Guest Luke Michael Report post Posted November 3, 2002 Does anybody else think Lisa had some major problems before she went on the show? I seriously doubt she was a normal person and then just went crazy after one week training to be a wrestler. From the looks of the past two episodes I think they held those more personal interviews with the finalists not to pick who the best people were but to pick the people who would make the most interesting show. I think they did stuff like "There's two people. They both are in good physical form and had good videos. This one said they have a history of getting into fights with other people alot. Which one should we pick?" Anybody think they go for the people who will cause problems? I do!
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted November 3, 2002 Of course. I think they do this for all reality shows. Do you really think someone like Scott was picked for their physical ability? His physique? No, it's becaue he was naked in his video. With that said, he's one of my favourite personalities on any WWE show right now. I still can't get over his flips from last week! Guest subliminal_animal Report post Posted November 4, 2002 All I care about winning is Matt. He's got the look and he seems like he's pretty calm, cool, and collective. Collective? So is he going to be Nikolai Volkoff 2003? Hawhaw...I am LAME. He had a good match w/ Storm earlier this year on Jakked (or one of the other C shows). Yeah, they were actually feuding, but they never bothered to finish it. Did anyone watch last night? As expected, the company did not show footage from Lisa's "breakdown". In fact, Big flat out lied to the audience and contestants about Lisa's departure. He just said she didn't want to be on the show any more, she didn't want it, blah blah. He didn't mention on air her storming the house and suicide attempt (jumping from the roof of the house). I'm pretty sure they know what happened. I'm guessing he told them that first for the cameras and then told them what really happened. I don't know why you seem to be upset about it. I think it shows some class that they didn't exploit her mental and/or emotional issues, something she obviously must've had coming into the competition. Really, think how awful it must've been for her if this went past this small Internet circle and was broadcast on national TV in an episode that would be shown over and over again? 1) I have a feeling Jonah will be the Pete of TE 3. Become peoples favorite, but be the last one cut before they announce the winners. People liked Pete? If you think about it, it could be better for him that he was cut when he was. That way he didn't get a chance to act like an immature, whining brat like Jake and Kenny did. I think that might have really hurt any chance they had of being signed in the near future. 2) I like Matt or John to win. And for some reason, I would really like to see Scott make it. He is the only one in the house with a personality. It's been two weeks, man...they really haven't really even tried to get anybody else "over." I know Tough Enough is very hard but it's not like a concentration camp or anything like that. Did they pick the most fucked up people to make good tv? They must have!!!! The way you're talking about this, I'm guessing you're around 14 or 15. Does anybody else think Lisa had some major problems before she went on the show? I seriously doubt she was a normal person and then just went crazy after one week training to be a wrestler. Now you're getting it.
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted November 4, 2002 The third episode of Tough Enough III drew a 1.0 rating, a 33% drop from the 1.5 that the show had done for the first two weeks. Such a big drop not good news for MTV and WWE. Credit: 1wrestling.com Maybe they should have shown the Lisa Footage?

Not for the Tough Enough Series. A rating of 1.0 is pretty shitty. If they keep this up, there will not be a tough enough 4.
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Hopefully TE4 would have indy wrestlers who work their asses off and won't quit and drop out.
Guest subliminal_animal Report post Posted November 4, 2002 Yeah, if there is a Tough Enough 4, I just want them to pick a bunch of indy wrestlers. That way we can see a more advanced side of the training and we don't get any non-wrestlers at all.
Guest buffybeast Report post Posted November 5, 2002 If there is a TE4 then they will make it the same as now, people chosen for the personality and athletic skills. Let's face facts people, the WWF has signed all the indy talent they are interested right now. If there is an indy star out there who is great and the company knows about them, they would have signed them already.

