What exactly entitles this cocksucker to be the head writer for Raw? Did they honestly look at his credentials and say "Hey, let's hire him! He seems great!".

Let's not forget that his writing resume is:

-Jenny!

Yes, the ill-fated Jenny McCarthy sitcom starring George Hamilton that lasted less than one season. What a talent.

-Claude's Crib

A show so horrible nobody even remembers what it was.

-Big Wolf on Campus

And he's also credited as "Assistant to Producers" for the show Fired Up. Which probably means he got them coffee.

So once again, what do Vince, Stephanie, and the band of merry stooges see in some dumb fucker like Brian Gewirtz?

Not that I'm defending this cockless fuck, but you have Vince telling him to come up with this shit because the actual "wrestling" on Smackdown isn't popping ratings.

The actual "wrestling" on Smackdown for the last two weeks was one good match on each show, the first which lasted seven minutes and the second lasting ten - on a 120-minute show. Please.

To get hired by the WWE you need:

1) A degree in film

2) A good knowledge of WWE characters and storylines

Gerwitz has both. But he lacks TALENT.

The actual wrestling on SD is getting the same rating as Raw, and actually drawing more viewers than Raw (or so it has been explained on this board).

Yeah... "10 years ago." I'm sure he has extensive knowledge.

And degree in film--probably he would be glad to write an essay defending "Hobgoblins."

Don't network shows automatically outdraw cable shows?

Think about this with the ratings, though:

SmackDown! goes against everything on the "Must See Thursday" line-up on NBC AND goes against Survivor.

RAW only goes against MNF.

SmackDown!, if you took some of the viewers away from those two venues, would be hitting 4.0, without a doubt, so Vince should stop using SmackDown! as a scapegoat for not having enough soap opera shit. UT is obviously done for a while. So NOW what do we get???

Chavo fucking Pepe? His horse that was absolutely demolished?

Benoit having strange gay urges toward Billy Gunn???

I'm just waiting for something like, "Stephanie having an orgasm...who gave it to her???"

Fuck it. I'll watch ROH tapes if I want REAL wrestling. Don't gimme no goddamn bullshit about ratings being down for SmackDown! It's crap.

If Gerwirtz had the supposedly required knowledge of the WWE product's history, would this awful Kane storyline even be going on right now? I think we've pretty clearly established how this doesn't fit in with everything we've been told about him for the last five years.

Everybody Loves Raymond is also on Mondays and is the highest rated show on Mondays... so yeah.

Though Monday Night Football is the only one that would really have the same audience as Raw.

Heh, go for it, God. Hopefully, this board will be around in a year or two, so we could give you ideas...

Well, actually, if you did get a job there don't tell us. Ok, do, but make sure not to tell them about the internet wrestling junk, I don't think they like that. (Y)

He'd probably be immediately moved down the ladder when he mentions the idea of having the roster actually wrestle out there.

SmackDown! has a trend of having several good to excellent matches in one night and had one show lately where it didn't quite meet expectations. RAW has a trend of having nothing but crap with scattered, short, 3 minute matches where everyone still pretends to have gone through WWIII despite having taken only a few moves (with the exception of the main event.). PLEASE, yourself.

Neither show's ratings are very good. But at least Smackdown has good matches everyweek, Raw is desperate. In a year or two tell me which shows direction will generate the better ratings.

The split will probably be overwith by then. Or at least, everyone on both rosters will have been on both shows at one point.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here as I agree with most of your statement. (I thought the last two shows weren't as good as the two shows that preceeded them.) I should have said "excellent" instead of "good", yes, but my point is that while SD is the better show, not every match on there has been gold.

Guest The Flying Dutchman

Well, in that case, agreed. It's still about a hundred times better than RAW on a whole though.
