I always like Robot Jox and was curious if anyone had heard if it would be coming to DVD anytime in the future.

they were fighting over the rights of Alaska Oil right? Considering that Gundam is so popular, we might see the late night gem in one of those 2 features for $9.95 bundles.

Yeah they were and they had like the scorpion robot and shit. The movie rocked.

maybe we'll get lucky with a Robot Jox + Arena for the low low price of $9.95 DVD.

No word on Robot Jox coming to DVD at the moment, although I would buy it in one second if it did.

I'm not sure who owns the rights to it, Charles Band has tried to buy up most of his old Empire movies when he started Full Moon, but maybe he hasn't had any luck. Other Empire movies I'm waiting for DVD's of include From Beyond, Ghost Town and Prison.

Damn it. I loved that movie. I miss the 80's when every movie was almost America vs. Russia even in the future.

"We can live!"

"We are dead. We are Robot Jox."

" . . .we can live!"

I am thoroughly ashamed to be able to quote almost that entire movie, and completely amazed to find that anyone else has seen it.

Isn't Robot Jox the unofficial SEQUEL to "Crash and Burn" ?? I remember in Crash and Burn, they barely get the huge robot to work for them to "Save the day" at the end, and then in Robot Jox, the robot model is EXACTLY the same.....

It could be... I barely remember Crash and Burn though.

Speaking of Robot Jox. That reminds me of another movie from that era called Knights. I remember back in those days Pharmor used to rent movies for 50 cents so I rented pretty much the entire store. And I used to get Knights over and over again along with a bunch of other wacky crap. Anybody else remember this? I've been trying to find it for years but can't find it anywhere. Not even on Ebay. It was a post-apocolyptic kickboxing cyborg movie.

Is that the movie where the people would get inside the giant robots and try to kill each other? Then one of them made their hand fly off, and a bunch of spectators got killed? If that's it, then that movie fucking sucked.

You could probably give your local video store five bucks, and they'd let you KEEP it.
