I think DeMott got the gig by default. I can't think of any other wrestler who is disposable enough to take off the roster for nine weeks to play the tough guy. Hell, the WW_ brass probably just feels sorry for not having anything for DeMott to do, so they let him push the newbies around in the hopes of getting his face on TV.

 

I'm hoping for a guest spot by Rikishi, where they all have to learn to take the "Stinkface" bump properly. (Scott will still get it wrong.)

Also, it cracks me up when DeMott's says "Prove to me you have what it takes to be in the WWE!" I know there is some fans of his on here, and I even like him a little bit, but what has he done to prove he should still have a job?

 

Take him off TV, and no one would miss him or give a damn.

It's not about whether or not people know who Demott is that determines his worthiness. It's about what he does in that ring day in and day out. And Demott always busts his ass when he performs.

JR has pimped DeMott as a good trainer, so that's probably one of the reasons he got the job.

 

He had a good match w/ Storm earlier this year on Jakked (or one of the other C shows).

 

He's certainly one of the better big guys on the roster. Who would you rather watch: DeMott or Rikishi/Mark Henry/Bull/Taker/Big Show?

In the previews for last night show, I got the impression that Bill was being a bit rough on the people by shooting on them so early, but after watching it, I would've flipped out too. Scott landed right on him a bunch of times. You have to give it up to Al though for stepping in and taking the pain.

I was never a fan of Hugh except when he first started doing the Hugh Morrus gimmick on WCW Saturday Night. But I like the tough guy thing he's got going. The way I figure it is he realizes he never really got much of a chance to shine so he's going to take it out on these poor scrubs. Since for a short time, the winner will get their 15 minutes of fame ala Gackie Jayda.

This season doesn't look very good at all. Most of the people on the show don't look like they'd make decent wrestlers.

 

I'm glad they are being more stuff on them this year. I don't want anymore crap like Jackie or Linda in the WWE.

Did anyone watch last night? As expected, the company did not show footage from Lisa's "breakdown". In fact, Big flat out lied to the audience and contestants about Lisa's departure. He just said she didn't want to be on the show any more, she didn't want it, blah blah. He didn't mention on air her storming the house and suicide attempt (jumping from the roof of the house).

 

Scott tore a ligament in his thumb but it does not require surgery. The doctors told him to rest his had for 6-8 weeks.

 

Big Jonah lost a bet with Matt. He had to imitate Bill Demott. It was kind of funny.

 

Next week someone gets injured and someone gets cut. I heard that Chad is the first to be cut.

Maybe the storming the house and suicide attempt comes later. Or MTV pulled the slickest editing of all time. Cause it didn't look like anything had been thrown around or out of place, and the cast thought she was missing. Of course they could have told the cast what to say and use different footage of the house.

 

IIRC, didn't the whole breakdown episode occur during the final stages of filming?

 

If this is editing, that was the best way you could take Lisa out of the show without tarnishing her reputation any further.

 

Two gone already...and no cuts yet. And I don't even think the hard stuff has started yet.

I hadn't heard that. And the production staff may have done some selective cleaning of the house before the kids came home.

Or perhaps the kids were told of the entire incident and that it was "unfit for public consumption," so they cleaned up the house and reshot their entrances, Big's explanation, their reactions, etc.

 

I'm not sure suicide is something even eMpTyV or WW_ are willing to tackle.

This season's cast isn't all that impressive, after last season's debacle of picking two women I see them picking Jonah and the gymnast with sideburns. Jonah has the size and charisma and the other guy looks like he can be a good cruiserweight.

I think it is just indicative of the caliber of people WWE has in charge that there is even a rumor that they were gonna run it.

Jonah lacks charisma. Nothing special about him that stands out...yet. I'll reserve judgement until they start cutting promos. Speaking of the promos they haven't done them yet...focusing on the in-ring stuff. In TE2 they had that speech coach that they were going to to help with promos...seems like more wrestling going on in this one.

 

Matt is the only one I could seriously buy as a wrestler right now. He looks like a younger Hugh Morrus (although it could be the hair that reminds me of Hugh Morrus....errrrrr Bill DeMott). Maybe Justin too. Jonah looks like one of those huge gym rats who do nothing but work out.

Yeah, he reminds me of some of those body-building ham-n-eggers from the '90s, like Alex the Pug Porteau, or those guys from High Voltage. I don't see Jonah going too far. Especially with that thick Bah-stin accent.

1) I have a feeling Jonah will be the Pete of TE 3. Become peoples favorite, but be the last one cut before they announce the winners.

 

2) I like Matt or John to win. And for some reason, I would really like to see Scott make it. He is the only one in the house with a personality.

 

3) Lisa went insane, and probably did something weird. Like take all the furniture in the house, turn it upside down, and move it to the other side of the room.

Actually found a site called www.realitynewsonline.com and found their report on Lisa's breakdown. This is from Reality News Online's October 7th TE3 update written by Mike McGeorge...

 

"There has been a huge story reported on the Lordsofpain.net website regarding one of the Tough Enough 3 contestants, identified only as "Lisa."

 

Apparently, she was left behind in the house while the others went out partying. She began running around and crashing into walls, then climbed on the roof and claimed she was going to jump. Our favorite host John "Big" Gaburick was called to come over and managed to talk her down.

 

"Lisa" was hospitalized for three days against her will and put into a straightjacket to keep her from harming herself. She was released to her parents, who took her home to New Mexico. She attacked her parents and ran away, and was again sent to a hospital.

 

Later, she called MTV and Tough Enough staffers to try and get back onto the show. She was, of course, unsuccessful.

 

She has since been 'stalking' WWE events trying to get backstage, even at one point conversing with Vince McMahon. Her picture has since been given to all WWE security officials to keep her away from events."

 

 

 

 

 

The guy who wrote the update goes on to report that MTV said no footage of Lisa would be aired during the season (obviously someone changed their minds). He also says that at the time it was an unconfirmed story. There's also an interview with Big at the website that sheds some more light onto the situation. On the show we saw her left alone at the house and looking worried about a phone call, so that's about all that can be confirmed off the show.

I know Tough Enough is very hard but it's not like a concentration camp or anything like that. Did they pick the most fucked up people to make good tv? They must have!!!!

 

Anybody else want to have "Lisa sightings" at WWE events? I'd like to see her get carted away to the mental hospital.

Lisa probably had mental issues before she even showed up on TE3. These things don't just pop up over night.

 

I read the interview with Sexy Big at realitynewsonline. Big said in essence that she had issues and that they were felt bad for her. He really did not want to discuss it.

 

On Jonah, it is really too early to say whether or not he's gonna make it. He just seems like he is missing something to me.

I interpreted your comment as sarcasm, I then made a joke myself. Bill Demott = Hugh Morrus, Hugh Morrus' Moonsault = No Laughing Matter. I then made a remark about "injured people equals rating" to further emphasize the fact I wasn't being serious.

 

Anybody else want to have "Lisa sightings" at WWE events? I'd like to see her get carted away to the mental hospital.  

 

I was at the San Jose show where she apparently talked her way backstage which led to her picture being shown to security.
