Guest crusen86 Report post Posted October 15, 2002 SJL Crimson Card, Thursday October 17th Due Date: 3pm Thursday BT Send To: Suicide King Arena: The Melon Arena, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 5 MINUTE MATCH Logan vs. Ejiro Fasaki - Logan is yet to pick up his first win in the SJL. He will be looking to do so against Ejiro. Good luck. - Match Description: Something different. The match time limit is five minutes. In that time, anything goes. If the bell goes, the match is a draw. Obviously, write it how you feel is best. - Word Limit: 3500 - Send To Longdogger_Pete SINGLES MATCH Manson vs. Wildchild - Eh... I've probably missed something about Manson retiring, but here's hoping. Round one, fight. - Match Description: Standard match. - Word Limit: 3500 - Send To realitycheck TABLES MATCH Christian Fury vs. Johnny Dangerous - Heheheheh. This match is funny. Anyway, the newly returned Christian Fury's first opponent will be against the stealthy Johnny Dangerous. In a tables match, no less. - Match Description: Anything goes. To win, be putting your opponent through a table. Preferably flaming, but each to his own. - Word Limit: 4000 - Send To ErekT2k SINGLES MATCH Spike Jenkins vs. Jack The Ripper - Both men are coming off title match losses. Jack the European, Spike the World. What better thing to do then make them smash up each other. - Match Description: Standard match. - Word Limit: 4000 - Send To Tod*space*deKindes WORLD TITLE #1 CONTENDERSHIP MATCH Kamikaze v. Mike Van Siclen - Double no shows are a bitch. However, due to having a very unflexible roster these days, the sods involved are lucky enough to get a rematch - same rules apply. - Match Description: Kamikaze can get the World #1 Contendership simply by beating MVS. However, if Mike makes Kami tap, he becomes #1 Contender. Also, if Mike wins by any means besides submission, the match is ruled as a normal match and there is no number one contender. - Word Limit: 4500 - Send To TheBostonStrangler MAIN EVENT TRIPLE THREAT MATCH Judge Mental vs. Tim Dillon vs. Matt Myers - Arguably two of the hottest guys in the fed. Erm, as in, streak wise. Um. Anyway, it will be on here. Will Judge be able to cement himself as the definitive JLer? Or can newly crowned European champion, Tim Dillon, or Matt Myers, be able to challenge the crown? - Match Description: The first pin is your winner. Usual DQs etc etc in effect. - Word Limit: 5000 - Send To SuicideKing Ok, quick question. I had a long line of singles matches, and it looks incredibly boring, so I added a few stip matches. But on the same token, stip matches over and over tend to be, well, crap, and should be saved up for special occasions. So, would you all prefer to have more random stip matches, such as opening card Cage matches, or keep it the way it is?

Guest KingOfOldSchool Report post Posted October 15, 2002 SINGLES MATCH Manson vs. Wildchild - Eh... I've probably missed something about Manson retiring, but here's hoping. Round one, fight. - Match Description: Standard match. - Word Limit: 3500 - Send To realitycheck Erm, I don't know where that came from, but I am not retired, nor am I planning on retiring anytime soon. If I WAS planning on quitting, I would have brought it up with one of the SJL heads. I do know where the mistake could have been made however... Dating back to the last Crimson, and what was supposed to be a Triple Threat Lingerie Match between myself, MVS and Matt Myers. I cut a promo where I left the building during the show, refusing to participate, therefore leaving MVS and Myers alone in the match; but this was simply part of an angle, so we could use the match as a springboard point for our characters, and so we could all do our own thing. So just to clarify, I am still around.

Guest Goodear Report post Posted October 15, 2002 Ok, quick question. I personally would rather have some nice, normal matches. I've had like 7 matches so far and like ... two of them have been just a regular singles match (two regular, one hardcore, one special referee, one battle royal, two triple threats). And this stipulation with Logan seems like a real hindrance to me, 3500 words for a five minute match?
Secret Agent 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2002 It all depends on stip matches. I myself prefer them for biger matches. Ones where you have feuds involved, or title matches. All in all they can be fun as long as it is not the same guys involved in the stip matches constantly, and different kinds of stips like ones you threw at me in times past. Like the throw in the towel match. Fun to do and not something you see very often. Luberjack matches, first blood matches, etc. You guys use cages and HIAC's way too often compared to the other stips, so i would suggest some of the rarer ones. Anyways nice card crusen, it looks like a jam packed show. Oh, and Z owes me twenty bucks.
Guest ScorpionDanceofDeath Report post Posted October 15, 2002 Stip matches can be fun to write, but also a hinderance. I just wanted to say that I know I don't deserve the rematch, but thank you.
Guest realitycheck Report post Posted October 15, 2002 To expand on what Johnny and Ejiro have said, one, I personally like stip matches and multi-mans, and agree that variation should be used more. There are hundreds of stip matches, so why should a carousel of four or five constantly be used? However, two, I agree they should also be used in moderation. I know lots of people who constatnly get stuck in a bunch of the same multi-man/gimmick matches, and could just use a good ol' singles match. Redundancy is the leading cause of burnout, sans whatever we all laughably refer to as a social life. Oh, and Dangerous... ::fises around in wallet:: Here, a fresh twenty. Bon appetite. -Z So I swiped Tom's wallet when he wasn't looking, but shhh...

Guest Insanityman Report post Posted October 17, 2002 Whoo I can write. I re-posted that list a while back, it was mostly junk but meh. Stips are very nice since they allow more creative to flow.

Guest Christian_Fury Report post Posted October 17, 2002 I've got a stip for you: Wing-Walker Title Match: The combatants are battling on the top of a B-52 Stratofortress... Either grounded or flying, take your pick... But preferably flying. The title belt is mounted on top of the tail fin of the aircraft. First one to it wins it. The wrestlers are hooked to bungees mounted to each main wing tip. I'd recommend not pushing people off so they fall in front of, or behind the 8 jet engines... That's grounds for DQ. Turbulence is completely legal. An extra addition could be a special guest pilot. Hatches are fair game for weapons. Fighting in the plane is legal, so long as 1) You don't enter the cockpit, and 2) You don't mind fighting around live nukes... Only fully-loaded B-52s are used for these contests, mind you. How's that for a fucked-up match, eh? I can't take credit for the original idea, but I did refine it.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Report post Posted October 17, 2002 Beware of bitching and rambling, straight ahead. I'm not feelin' it. </Taker> I'll be honest. I'm so fucked up right now. Despite what I said earlier, in this same thread no less, I take it as me trying to convince myself that the fed is good for me right now, and that I can still be good creatively and offer something to you all. I guess I had an epiphany after I posted it. If my recent productivity is any indication, I just don't give a flying fuck anymore, which is a realization I've been trying to avoid. Not meant to be a knock on the federation. It's just that I write and write, but it means nothing when I go to sleep at night, and everything I write reads the same. I've been slipping further and further in life, I'm completely unfulfilled and miserable, so something has to change, meaning that I can't devote any time towards being an active wrestler in the SWF (admittedly, one of the few things I've found joy in lately, but it couldn't hold me together forever). I guess it's been a long time coming, despite whatever I may have done to revamp and rejuvenate myself and my character. Though I've done this song and dance before, it still hurts me to say that I'm quitting once again. And chances are even more unlikely that this time around I'll attempt a comeback. Sorry for not turning anything in Z, despite asking for an extension in hopes of becoming inspired within a few hours. Sorry for putting anyone who read it through this rant. I'll be around here and there [dumb happy emoticon here].
