They were able to do it in one night. Tonight completely wiped away Two months of a HORRID feud. I am FINALLY interested as to where Angle/benoit is going. For the first time in two months, they do NOT look like petty jackasses fighting for no reason. (They are coming together for a common purposes-the tag titles) For the first time in Two months, they look competant. They didn't bumble once tonight. And oh my God, is it true? they have BRAINS? For the first time in two months, they weren't booked as the stupidect people on earth. And they actually OUTSMARTED someone. last week, they couldn't smell an obvious set up, and then all of a sudden, they have (at least) a 4 year old level IQ. Why couldn't they book the whole feud like this?

I really liked the way Benoit and Angle 'celebrated' with Kurt all smiles, sort of devious and benoit still stoic... The real two man power trip... The WWF is theirs. Vince... Give it to em...... And Eddie... And Chavo... And Version 1... bah gawd Eddie, Chavo and Version 1.

I dunno, heyman likes to have the tag-team-at-odds... I'd say Benoit/Angle stays together at least until Survivor Series.

 

The great thing I like about this is that Benoit has been in the main event A LOT lately (at he's not being forced down our throats either)- and sooner or later the audience will just accept him in that role...ditto Angle, Edge, and Rey..

Totally agree, Anglesault - this fued started out pretty bad and looked to be going nowhere, but god damn, tonight was awesome. Not just their match either, but all the Benoit/Eddie/Chavo/Angle backstage vignettes, their reaction to winning, everything, it worked so well.

If you need proof as to how over this team can get, just look at the reaction that they got on Smackdown tonight. Toronto crowds have shown us in the past that they can change the direction of storylines (ie Hogan's sudden face turn)

Yeah, there is always a problem with heels who get cheered. They are sometimes getting cheered BECAUSE they are heels. e.g Triple H. The fans used to go mad for his entrance when he was a heel, because he was "cool".

I'm glad you're finally happy Anglesault. I'm glad that your Precise little Angle is made to look great at the dispense of Eddie & Chavo Guererro. I'm so happy that Eddie & Chavo were made to look like the fools or the "bumbing Idiots" and now Eddie is left with nothing for the PPV.

 

Nah, just kidding! Even though I think you're too damn sensitive with the Kurt Angle stuff, him & Benoit did look great. And Eddie is that Damn good and will bounce back from this. I hope!

 

But, what I don't get? You've been bitching about Benoit & Angle having a "Crappy" Feud when they should be Wrestling in the Main Event for the Title. Now their "Getting Along" and Working as Team, and possibly gonna become the Tag Team Champions, you're happy about this even though their not in the Main Event?

I hate to sound negative in a positive thread, but I was thinking the same thing. Then you go on to make a thread called "Was that so hard?" as if you had anything to do with it.

 

BTW, I was at SD live and the "Angle (clap clap)" and "We Want Angle" chants were in full effect. It almost made me feel bad for Benoit because he didn't get nearly as much love despite being Canadian.

It raises the question though....what or who can save Raw?

But none of those matches can match up to the match-ups possible on SD. In fact, I would only consider Angle/Hurricane to be a lock for being good, as all of the others are either woefully inferior to the best on SD(RVD, Booker), Very dodgy in terms of consistency(Jericho) or just plain lacking something (Storm is too bland, Regal can't work without people willing to work his style, which I have never seen Angle do). All in all, I think there is still too much to be had with Angle on Smackdown for him to leave their just yet.

Hmmm. Jericho isn't motivated right now, but if he was feuding with Angle for the RAW Title you bet your ass he would be. RVD brings about as much to the table as Rey Rey and a bit more than Edge. Storm's blandness only hurts when his opponent lacks charisma as well, Angle doesn't have that problem, Regal can be carried (Benoit/Regal at the Pillman show). I forogt to mention Goldust who is a very solid worker and whose character would be funny for Angle to react to. Chris Harvard another good worker.

 

SD! has Benoit, Eddie, Edge, Brock, the CW's, and will probobly get the next few OVW grads. SD! is stable, RAW is sinking.
