EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2002 Dear Mr. Orton, I like where your character is going. (see Rock, The) If successful...I don't know what will happen, because you need to actually wrestle first. Don't get stuck being HHH's bitch for too long, he's got too many, and you can be replaced. If at first you don't get over, don't try again.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted October 15, 2002 Kinda stupid, but anyway: Dr. Mr. Orton, I am saddened to hear about what happened to you, but I just want to offer you a word of advice: Don't 'play dead' around Kane. Don't even take a nap when he's in the general vicinity of your locker room. He might try to 'violate' you in some way (likely in the same way he did to poor Ms. Katie Fick). In closing, I wish you a speedy recovery from your current injury, and, if you follow my advice, I'm sure you'll be back in the ring in no time, kicking @$$ like never before. GO RANDY~! Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted October 15, 2002 Was I the only one who got kinda of a Kurt Angle vibe from Orton tonight. Not the Orton's in the same league, but just the way he cut is interview seemed like he was trying to copy Kurt Angle.

Guest notJames Report post Posted October 15, 2002 They're trying too hard with Orton's anti-babyface push. Like SKeith said, they should have let the fans dictate this instead of trying to manufacture it. It all seems so forced and contrived. The fact that he won't even be wrestling for three months means they're going to have to handle this very delicately. This is going to be a long three months... Guest evilhomer Report post Posted October 15, 2002 I thought it was a mix of Angle and the Rock when he was heel. I felt that vibe too. His persona was Angle-esque, and he referred to himself in the third person. This will definately be a long three months if they keep running those promos etc.
Guest Steve J. Rogers Report post Posted October 15, 2002 I just sent this to that address, well I thought the idea can work: Don't know if TPTB will agree to this but I say do vingetes where you get Roddy Piper to help your recovery, basically as an old family friend and an inspirational figure (hell look at all the surgries Piper has had over the years and he made several big comebacks) then when you return you, Piper and Bob come out (with you in a cast naturally) and then you deck both Piper and Bob with the aforementioned cast (Piper has garnered nothing but face heat for the last ten years, or it could be you and him turn on Bob, or Bob and you turn on Piper it would generate HUGE heel heat) sort of saying "I am BACK and I don't need YOU, I don't need the family heritage (unless Bob turns with you against Piper) and I sure the HELL DON'T NEED THE FANS WHO BOOED ME THE NIGHT I SAID I WAS GOING TO BE ON THE SHELF! SCREW ALL OF YOU!" Actually it'd be better if either Bob or Piper turned with you, as a classic heel manager is great for new up and comers, see how well Paul Heyman is doing for Brock Lesnar. Of course all this works if McMahon and Piper agree to do this, it could work with just Cowboy Bob though. But above all else, you should try to break your dad's record of the longest time wearing a cast since it was no longer needed. THAT would be a nice touch. Guest Pop Culture God Report post Posted October 15, 2002 Like it or not, Randy Orton's turn has been the subtlest in recent memorey. Let's say it began the first night he came to RAW, that would meant that they've been building on all this "blue-chipper" crap till now. And we didn't even think twice. We just thought he would bomb as a face. It was brilliant.
Guest Last Warrior Report post Posted October 15, 2002 He is garnering a lot of negativity but i can really see Randy Orton being a big star for the WWE in time. He really needs a haircut and I see him as being a cross between The Rock and Mr Perfect in his character. As well as a haircut, he needs a finisher but he moves well, he has a good look and seems to have good mic skills so in the current WWE, the sky could be the limit for him. Guest Pop Culture God Report post Posted October 15, 2002 Randy's character is like Kurt Angle meets Waylon Mercy in that like Angle, he's delusional, and like Mercy, he thinks everyone loves him where Angle has taken the hint.

Guest Smark Hammill Report post Posted October 15, 2002 I don't really understand the criticism toward this character. I think it's great. I love the "annoying babyface" heel. I know it's been done before, but it's still fresh, IMO.

I know it's been done before, but it's still fresh, IMO. Dude it is a good character. The problem is that Vince et al are trying so desperately to create Rock version 2.0 that it could hardly be any more transparent. Randy was well on his way to evolving into it that they didn't need to rush it.

Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted October 15, 2002 Randy's character is like Kurt Angle meets Waylon Mercy in that like Angle, he's delusional, and like Mercy, he thinks everyone loves him where Angle has taken the hint. But when Angle first started out, he did think everyone loved him. And I don't think Orton is like Angle at all, except that they are both white guys. Guest Steve J. Rogers Report post Posted October 15, 2002 Anyone before this ever send messages to various "Getwell...@wwf/wwe.com" addresses? If so, was there a reply? I.e. in the form of a standard form letter. Cause it'd be funny to see someone send a "Fuck you, I hope you NEVER COME BACK!" letter and get back an automated response like: "Thanks for your support, its letters like yours that will help my recovery be a speedy one, take care."
