Guest humanoid92 Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 So if they're going in the direction they are (Big Show vs. Lesnar), how would you like to see the rest of the card shape up, given the programs they've already started? Personally, I hope that they'll just do the one World Title Match in the middle of the card and round out the rest with old fashioned Survivor Series matches. I doubt this will happen, but I wish it would since these matches are the whole gimmick behind Survivor Series. There are ten other PPV's per year to showcase regular one on one matches (at least the Royal Rumble still has the Rumble). It's been years since the main eventers have actually been included in traditional Survivor Series matches (with the exception of last year's main event). I hope this year they can get back to that outside of the Lesnar/Show match. Here's one way I could see things shaping up for Survivor Series: WWE Title: Brock Lesnar vs. The Big Show Kane, Hurricane, RVD & Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H, Ric Flair, William Regal & Lance Storm Booker T, Goldust, D'Lo Brown & Al Snow vs. Chris Jericho, Christian, Test & Chris Nowinski Edge & Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Benoit & Kurt Angle vs. Los Guerreros (3 Way Tag Team Survivor Series Elimination Match) Bubba Ray Dudley, Spike Dudley, Tommy Dreamer & Jeff Hardy vs. Rico, Rosey, Jamal & Bautista Rikishi, Kidman, Tajiri & Chuck vs. Matt Hardy, John Cena, Jamie Noble & Crash I think that's a pretty feasible card. I'm not sure that Shawn will return for the Survivor Series, or if they'll want to use his return in a tag team environment like that (though it would make it easier for him to work... and it could surely help a buyrate boasting a Big Show/Lesnar main event). But if they're holding off on Shawn, there's no harm in sticking a Jeff Hardy as the fourth man for that team, and replacing Hardy with someone else in the Dudleys match. There's the token ****+ match from the usual suspects on Smackdown, that could also, because of the format, be used to push one or two of the six as a singles threat. And the RAW main event balances out well with name value (HBK, HHH, Flair, RVD) and in ring credibility (Storm, Hurricane, RVD, Regal), while sparing us a painful one on one HHH/Kane rematch. So, what do you think? What would your Survivor Series card look like?
Guest nikowwf Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 Id settle for Brock vs. SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T SUCK in the main event and some good Smackdown action between the Holy Trinity of tag teams. Raw is a lost cause I think sometimes. Niko
Guest cabbageboy Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 First off I have no idea if there are going to be any survivor matches. The only one I know of is likely the elimination chamber thing that Bischoff is doing. I have no idea what that entails though.
Guest Brian Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 I'll settle for the Rebellion card.
Guest humanoid92 Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 I didn't say there necessarily would be any Survivor Series matches. I said, if you had to create a card with them based in the direction they're going (and keeping in mind that like it or not, it's looking like Show vs. Lesnar is gonna happen), what would you like to see?
Guest The Hamburglar Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 I'll settle for the Rebellion card. The Rebellion card does indeed rule the school. I'd watch it if I wasn't busy aturday, but I can always order a replay. Brock-Edge, Team God vs Los Guerreros and Rey vs Noble vs Tajiri....hell yeah.
Guest converge241 Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 elimination chamber sounds like the bunkhouse stampede cage battle royal which would be tremendously lame im hoping its Wargames..but the name doesnt really seem to fit the concept hopefully Vince wont decide that The "elimination Chamber" should be a cesspool or something like that what i think SS is going to be: Brock- Show HHH-Kane (with some stip) 3 way smackdown tag match The Miracle Workrate Connection vs Los Guerreros vs RaYge Canadian Chris' (and partners) vs Bookdust (and partners) RVD - Batista (sent by Flair) Hurricane - Flair some kind of "cruiserweight contender match" or a thrown together defense
