if you have the Final Fire Pro Wrestling ROM...

If any of you have the Final Fire Pro Wrestling (Japan) rom for Game Boy Advance that Venom released (probably the only rom out there) and you haven't hex edited it to fix the American wrestlers' costumes (to change, say, Undertaker's orange/green outfit to his "real" one), try this patch that I created with TPE.

Run the exe file, then click on "Apply Patch". It probably won't find your rom file, so you'll have to manually browse to it. Make sure "Create Backup" is checked. Once it's done, fire up your GBA emulator and try to start a match. Hulk Hogan should now have yellow tights and blond facial hair instead of black tights & black hair, and everyone else should look "right" now.

Also, if you're using Visual Boy Advance, I included my .sav file which contains every hidden wrestler unlocked, and most of the wrestlers renamed to their "real" names. You'll have to rename your rom file to 504 - Final Fire Pro Wrestling (J).gba.

I'll do one for the U.S. version once I have some time.

(and thanks to the dudes on the FPW2 Gamefaqs board for starting me on this whole hex editing thing)

Glad to hear that it works. By the end of the weekend, I should have one for Fire Pro Wrestling 2, as well as a .sav file with everyone renamed.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any way of transferring this info to a real GBA. There probably isn't a way, sorry. You'll have to either unlock everyone via MOR mode, or enter the Japanese cheat code yourself (which is a total pain in the ass if you don't know Japanese...but it's doable if you have about half an hour to kill). And there's no way of changing the wrestlers' colors short of creating all-new CAWs. My program is just for the ROM dump.

Here's a prettier version of the same file as above. If you already downloaded & ran it, you don't need this one...I just wanted to make the interface nicer
