Guest areacode212 Report post Posted October 13, 2002 Brock vs. Lita! OK, same deal as with Final Fire Pro Wrestling. Since the game was released very recently, few of you probably have the ROM right now. But once you download it, run this patch. This patch fixes the colors of the American wrestlers in the ROM, so you don't have to guess who JUNK BASTARD is supposed to be (Shane McMahon). The easiest way to run it is to rename your rom to 0641 - Fire Pro Wrestling 2 (U).gba, then unzip the patch to the folder where the rom is located, and click on "Apply Patch". If it doesn't detect it automatically, select "All Files", and just select your rom. In the zip file, I'm also including my Visual Boy Advance .sav file, which contains all 200 wrestlers unlocked and renamed to their real names. For most of the puro wrestlers, I kept the game's made-up "nicknames" since I'm not familiar enough with them to come up with original ones. But all their real names are in (thanks to Frank Provo's Unlock/Rename FAQ). Again, rename your rom to 0641 - Fire Pro Wrestling 2 (U).gba to get this to work. Also, I didn't rename RAT TIGHTS and MASK BOY to Batman & Robin because I find their fake names hilarious. Thanks to croc at the GameFAQs forum for providing offset & color info. Guest Kingpk Report post Posted October 13, 2002 Where can I find said ROM?
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted October 13, 2002 Supposedly you can find it on WinMX. I get all of my Game Boy Advance roms off IRC. You'll need an IRC client--download mIRC. My favorite server for roms is irc.euirc.net (join the #roms channel). Also, #roms on DALnet usually has some pretty good fserves.

Guest areacode212 Report post Posted October 16, 2002 kingkamala: a) Download the rom from Dace59's Geocities site. b) Download Visual Boy Advance (version 0.9 seems to work the best with it, sound-wise, but it may be dependent on your system) c) Unzip the rom and rename it to "0641 - Fire Pro Wrestling 2 (U).gba" d) Download my patch & savegame file above, and unzip into the same directory as the rom. Run the patch, and enjoy! BTW, the game has Giant Kimala, so I know you'll like it.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 16, 2002 Visual Boy 1.1 is out the game is hard with all of the timing needed to do moves in typical Fire Pro way
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted October 16, 2002 The timing is weird. Most of the time, I can get moves off 90% of the time on the hardest difficulty setting. But there are days when I'm completely off, and I can't do a simple bodyslam, even on the easiest setting. Anyway, if anyone has trouble with the timing, try playing Training Mode, or post here, and we'll help you out.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 16, 2002 I was able to do the Angle Ankle Lock but the Rock was on the ropes!!! I lost in 9:01 I used the move too early and after 3 Rock Bottoms and the Peoples Taunt I lost.
Guest mach7 Report post Posted October 16, 2002 I'm having an issue here, and I had this problem with my rom of Fire Pro Wrestling 1 (GBA) as well: sometimes pins or submissions won't work! The ref doesn't pop up, there's no three count. Nothing. All of my match rules are set at default. This happens 50% of the time, and the match never ends so I have to reset the emulation. Anyone have this problem too? I'm using the BoycottAdvance Emulator because Visual Boy doesn't work on my version of NT at work [yes I am a slacker! ;p].. could this be the reason [the emulator I'm using?]

I'm using the BoycottAdvance Emulator because Visual Boy doesn't work on my version of NT at work [yes I am a slacker! ;p].. could this be the reason [the emulator I'm using?] Neither of the Fire Pro games works properly with BoyCott Advance. The ref doesn't appear. Which sucks, because I can't get diagonal directional control in VisualBoy Advance for some reason. meaning if I go out of the ring, I can't get back in. Rats. Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 17, 2002 the names given to the wrestlers are funny: SK favorite Sara's Husband Versian #1 Rat Kuma it would of been cool if Dr Wagner's mask was blue & white or mexican flag colors or if Dr Wagner had the siglet to match the mask then I would mark out and have a heart attack. Guest areacode212 Report post Posted October 17, 2002 Yeah, I didn't really want to give Undertaker "American Badass" or "Big Evil" or whatever, since he really doesn't seem so badass when he's on TV going "I didn't sleep with her! You gotta believe me, honey!". "Sara's Hubby" seemed to fit his current gimmick the best. BIG BEAR was the original game for that bear character. I changed it to Kuma because I had just come from playing Tekken.
Guest kingkamala Report post Posted October 17, 2002 Has anybody noticed that if you're are HBK and you press a+b+Down is a Styles Clash, which is AWESOME
Guest Dace59 Report post Posted October 17, 2002 It's not a Style Clash, it's a Facebuster (pick up for piledriver, fall forward, one of Tanzen's moves)
