Guest jm29195 Report post Posted October 24, 2002 Last Thursday (17th) I ordered 15 videos in the silvervision half price sale. However, their website now says that there is no trace of my order! Does anyone know how long it takes silvervision to put previous orders up on their website and has anyone else had similar problems?
Guest Rob Edwards Report post Posted October 24, 2002 I've always had my order conformation through on e-mail straight away. They are usually pretty good when it comes to customer service mind so e-mail them at [email protected]

Chunk 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2002 Ive just bought 5 videos and 2 dvds from them, and so far everything has been ok. I got one of the dvd's last week and i got 4 of the videos today. I got confirmation messages (I didnt realise you could order more than one thing at once - DOH!) via email, and so far everything has been fine. The only thing i would say though is be patient. I ordered all of my stuff within a couple of hours of each other, and yet they have all come in at different times. SO just be patient and they should arrive. I know that it sucks that it takes a while to get to you, but just remember you got that at asuperb price and you should be able to over look the waiting time . I got: Wrestlemania 1 (Just for the sake of having the first one) Wrestlemania 3 (Hogan/Andre, Savage/Steamboat) Wrestlemania 13 (Bret/Austin) Wrestlemania 17 DVD (Rock/Austin etc ....) Wrestlemania 18 DVD (Hogan/Rock) Royal Rumble 1992 (Flair winning it) Canadian Stampede all for £65! Considering HMV charged me £16.50 for Wrestlemania 10 a few months back, i was well pleased ChUnK! Guest Anorak Report post Posted October 26, 2002 After waiting almost exactly a month my Survivor Series 87 tape finally showed up this morning so from my experience silvervision can keep you waiting sometimes. I'm sure most of the time they're fairly quick though, I guess it's either pot luck or the particular event/quantity of stuff you order.
Guest BAR Report post Posted October 26, 2002 I agree with what Anorak said. SilverVison remake a lot of their videos, for example if you bought (eg) WrestleMania XII 5 years ago and ordered it last week. The newer ones packaging is kinda blurry and doesn't look very original. It's a good thing I got most of my tapes when they first came out.

Guest Si82 Report post Posted November 4, 2002 I must say, I have never recieved an e-mail from SilverVision confirming my order. They have put them on the website though. Get on to them I say. As for waiting I had to wait a few weeks for my copy of Survivor Series '91 and I'm still wating for my copy of Survivor Series '92 which I ordered on 12th October. As for the video covers, I too have noticed the drop in quality of the covers, though they look fine on the website, but the last one I got, Survivor Series '91, looked fine. Guest wwefan4ever_brethartrulz_18 Report post Posted November 4, 2002 I didn't get an e-mail confirmation too, so I e-mailed them twice (first time no answer) and got my tapes in 2 weeks. It just hit me that the sale ends in 2 days...!

That's a bit bad isn't it. I mean, why would a customer wipe a tape they just got? Has this happend to anyone here?

Chunk 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2002 That must be a one off case. Surely. Theres no way they can get away with that. Why would anyone buy a tape and then wipe it? If you wanted your money back you could just scratch the tape or break it, or just say you bought the wrong tape by mistake and ask for the money in the form of another tape. They cant justify that as a reason for refusing a refund, theres no way people would beileve that customers were wiping tapes on mass. So it must be a one off case. The way Silvervision are losing 95% of their stock, surely they will be trying to keep customers through good PR and after sales care? It sounds wierd to me, that must be an extreme case. ChUnK! It also has Sasuke vs. TAKA, which is decent for the WWF style of Juniors. ^^^^^ Which isn't saying much, though.

Just to nitpick a bit... There was a Royal Rumble in 1988, but it wasn't on PPV. Similarly, there were King Of The Rings in 1985-1989 and 1990 that weren't on PPV. Vader vs Razor for IYH: Good Friends Better Enemies is quite good, and the main events of IYH: International Incident and IYH: Final Four are very good. Vader vs Michaels from SummerSlam '96 was "up there" too. Cheers, Andy
Guest jm29195 Report post Posted November 5, 2002 Summerslam 2000 is actually a helluva good ppv You've got Benoit vs Jericho 2 out of 3 falls which is bloody amazing, the first TLC, Rock vs HHH vs Angle (Angle's first main event)- both of these are very good, and also a solid hardcore match between Shabe Mcmahon and Steve Blackman with Shane's famous bump off the entrance sign! I wouldn't bother getting the Raw dvds but the Foley dvd is imo the best one the wwf have released so far. The extras are 2 5* matches (Mankind vs Michaels Mindgames 96, and Austin vs Dude from Over the Edge 98), One very good comedy match (Half time heat Mankind vs Corporate Rock- empty arena), and a very rare 96 raw match with Mankind vs Austin which is also very good 3-4* imo. Oh and there's that Unforgiven Kennel form hell abomination on there as well which does now have humorous Foley commentary on it. Also the main part of the dvd is very good. A must have imo!! Guest The Son of Sting Report post Posted November 5, 2002 What are the Undertaker and Hardy dvds like?
Guest jm29195 Report post Posted November 5, 2002 I haven't seen the Hardy dvd but I would imagine it's got their breakout No Mercy 99 match, the Royal Rumble 2000 table match and the Summerslam tlc match somewhere on there as extras. The undertaker video is very good by itself, but the dvd had got the taker/Shawn hiac match from Badd Blood on it so it's probably worth paying a bit more for it as this is easilly Taker's best match imo! Chunk 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2002 Thanks for the feedback. For those still concerned about their Silvervision orders, this was on silvevision.co.uk site: At least they have now acknowledged the problem and admit what is going on. I trust them to deliver all order like they say, I think they are too large a company and need future custom badly enough (i.e. with most of their stock being taken away) to want to stay on the right side of customers. Chasing Orders We apologise for the delay in despatching your orders. This is due to the unprecedented response to our half price special offer that ends 7th November, when many of our back catalogue titles will be deleted. We ask you to allow 28 days for delivery before chasing any undelivered orders. We can assure you all orders received before the deadline will be fulfilled, provided the title has not been deleted permanently. If you have to call our customer services to chase your order, please have the Order Number and/or Reference Number at hand. Placing orders When phoning us to place a credit card order, please have the catalogue number ready, not just the title. Catalogue numbers can be found on our website by searching for a title. You can prepare a basket and print it off before making that call to us. This will help our staff to deal with your order more efficiently. Search for deleted titles When your search for a title or catalogue number on our site does not come up with a result, it means the title has been permanently deleted, both from silvervision.co.uk and Mega Mail. We appreciate your patience. Customer Services Silvervision.co.uk I hope this gives anyone worried about their order, a little piece of mind ChUnK!
Guest Si82 Report post Posted November 7, 2002 My copy of Survivor Series '92 finally came yesterday. The only problem is I wasn't in when it was delivered so I have to go and pick it up at the post office today after I finish at University.
Chunk 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2002 Good to hear that. I spent a fortune with them last night. Probaby more than i should have. But i will now have the 1st Summerslam, Survivor series, KOTR and Royal Rumble, as well as best of raw, Summerslam 2000, Armaggeddon 1999 and foley: Hard knocks and cheap pops :) The only problem is I wasn't in when it was delivered so I have to go and pick it up at the post office today after I finish at University.