WWE is not interested in York and Matthews, for example.
Guest mach7 Report post Posted November 5, 2002 Man, is this show ever a worthless pile of horseshit. Seriously, is the point of this show to get new "talent" for WWE or is it so that they can present this diluted soap-opera where everyone is pissed off at everyone else? Ooh, Scott is pissing the house off with his no-holds-barred comments "Have you ever used a female condom?" Oh no, we have to do extra workouts! God forbid! And this "Big" guy.. don't even get me started on him. "You spit on me!" HAW!! What has this fat-ass ever done in the ring besides NOTHING? Yeah, that's absolutely it... Give me a fucking break.. this whole HOUSE is full of whiners... I hope MTV comes to it's senses and cancels this wretched waste of airtime. I'd rather watch a *gag* special on N'Sync than this shit ever again. Sorry for the rant.. but, shit. I had to let it out!!
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted November 5, 2002 I totally agree with mach7. I hope this is the last Tough Enough. They hardly know what their doing with the Talent they have now. Why keep adding 2 -4 new kids to the roster each year? Even if they do send them to OVW, their is other indy guys out there who would be better and would be willing to get "Re-Programed" and learn WWE Style. Screw Tough Enough, Heat, Bottom Line and whatever other No purpose shows they have now. Make a Damn OVW TV show so when the "New" guys or Women show up on TV, the fans will already know a little about them.
Guest buffybeast Report post Posted November 5, 2002 And this "Big" guy.. don't even get me started on him. "You spit on me!" HAW!! What has this fat-ass ever done in the ring besides NOTHING? Yeah, that's absolutely it... You don't have to participate in a sport to be an expert on it. No, Big has never wrestled. But the man must know what he's talking about if the company has given him the task of analyzing wrestlers. I think he's doing a good job of critiquing the talent. Guest notJames Report post Posted November 5, 2002 They're just adding to the drama until the finals where he sweeps all the other contestants out the door. Seriously, he's the only one I give two shits about on that show. Everyone else is either non-existent or non-compelling. And a big ol' F-View to Jonah for trying to get out of the bet. If the roles were reversed, that big baby would have torn Scott's clothes off and forcibly put the bikini on him. The guy's got no heart and no balls. I'm glad DeMott laid into him like he did. Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted November 5, 2002 This show is going to be boring as hell when Scott leaves. He's injured and poisoned...can't be there long. I'll just look forward to seeing interviews.
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted November 6, 2002 Did you guys catch the part in the preview when Jonah lands on Al while doing that handstand front bump? I can see why Hugh was so pissed when Scott kept fucking that up. And Scott is the one hospitalized? Nooooo! If he gets cut, he should get a contract anyway like that hoss from TE2. I don't care if his wrestling sucks, the least he could do is replace TE1 Josh on SlamJam.

Let's face facts people, the WWF has signed all the indy talent they are interested right now. If there is an indy star out there who is great and the company knows about them, they would have signed them already. That seems silly. Do they really believe someone like Justin has a better look or personality than ANYONE on the indies? That's ridiculous. I don't know about his personality, but he's definitely ugly, and they're more attractive guys as athletic with as good as a build as him, if not better, on the indy circuit. But he's 6'4" or something, and the WWE knows we all jsut want big, tall people...who cares how good they are. Fuck that. Hope no one's mentioned this, but does Justin remind anyone else here of Nicolas Cage? He looks like a sort of retarded Nicolas Cage... His face is the same shape, but that's it. They're just adding to the drama until the finals where he sweeps all the other contestants out the door. Seriously, he's the only one I give two shits about on that show. Everyone else is either non-existent or non-compelling. But no one's really gotten much of a focus except Scott at this point. And judging from the past, that doesn't bode well for his chances. Logically, when someone is a major focus early on, it's because they're not staying beyond "early on." The people that make it for the finals...they showcase them when everyone's gone. In the first TE, I remember being all "Who's that?" to Taylor in about halfway through. And a big ol' F-View to Jonah for trying to get out of the bet. If the roles were reversed, that big baby would have torn Scott's clothes off and forcibly put the bikini on him. The guy's got no heart and no balls. I'm glad DeMott laid into him like he did. Same with me. If you're make a bet you think you REALLY can't afford to lose, you don't go with something like the other guy getting nubmers at a bar. Any halfway decent-looking guy can get some girl's number at a bar. Even if he was ugly, he just needs to find the ugliest person there and get their number. Just because he says weird things doesn't mean he can't suddenly be all polite with a lady to GET THE DIGITS~! Jeez, Jonah, you're a fucking moron. And DeMott laid into him? When? I must've missed this. I only remember him pretending to get mad at Jonah's impresion of him before telling him it was good.

Guest subliminal_animal Report post Posted November 6, 2002 I think Jonah'll get torn one sooner or later. He doesn't come off well at all, and when they edit it that way, you tell something's coming. Scott was in the ambulance? I thought it was a contestant that got hurt horsing around, from the way someone said they knew "someone was gonna get hurt." Poor Scott...this sucks. Hopefully Lita, Jr. rubs everyone the wrong way too and that they just haven't shown it.

In the teaser, they showed Scott passed out on his bed, and what appeared to be failed attempts to get him to wake up. Then they cut to the ambulance. Could be a huge swerve to make us think it's Scott... wouldn't put it past them... And yeah, I hope it's DeMott after getting the Big Josh/Jonah BUTT splash.
