Spin the Wheel list

Recommended Posts

Guest WrestlingDeacon

Just for official purposes, here is the complete list of spin the wheel, make the deal matches Ash and I have come up with. Most everyone should have recieved a pm from me, but if you did not, just fire me off a pm on what match you would most like to see Ash and Frost take part in. Please have it to me by midnight tonight. The winning match will be announced during the Dissention show. Please do not reveal what match you voted for, but feel free to discuss the matches in general on this thread. Thanks.

Greetings all. As some of you might be aware, Ash and I have been thinking about doing a Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal match for the upcoming ppv. Undaunted by the Wheel of Bisch from the recent Raw, Ash and I are forging ahead with our plans and want the input of our fellow WF and JL writers, both past and present, in deciding on a match. Below is a list of twenty gimmick matches with a brief explanation for each. Simply reply to this pm and directly indicate which match you would most like to see Frost and Ash take part in by name. Please only choose one match, although feel free to comment and mention other matches in case of a tie. Please have all pm’s back to me by midnight eastern this coming Monday, so Ash and I have plenty of time to write our matches. The winning match will not be revealed until the ppv itself. We hope this idea adds interest to our contest and provides all of you, as the writers and fans of the SWF, with something that you directly want to see. Thank you.

Windown Pain Match: The match Frost pioneered in the SJL. The winner must smash a pain of glass with or over their opponent’s body to score the win. Regular dq and count out rules do not apply.

Hardcore Gauntlet Match: The winner must break or destroy one of each of the following objects over or with their opponent’s body: steel chair, table, ladder, pain of glass, weapon of choice (t.v., stop sign, trash can, etc.). Regular dq and count out rules do not apply.

Boxing match: The two men fight 12 rounds under standard boxing rules with standard boxing equipment. Must win by KO, TKO, referee stoppage or judges decision. Judges will most likely be made up of SWF legends and each man can pick the corner men of their choice. Special guest referee Mills Lane.

Stash the Ash match: After Ash Ketchum gets married at the ppv, fighting Frost is the last thing he would want to do. He’d probably rather just go on his honeymoon. Well maybe he can do both. Ash’s plane for his honeymoon leaves approximately 30 minutes after the bell rings to start the match. If Ash is on the plane when it takes off, he wins, if Frost can detain him from catching the flight, Frost retains. The airport is approximately 10 minutes away by car, 20 on foot. Everything goes.

Thundercage Match: Another WCW Halloween tradition. A cage is placed over the ring and immediate ring area. The top is open, but is tilted in and electrified; if you climb up too far you will receive a shock. There is also no door. Both men will have a second at ringside with a white towel. When the second feels that their man has had enough, he throws in the towel and concedes the match for his man. The match must continue until the towel is thrown in by the designated second.

Tai Pai Death Match: The Rottens had one of these in ECW. Both men have shards of glass glued to their fists and may freely pummel their opponents with such. Winner keeps their man down for the count of ten. Everything goes.

I Respect You match: Winner must force his opponent to say “I respect you” on a microphone to be heard over the arena’s sound system. Everything goes.

Ultimate Submission match: Best 2 out of 3 falls, but a win can only be done by submission and on a different body part for each match; first fall: arm, second fall: leg, third fall: head. Regular dq, count outs and pinfalls do not count.

Inferno match: A ring of fire surrounds the ring. The winner is the first grappler to force their opponent into the flames and catch some portion of their person on fire. Everything goes.

SWF Sumo Match: Both fight a traditional sumo styled wrestling match in traditional sumo attire. The difference is that match will be fought in a standard SWF ring and one must throw their opponent over the top rope to the floor to win the fall. Best of five wins.

Ladder Match: The Hardcore title will be suspended from a line over the ring. The first man to climb up a provided ladder, retrieve the belt and return with both feet to the canvas claims the belt. Everything goes.

Crippler Match: Each grappler has a second at ringside with a weapon specifically picked by the grappler in the match. When a man is tossed to the floor, the second of their opponent is able to strike them with said weapon three times. Regular dq and count outs are not in effect. Must win by pinfall submission, or TKO if a man is knocked to the floor five times.

Frostbite Match: The match is fought in a cleared area by a large walk in freezer. The winner must throw their opponent into the freezer and lock the door. Everything goes.

Hide and Go Seek Match: The Hardcore title will be hidden somewhere within the arena. The location will be unknown to both grapplers and the first man to find the title claims it for his own and wins the match. Everything goes.

Big Red Button Match: The center of the ring contains a large red button. The object is to slam your opponent directly onto the button, what happens after that is anyone’s guess.

Matinee Melee Match: The Hardcore title is hidden somewhere within a local movie theater. Both men enter the theater from separate entrances and must search for the title while fending the other one off. First person to find the belt and leave the theater with it in their possession is the winner.

Arcade Assault Match: The two grapplers do battle in a local and fairly large video game arcade. No dq’s or count outs are in effect. Winner must pin or force their opponent to submit within the confines of the arcade. Everything goes.

Death in the Stratosphere Match: Opposing wrestlers will board a DC-10 Jumbo Jet. All the seats in the jet have been removed, creating a huge empty space. The Jet will contain all sorts of weapons, which will be used during the match. The opposing wrestlers will remain separated until the plane reaches 50,000 feet. Upon gaining the required altitude, a federation official will start the match. Dq’s and count outs are not in effect. The winner must force their opponent to say “I Quit” for the official to hear.

45 Minute Iron Man Match: The match will be held under a 45-minute time limit. Whoever scores the most falls in that time period, either pinfall, submission, knock out, dq or count out is the victor. Standard dq and count out rules are in effect.

The Man with the Plan Match: A piece of paper will be taped to the wheel on this spot. On the paper is the name of a randomly selected SWF wrestler, past or present, chosen by a neutral party. It is then up to that person to decide which match the two combatants should take part in, whether one on the wheel or of their own design. If voting for this match, please name the person whom you wish to make the decision (not including yourself).
