Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted October 8, 2002 The king of all jobbers. Yet, if you look at it Barry had one of the most subtle and longest running storylines in WWF history. He lost every single match he ever had and everyone knew that he was just a jobber. Then he pulls off the upset victory over Chris Candido (Skip the Bodydonna at that time) and it got one of the loudest pops I've ever heard. Barry then got a brief push in the super underdog role and I think he had the skill and likability to be a midcarder, but his best days were behind him by that point. And who can forget him patting himself on the back for a good move. Priceless stuff and always drew heat.
Guest kingkamala Report post Posted October 8, 2002 I saw Horowitz carry Konnan to a decent match on a WCW Saturday Night in summer of 99. Horowitz when he was in WCW actually worked really well with the cruisers don't know why though.

Guest MillenniumMan831 Report post Posted October 9, 2002 His ring jacket w/ the big hand on the back always got a chuckle out of me. It was a big bummer that his push was limited to countless victories over Skip. Well, at least SOMEONE put him over.
Guest Slingshot Suplex Report post Posted October 9, 2002 The promo he does when they show him his first t-shirt after his Summer Slam win was pretty funny. And he was a decent wrestler. Wrestling under the name of Jack Hart in Florida sometime around 1985....I understand he had the losing streak there and they would put up a graphic saying how many consecutive matches he had lost. It got to something reverse Goldbergian like 0-125. He joined up with Percy Pringle who supplied him with "the loaded black glove" and he went on a mini winning streak and actually won the Florida heavyweight title in a tournament after Hercules Hernandez bolted to the WWF. And I think Rick Rude won the vacated Southern title, which Hernandez also held and vacated.
Guest BAR Report post Posted October 9, 2002 I thought the patting his back thing was kinda funny, that's about it.
Guest Jericholic82 Report post Posted October 9, 2002 do you remember him in Global (GWF). He finally wona match by countout (i think) and made a big deal out of it. He became a midcard heel from then and called himself "the winner" (i think) it was a pretty good angle actually. but i remember his win over skip vividly. On a sunday afternoon, i was watching challenege and saw skip being announced against barry , and I was like here we go, another squash (well not like that cuz I was still a mark then,b ut even marks realize what squashes are), barry got someoffense in and i kinda was like hey cool, he finally fought back, then skip goes for some pushups and barry rolls him up for the three, and I marked out. It made my day actually, cuz I always hated Candido for some reason.
EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2002 My brother and I had ordered SS that year for the Michaels/Ramon rematch. However, in the back of my mind, I KNEW that it was the chance to see Barry go over on PPV against Skip that drew me to the match. It was SO great when they had the t-shirt. In fact, if anybody has one, i would SO take it from them if they didn't want it anymore.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 9, 2002 I remember some rumors about Barry when he 1st showed up in WCW. Something like Barry to become TV champ on his arrival which got alot of people angry.
Guest papacita Report post Posted October 16, 2002 I liked Barry. I remember the day he beat Skip...I had just got my own VCR, so I was videotaping everything(even the jobber matches). I was trying to make a tape with at least one match from every wrestler in the WWF. The first match on the tape was the Skip/Horowitz match...I was just taping to get Skip, but when Horowitz beat him, I was just in shock. I liked Horowitz's moveset too. I wish they had pushed him further than they did.
Guest DragonflyKid Report post Posted October 16, 2002 As far as jobbers go he was no Dusty Wolfe or Iron Mike, I admit to having been a Dusty Wolfe mark and read in the PWI 500 that he still wrestles. Barry at least had a semblance of a gimmick with the pat-his-own-back thing and his vest. I remember watching SuperStars and Challenge as a markish kid and thinking a match like Koko B'Ware vs. Steve Lombardi was nothing special, but when they announced that next week Koko B'Ware would face the Brooklyn Brawler I was pumped(I bought into all the gimmicks.). Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted October 16, 2002 He's a legend. An Icon. The very foundation of this business. No one had better matches. Simply put, the best wrestler to never win a world title from the big two. He's more man than you and...well, just you. He's God folks. God. Okay, I'm stretching there, but his character in mid-95 was enjoyable. Pretty much all I have to say.
