Guest Thoth Report post Posted October 21, 2002 First of all... I apologize, my match sucked and I have no excuse. Good luck to Mak at Dissention. Also, today's show... was full of matches. I'll do detailed comments later... but man, no promos. Also, King says he only got two matches. Meh. Now look at my giant sig pic!
Guest El Luchadore Magnifico Report post Posted October 21, 2002 Iori looks kinda girly in that pic. *shields self* Anyway, not a bad show at all, and quite the impressive upset from Mak. But of course, now he's got Flesher to deal with. Good lead-in to the PPV, I think...
Guest AnnieEclectic Report post Posted October 21, 2002 Well, on the personal note, it's 2-1 now and a big cage match looming in the series. Ugh, I've never done a cage match before. Lesse how I do... Congrats to Mak for pulling of a huge upset.... what'll happen at Dissention? Mak v. Taamo sounds tasty. I'm a little shocked by the lack of promoliciousnejss but Tod and I will make up for it leading up to the PPV at least heh heh heh... Spin the Wheel.... Frost, Ash, do us all proud and be better than any other fed with this gimmick. And have Exploding Chicken cameo somehow. Guest Ace309 Report post Posted October 22, 2002 Superior Storm Comments Brought To You By: Rite Aid Brand Ruled Index Cards, 240-count pack, on which I'm not only making flash cards for ConLaw but also booking the next month's worth of storylines. Opening Promo - No love for the opening promo. I really should have called that. Ash Ketchum over Mercury via C4 This match seemed a little Ash-centric. There's nothing wrong with putting yourself over, but the non-wrestling action seemed to ignore Merc entirely. There were Ash signs, Ash commentary, Ash sitting at ringside... kinda gave away exactly whose match it was. I did like Ash and Logan sitting at ringside... cute little bit in your hometown. The gay jokes seemed a little forced, and I can't believe you didn't include one when Merc got locked in the closet. Also, the finish came out of nowhere... but I hate hardcore, so I never bothered to learn the style. Not a bad hardcore match. Frost Unveils The Wheel Lots of Frost dialogue, balanced only by AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGA. But fun. Annie Eclectic over Tod deKindes by first blood Again, a pretty hardcore-minded match. I can't say much about the action, but there was a lot of excellent emotion. Nice match from Annie to keep her in contention. Tom Flesher over CIA via Gedo Clutch My own work, which I never review. Mak Francis over Thoth via cross armbreaker and Perfect Bo Nice match... heavy on the limbwork psych, which often seems tacked on, but made a lot of sense in context. Also, excellent use of the cross armbreaker to finish the match, which was, of course, exactly what I had been hoping to see. Good job, Makaroni. Don't cheese it.
