Mallrats Is On USA Now!

It's edited to the point of embarrassment at some point, but it still rocks. Thanks for the heads up. I'm watching it now.

It's just as funny with all the edits...they don't just edit a word...they have someone redub an entire sentence...it's done so poorly it's great...you'd think ABC could have done better.

The guy who did Jay's voice is so awful he cracks me up

JAY: "All it took was a fat chronic blunt"

DUB: "All it took was a fast karate punch"

And the stuff they leave out makes little sense...when they put in footage that was cut from the movie that was more graphic...like Lafours and Trish practically screwing.

So it's been on ABC, FX, and USA like this.

You know I see this and I wonder,

Why the hell is Jason Lee making Bombs with Tom Green ?

Who did the voice on that?

I try to never watch movies on tv because of the butchery that takes place. The only movies i will watch on non pay TV are horror movies because they are hard to find on pay cable.

However the way the actually dub lines instead of bleeping is funny as hell. I mean honestly WHY would they waste the energy to dub lines when bleeping is easier and takes less away from the movie.

A classic dubbed in line comes from the television edited Smokey & The Bandit.

"You scum bum!"

Friday movie on USA is probably the most butchered movie ever.

You got knocked the heck out................MAN

Showcase rules when it comes to television broadcasts of movies. They've shown Hard Boiled (in widescreen), had a Quentin Tarantino weekend movie marathon and many more I can't remember. And all the movies are uncut.

JAY: "All it took was a fat chronic blunt"

DUB: "All it took was a fast karate punch"

I remember seeing Rush Hour on TBS and Jackie and Tucker were arguing over who's more "full of it".

Nothing.....and I mean NOTHING comes close to Scarface in terms of editing.

Montana: "This town is like one great big pussy, waiting to get fucked"

Dub: "This town is like one great big chicken, waiting to get plucked"

Cop: "How'd you get a scar like that, tough guy, eating pussy?"

Montana: "How're you gonna get a scar like that eating pussy?"

Dub Cop:"How'd you get a scar like that, touch guy, eating Pineapple?"

Montana Dub: "How're you gonna get a scar like that eating Pineapple?"

Pulp Fiction got the most severe edit job I've ever seen.

Vincent: "You're gonna go home, and jerk off."

Edited Vincent: "You're gonna go home, and cool off."

(But he still did the jerk-jerk hand motion, leaving no doubt as to what he was talking about.)

That sounds even funnier that way...

With Mallrats when they talk to Trish...

They replaced the thing about her having sex with the guys to her talking to guys about sex...don't know it word for word...but came off bad...so some of the stuff Brody and TS said afterwords sounded stupid

Speaking of the dude who plays TS (Jeremy London), I caught a movie over the weekend called My Teacher's Wife with what appeared to feature him as the lead character. It wasn't until I did a search on imdb.com that I realized it wasn't Jeremy London in the film, but HIS EVIL TWIN BROTHER: JASON LONDON~~~!!!!

So yeah, the guy who plays TS has a twin brother in real life who's also an actor. Bet most of you Kevin Smith obsessors knew that already, but in case you didn't...

American TV networks are stupid. Over here its ok to say/show anything after 9pm.

Jason London is also in the abortion that was Carrie 2: The Rage.

Jason London was also in Dazed and Confused. That led to people thinking Jeremy London was him and Mallrats was some kind of Dazed and Confused reunion.

Usually, but have you seen the ITV version of Robocop (always shown at least after 10pm)? "WHY ME? WHY ME? WHY ME?" Bloody awful I tell you.

I think any true Kevin Smith fan is trying to forget about Jeremy London...funny how the lead character is the most unlikeable in the bunch, and far and away the worst actor.

I think I only laughed once at him in the whole movie.

I agree, YNA. It seemed like he was reading off of his cue cards the entire time and had every scene stolen from him, whether it was Jason Lee, Mewes or even Claire Forlani. The one time he made me chuckle was when he put on a Clerks hat in the strip mall and put it back.

The only time he made me laugh is when they were walking back into the mall after leaving the flea market.

GUY: "Aren't you the guy that broke up with brandi svening?"

Then T.S. just backhands the hell out of him, a bitch slap, if you will...that was about his funniest moment.

The TS character didnt have many funny lines, he pretty much played the straight man to set up Brodie, so it's not London's fault that he didnt get many laughs, but it was his fault that he sucked at acting.

London's brother was in last years Out Cold, which is an entertaining, above average comedy IMO.

I almost saw Out Cold...but I thought "Ah, T.S. will just screw it up"

Not Jeremy you say...

I can't believe at least two people around this forum have actually SEEN Carrie 2.

I mean honestly what would make someone say "Yeah Carrie 2...that looks good i should go see that"

Do you honestly think I would take a Trip to The Movie Theatre and then pay $10 to see that ?

I saw it on Showtime........

If you think about it, Jeremy London almost ruined the movie Mallrats if it weren't for Jason Lee's outstanding performance.

No love for Jason Mewes ?

And The Kitties.......
