Guest nikowwf Report post Posted October 16, 2002 6 matches? TRUE WORLD TITLE HELL IN THE CELL Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker UNIFICATION MATCH FAKE WORLD TITLE vs. IC TITLE HHH vs. Kane SMACKDOWN TAG TITLES Rey Mysterio & Edge vs. Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit RAW TAG TITLE Christian & Chris Jericho vs. Booker T & Goldust RVD vs. Ric Flair WOMANS TITLE Trish Stratus vs. Victoria Is it just me, or is there a lack of good enough matches that there is only 6? Is the Tag Title Tournament final best out of 3 falls or something? Weak show...going to need a lot of Jack Daniels Hard Colas for this one... Niko

Guest midnight_burn Report post Posted October 16, 2002 Well they might toss Noble vs Tajiri or some other generic challenger for the Cruiserweight Title on there, though the WWE seems to have an aversion to putting cruiserweight matches on pay per view. Guest nikowwf Report post Posted October 16, 2002 I have noticed this aversion. Must be too simple to simply add GOOD WORKERS who will have GOOD MATCHES to the show when you have a hoss like Billy Gunn in need of a match. The woman's match will be short too. Still looks like they need a match. NikO

Yeah...if he's still holding those titles by the time the unification happens (like you don't expect it to), then only after the unification of the titles will he be a Grand Slam champion
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted October 16, 2002 ARGH! They have to continue this God awful Angle/Benoit feud for another month so to prove, that yes indeed, Kurt Angle will NEVER beat edge. I hope it's the match of the night, and the PPV does a shitty buyrate, so they can rip the title off Brock so fast he'll need an inhaler and give it to Angle or Benoit. Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted October 17, 2002 So which way do we think the Smackdown tag match goes? It seems logical for Edge and Rey to win after whichever of Benoit/Angle is going to eventually go face busts up on the other. That'd leave Edge and Rey to most likely shuffle through the lower-caliber teams (Noble/Tajiri, Farooq/D-Von) en route to a big showdown with the Guerreros, both of whom have mega-history with Rey & Edge. Meanwhile, Benoit and Angle continue the singles program and blow it off with, most likely, the Angle win at Summerslam. That's how I'd handle it, at least. I could also see the booking team throwing a curve to make Angle/Benoit last even longer, either through blown Guerreros interference *against* Angle/Benoit, or successful Guerreros interference *for* Angle/Benoit against the face team here. This then gives our unhappy tag partners a bit of a run with the belts, and they do the "Benoit re-turns on Angle" bit a couple months later to get some more mileage out of the relationship. Which do you think is most likely? My guess is that Angle's going to take the pin after Benoit leaves him hanging, but it could definitely go either way. Neither man's played the face so far, and we're really only working on guesses of Angle/Lesnar at WM in predicting Angle's face turn. Either way you swing it, I think the writing team's done a pretty good job setting up a multilayered relationship between 6 wrestlers here.

Oh, they'll do that just to stretch this BORING feud out as long as they fucking can. It's their way of doing nothing with Angle and Benoit without pissing smarks off. You can't be serious? 2 women's matches, on top of the *HORRIBLE* Kane/HHH feud, and Taker in the other ME, is just a bad decision. Torrie vs. Dawn? What the fuck? On a PPV? Especially when Eddy is w/out a match after busting his ass since he's come back.

If they had any chance to be good, I wouldn't mind at all. Trish/Victoria could be decent, but Torrie/Dawn shouldn't be on a PPV. And they have two women's matches, but the best woman wrestler they have Molly isn't even in any of them.

Here's hoping Molly and Jazz come out and beat the everloving crap out of Torrie and Dawn for no reason whatsoever. Then...MOLLY BEATS UP JAZZ! WHOO! MOLLY IS THE BEST WOMAN THEY HAVE TODAY! ...sorry, went into Molly Markdom...*goes back to stare at pictures of Molly from her WCW days to now.
Guest deadbeater Report post Posted October 17, 2002 I do admit the Dawn/Torrie feud would be much sharper if they were fighting for, I don't know, Torrie's father's affection. Now THAT would be soap-opera like. Hey, the Steph and Trish feud from 2000 had a similar maguffin. Molly will be in the PPV somehow, perhaps as outside referee while Jacqueline is in the ring for the Victoria/Trish match? She has to...Wouldn't it be funny if somehow the cell gets lowered during the match? Just thinking.
