King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2002 This past Monday's RAW scored a 3.7, down from last week's 3.8, as previously reported. Some saw that as a sign of failure for the tasteless Triple H/Katie Vick segment that has garnered such a tremendous amount of negative feedback. However, that doesn't seem to be the case. While there's no argument at all that the masses were displeased, and down-right disgusted with that particular segment, it was tied with the overrun for the highest rated segment of the show, scoring a 4.0. Credit:Wrestlezone.com You know what this means...as far as Vince is concerned, the angle was a success. Obviously not many people with the Neilsen boxes switched off after the angle either... Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted October 24, 2002 How can anyone have possibly liked that HHH/Katie Vick segment? Well, it's probably possible for someone to have liked it, but still.

Guest Kinetic Report post Posted October 24, 2002 I'm telling you, they've tapped into a whole new audience here. For too long the necrophiliacs of America and Canada have been unrepresented on television. I look across the prime time landscape and see nary a show that could even potentially veer into that sort of territory. It's a shame, really. Now whether or not your average necrophiliac is going to be home on a consistent basis on Monday nights is a different story altogether. They have graves to rob and funeral home windows to peek through from nearby trees and so on. For now, though, it seems like Vince has the market cornered on that 18-35 year old corpse-fucking demographic.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted October 24, 2002 I foresee a cross-promotion w/ HBO's "Six Feet Under"...
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted October 24, 2002 Just because it scored a higher rating than the rest of the show, doesn't mean people liked it. Just because people watched, doesn't mean they liked it. Next week's rating will be the real indicator of this angle's success.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted October 24, 2002 And in the end, it has to motivate people to buy or attend Survivor Series in a few weeks. We'll see if it gets the job done. Luckily for them it's in MSG.
Guest DawnBTVS Report post Posted October 24, 2002 From the sounds of it, it seemed like many of you(Don't flame me for the generalization) watched it fully even though you didn't like it. Most of those people may have watched it fully but still felt disgusted by it.
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted October 24, 2002 Anyone watch 6 feet under? The episode I saw was incredibly dry and boring.
Guest DeputyHawk Report post Posted October 24, 2002 6 feet under's a good show, but it doesn't really represent the needs of the demographic. now the movie 'kissed' with molly parker, that's what i'm talking about!
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted October 24, 2002 If the ratings drop to the 2. something, then maybe vince will finally "get it."
