice is Benoit/Jericho, though.

 

HBK/Razor, while it was definitely a classic and all-around great, just doesn't rank so high with me. Dunno why...

 

I haven't seen a lot of those matches, as a side note.

never really liked the WCW ladder matches, the Eddy vs Syxx match suffered from bad camera work

Here's a match I will pimp until I die: AJ Styles vs. JC Dazz vs. Jason Cross vs. Jimmy Rave from NWA Wildside Fright Night 2001. It's better than the TLC matches, and, I may get heat for this, but it may be up there with the HBK-Razor match from WM 10. The psychology to the match not only brought a whole new dimension to the match, but it got the Wildside Jr. Heavyweight Title over pretty damn well.

3 Count/Jung Dragons/K+K from Starrcade would probably be my favourite at this moment in time, just ahead of Benoit/Jericho RR '01. Those 6 men were one of the few reasons i kept watching WCW at the end of it's life.

 

However my choice will probably change once i watch some of the other ladder matches again, i haven't seen some of them in quite a while.

Benoit/Jericho would be my favorite if the Eddy/RVD one wasn't free.

 

I give it a special mark for being on where everyone could see it.

 

Plus...the match was out of hand, and that made it fun.

I would vote for the ladder rematch RVD v. Eddy had it.

 

It was 20 minutes of all action and unlike on RAW- they didn't fuck anything up.

 

Plus Flair and Benoit ran in and even though you knew RVD was gonna win- I was on the edge of my seat going crazy. And he did the same pose on the ladder with the belts that Razor did at WMX.

 

I gained a lot of respect for RVD and Eddy- they were willing to go out there and kill each other in front of a tiny crowd of people.

RVD vs. Guerrero has to be my favorite Ladder match so far. I was on the edge of my seat pretty much the entire match. Benoit vs. Jericho from the Royal Rumble 2001 would be second on my list, and third would be the Hardy Boyz vs. the Dudley Boyz vs. Edge & Christian from Wrestlemania 16.

I havent seen too many of those but I have to say I like the ladder match on the first TNN Raw show. It was pretty good. Just because it was on Raw.

I think within the next year they should come out with a ladder match DVD, including all of the TLC's, WM2000, WM X, Summerslam 95, Edge vs. Christian, Benoit vs. Jericho, etc.

Ahh, Edge/Christian vs the Hardyz. I was there live, and it was kickass. Especially when Edge speared Jeff in midair while Jeff was hanging from the belts.

Singles ladder - RVD/Eddy, though it'll be different if you ask me in about ten minutes. No real preference here.

 

Tag team ladder - Hardys/E&C, from No Mercy 1999: "the birth of four superstars", as Foley and Mattitude aptly entitled it. That match is still inspiring to watch.

I had to pick the TLC from Wrestlemania 2000. My all time favorite is HBK vs. Ramon from Summerslam 95 but only because I was there in person!!! The TLC match was the best on the list to me though. This was the first time the WWE tried to put something this original on a Wrestlemania since probably Wrestlemania X where they had HBK vs. Ramon. There are a lot of great ladder matches in the history of the sport but I think this one takes the cake
