This is 2 weeks in a row the rating went up.

What has the last 2 shows have that one's before didn't.

D'LO BROWN

I knew it

I agree. This explanation gives me more satisfaction and helps me retain smark sanity more than people actually liking what they're giving us with the Big Necrophilia Machine and Mister Glass Cieling.

Here is the thing:

They have blown the biggest load they can for a 'soap-opera storyline' direction. Where can you go from here to try and top it for sheer controversy and tastelessness? You have the challenger to you champ as a drunk-driving, raping, necrophiliac, possible burn victim with a psychotic edge.

In the the past two weeks, you have shot your load with every gimmick you can think with the exception of 'Capture the Midget'.

You've plastered your new poster boy all of the show, announced he is going to be on every low-rated show you can think of.

And out of all this hype, coming on the heels of the publicity you've gotten from the Nicole Bass trial and the Billy and Chuck wedding (Face it, its true. Any publicity is good publicity), you've gotten a .2 spike.

.2

Not 2.0. Not 1.2. A .2 spike.

Meanwhile, over in the other half of the brand extension, they keep chugging along, putting out a quality show each week, and ratings have been steadily improving by that same .1 a week, give or take a week where it stays steady. And thats without HHH being all over the place on that show.

If you have wrestling people in charge of the company (which seems unlikely at this point....), it seems to say that you can simply put on a quality wrestling show that features, well, wrestling, and get a better ratings improvement than you do by shovelling all the sports entertainment at people that you can think of.

But then again, a genius promoter like McMahon doesn't need my half-baked theories. I eagerly await what will follow the conclusion of the Kane-HHH program, in order to see what they can come up with to try and top it.

I forsee an incest angle in the near future.

RAW will probably get a 4.0 rating next week, being that its off a PPV and the rating has gone up .1 the last two weeks. When was the last time they had a 4.0 for RAW?

What the hell is this though? If this crap continues... and ratings go up..... I dont know if I will be able to live with that..

Ca anyone else picture Hunter buying like 200 TV's and tuning them all into Raw just to bump the rating up a bit?

And then going door to door stealing people's Nielsen boxes?

*knock knock*

"Yes?"

"Do you-uh have a Nielsen box-uh?"

"No."

"Damn-uh!" kick-wham-pedigree!

Ratings went up because Test wasn't on the show.

Well the other Raw ended with a cliffhanger.

So I figured most people wanted to know about this murder angle. Like me.

But if they had to do something like that anyways, It could have been carried out a lot better. It's like a 10 year attempt at writing a drama.

I pray that the rating bump was a result of the hook at the end of the show and not the result of a bunch of dumb-asses thinking that necrophilia is cool.

And Fazzle, you forgot...

HHH *poses, spits water*

I don't know if I'd go that far, I keep forgetting that the ppv is Sunday, the lackluster buildup is the reason...I wouldn't be suprised if it stayed the same or dropped.

And I credit Tommy Dreamer with the rating jump

Well, with the ratings going up for a murder/necrophilia storyline, i reckon it's only a matter of time before we get a Vince/Stephanie incest angle. Ratings baybee~!

CORRECTED RAW RATING

I just got word that due to the rounding of the Raw numbers, the show actually did a 3.8 cable rating this week, not a 3.9. The show did a 5.8 share. So, that means the show did the same number as last week. This week's show did hours of 3.8 and 3.9.

Oh well....same rating, same shit.

Just wait to No Mercy happens. THEN the ratings hit the fan.

shit already hit the fan, it was that Kane promo....

And the sound was: KWANG!

Does that mean ratings have officially bottomed out?

Or can more viewers be lost?

I definitely think that RAW has the ability to lose a few more viewers.

I'm guessing that the ratings "baseline", so to speak, hovers around 3.0 at this point.
