Guest razazteca Posted October 7, 2002 Report Posted October 7, 2002 wow look at that 3 of the top spenders have losing records Cowboys, Jets, Steelers
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted October 7, 2002 Report Posted October 7, 2002 The Rooneys are third from the top?! Damn... And they have such things as reporting bonuses, roster bonuses and workout bonuses??? You get paid for showing up -- wish my job did that for me...
Guest jimmy no nose Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 The Rooneys are third from the top?! Damn... Yeah, in the past they had been fairly low and in the middle more recently, but when Heinz Field opened they promised to put all the extra income back into the team, plus they decided to keep last years team together as best they could, so they spent big money. How did the Texans spend so much already?
Guest El Satanico Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 Texans took a bunch of high priced guys in the expansion draft.
Guest Leena Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 I guess my teams would be the Steelers and Eagles. I didn't think the Steelers were so high.
Guest Sassquatch Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 "Raiders $70,019,642" It has all been worth it so far. "Packers $42,404,395" As long as Brett is on the team with some good receivers and a good line, everything will be all right.
Guest bravesfan Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 Texans took a bunch of high priced guys in the expansion draft. Didn't Carr get a huge signing bonus also?
Guest Vern Gagne Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 The Vikings are the local team even though don't like them. Not suprising they have a low payroll..every team in this market does.
Guest ant_7000 Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 Im suprised that the Redskins isn't on top of the list.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 "Yeah, in the past they had been fairly low and in the middle more recently, but when Heinz Field opened they promised to put all the extra income back into the team, plus they decided to keep last years team together as best they could, so they spent big money." An owner that keeps his promise. I can't wait to see if Mr. Linder of the Reds will up the payroll now that his upcoming stadium will debut next year... (hahahahaha)
Guest redbaron51 Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 Seahawks $57,157,459 somehow surprisingly high
Agent_Bond34 Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 49ers $75,119,964 I dunno what to say about that, but, they're 3-1 and just whipped the Rams on Sunday and sent them to 0-5. So, with that said, all is right in the world.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 As long as Brett is on the team with some good receivers and a good line, everything will be all right. I think if Farve ever had good recievers, the league would have to intervene, start taking the Pack's draft picks or something. Anyway, did you guys notice that the teams seem to get worse as you go up the list? hee hee. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!
Guest El Satanico Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 Well Favre has pretty much always had at least one good WR every year and it helps that Favre makes his WRs better. This year he has two good WRs and a decent rookie who's improving.
