Person Behind WWE's New Soap Opera Direction

WWE has decided to move forward with a more risqué, soap opera laden direction for the product, especially on Raw.

Apparently the man behind this idea is WWE Production Guru Kevin Dunn. The idea is that angles based on daytime soap operas, which feature ridiculous plotlines spread over several weeks to hook viewers.

The idea is that casual viewers might be lured in by the soap opera and stay because of the wrestling action.

Both the Kane/murder/rape storyline and Undertaker/cheater storylines are considered to be a success.

I've been reading that a lot of Marks have been liking these storylines. But, the Buy Rates, Ratings and House Attenance haven't gone up. How is this a Success?

Because success doesn't occur overnight, I guess. I suspect WWF thinks the changes will happen soon once more fans catch on.

Ugh.

Okay, I just thought of something! Doesn't Dusty Rhodes sit on his fat ass at home and tells Kevin Dunn, Jim Ross & Vince McMahon his likes, dislikes and pitches his idea's?

Could this be a reason for the Stupid Storylines, and the pushes for the "Entertaining" HOSSES with the low work rate?

Is Dusty really involved with the WWE? I remember the rumours that he was to be on Smackdown as the new GM months ago (when the introduced the gimmick) but nothng else. Please, say it ain't so.

As for these crappy storylines being a success, the question I have is how? I mean why the hell would they think that people want to see Triple H fuck a dead body. Granted, it wasn't real but fucking hell. I for one have never seen anything as stupid as that in a soap opera before. I hope Triple H goes to hell for this shit. No way can this man be the smartest man in wrestling. No fucking way.

I never liked that Kevin Dunn fuck...

..anyone who's watched any of the Tough Enoughs might understand why

You know what is funny....the two biggest votes for Tough Enough come from Dunn and Ross. Both of them can't even last 4 mins doing a 1000th of what the superstars. It would be better having the WRESTLERS vote because they are the ones who will work with these guys. They should get the chance. Not these idiots.

Aother thing. What is sucessful of a man fucking a dummy pretending it is a dead body on live TV? What is the point of it?

One of my ex was watching some soap opera a few months ago with vampires and monsters shooting fireballs.

Which is better?

monsters shooting fireballs- Kane vs. HHH, buildup for Wrestlemania 15

vampires- Gangrel

I rest my case.

Passions vs RAW. Which is the dumbest show on Television right now? One with demons coming from another world killing puppets. Or one with a man on roids fucking dead bodies?

Kevin Dunn is a beast! He's an inhuman, stone-age beast! I mean christ, look at that guys' fucking mouth....he has the overbite from hell and back!

Fuck Test being Sabretooth, Kevin Dunn's right for that part.

If they didn't pull this BS with the retarded over-the-top soap opera, I could live with hoss pushes.

Let's see Dunn likes pretty boy announcers(Cole, Lyod) and he writes the soap opera portion of WWE I guess he is gay after all. So that's who we can blame for Bill & Chuck.

:firing: Kevin Dunn

I thought gay men were supposed to have better taste?

Kevin Dunn just seems like an asshole. His overbite is unbearable to look at. I also thought it was funny to bring in JR and Dunn to analyze the guys in tough enough. These guys dont know the first thing about working. If it was up to JR the World Champ would be Albert, WWE Champ would be Bradshaw and Tag Team champs would be Kane/Taker.......JR loves to criticize on his Hoss Reports, but i think he needs to concentrate a little more on his own work and why he must use these stupid sayings like "goofier than a pet coon" every 20 minutes on RAW.

Wasn't Kevin Dunn the guy who didn't like John the Gymnast (Tough Enough 2), when John was obviously the most athletic guy on the show and Dunn had just got done talking about how they "want athletes?"

JR also hated the guy because he didn't watch WWF TV, but he did a Spinarooni better than Booker T ever could.

His spinarooni was good....but it was overdone. No one does it better than Booker T sucka!

Keep in mind that Kevin Dunn was responsible for Jackie Gayda getting the contract. He seems to me he just wants people to react to the storys instead of giving them something good. He's basically become a monkey, flinging shit at the wall

the only thing that is missing from Raw now is Mae Young making an apperance on Raw declaring that she is Katie FVick and The Fabalous Moolah is a witch then they put a curse on HHH causing him to lose to Hurricane.

Dusty Rhodes would never do something like this. Rhodes' bad ideas were MST3K bad, but they were never this bad.

I think we all know this one came from the Billion Dollar Princess.

Someone needs to get rid of that dumbfuck!

He's soooooooo annoying! I can't stand when they show him on Tough Enough and having to look at his ugly hick face.

Vince needs to get rid of all the old "Attitude" creative and production team and bring in some different writers and production people.

No, trglodytes evolved. Dunn can't even do that.

Whats the measure of success?

us watching this crap

Or Us banding together to Send in Human Shit in Envelopes at Titan Towers Addressed to whoever is Booking Raw.

I think we should let Dunn get settled as this role before we go all out and wish for his head.

Right now, he's probably seeing how far he can take it, so he can know his limits in the future.

How about the Sooners, though? Really kickin' up their forces a lot!

Albert seems to be moving up too, I wouldn't be surprised if a few months from now he's dominating the main event scene.

I knew someone had to have been behind this whole thing, and now I know who. I thought it was Gerwitz for some reason, though. Before I get too ahead of myself, is Gerwitz the head writer of RAW? Anyways, back to the topic, I thought this Katie Vick angle started off alright, but went down the shitter as soon as HHH mentioned that Kane had sex with her.

Jeff, what in your right mind could be good about Kane KILLING someone? What is the blowoff? Life in jail or the gas chamber? What GOOD can come out of this shit? Nothing. If it is a wrestling show. How can a WRESTLING match solve this bullshit? It can't because it breaks one of the main laws of wrestling.

In the end, ALL fueds and angles are settled in the ring.

So what if Kane wins, it does not solve a killing, and revenge on what, it isn't like HHH said he made it up as mind games. He and the WWE are saying this really happenend. So its more bullshit.
