Guest Kinetic Report post Posted October 6, 2002 That was definitely one of the more entertaining football games I've ever seen. The real kicker for Arkansas is that they had TWO opportunities to win the game--on the field goal in the third overtime and the two-point conversion later on--and failed both times. Either way, it was obviously a hard-fought win for the Vols. Which is more than I can say for the sorry ass performance Rex Grossman and the Gators gave today, but to say any more would send me into fits of rage. Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted October 6, 2002 Trust me, my heart is just now resuming a normal pulse. I'm surprised I haven't gotten any angry phone calls from neighbors about opening all the windows of the house and BLASTING "Rocky Top" when Witten caught that final touchdown. Even my friend who came over to help me get my car started was caught up in it, and he isn't even a football fan. And now that I know how LOUD Neyland can get, I can only imagine how my ears would be ringing if I were there this week. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted October 6, 2002 I turned it on in the fourth overtime, and I had the urge to turn it up when they played Rocky Top. And I'm not a Vols fan. BTW, Rocky Top is one of the better fight songs in college football.
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2002 I can safely say that game was one of the best, if not THE best I've seen so far this year. Went from a 14 point Vols lead into a 6 OT marathon. Very entertaining game overall. Did anybody see that final pass play which won the Vols the game coming?
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted October 6, 2002 Being a Vols fan and HUGE mark for Witten, I knew he was the only gamebuster dude they hadn't tried yet, and I knew it had to be a pass play, because neither side was conceding anything with their run defenses. Anyone know what happened to the Arkansas running back? He only looked good because all the defenders were getting so damn tired, but I don't like to see someone with promise like him get hurt. Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2002 I suppose you could just tell that some sort of pass play was gonna determine the whole thing. I just didn't know what type of pass play. Was still a good one though.
