Guest Angle-plex Posted October 26, 2002 Report Posted October 26, 2002 I really can't say I've really looked foward to a WWE match this year except Rock vs Hogan.
Guest Rob Edwards Posted October 26, 2002 Report Posted October 26, 2002 Taker/Flair was superbly written as a feud and the WM match wasn't half as bad as I expected Angle/Edge has been a steady feud for most of the year too
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted October 26, 2002 Report Posted October 26, 2002 I liked the Brock and Rock feud. It was well done with only one match to settle it, none of that "Rematch the next day to get the job back" that makes the "blowoff" match meaningless. And if I remember correctly, no stupid tag matches with Rock & whoever vs. Brock & whoever the week before. Infact I'm pretty sure they never made physical contact until Summerslam. Brock staring at Rock as Rock tapped out to the crossface was awesome.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 26, 2002 Report Posted October 26, 2002 Taker/Flair was superbly written as a feud and the WM match wasn't half as bad as I expected Angle/Edge has been a steady feud for most of the year too Taker Flair was good. Forgot about that one. Angle Edge was awful.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 How many matches did Flair and Taker have? I can only recall the one. By this logic hogan/Warrior wasn't a feud either. They had the rumble where they first 'met', a tag match, and one singles match IIRC. This whole 'it must be a series of matches to be a feud' is just silly because there have been a lot of 'one match series' in WWF history that are considered 'feuds'.
Guest ISportsFan Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 Would Hurricane/Noble be able to be considered? Don't remember if they had matches before their KotR match against each other. After I know they did though... Yeah: KOR match Velocity match 1 or 2 weeks after Global Warning match maybe more Jason
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 Bleh, I found RVD/Eddy to be a tad on the sloppy side as far as the matches went and Van Dam is not exactly the most charismatic guy on the mic, either. Angle/Edge, while good match-wise, just wasn't as great as Eddy/Edge, which had both damn good storytelling and progressively better wrestling. So, I still say Eddy/Edge has been the best feud this year, bar none.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 Trish/Jazz was actually a well-developed feud until Jazz's injury forced it to end. I still see them continuing that feud when she returns. And if it wasn't for the horrible "big ass" comments, Trish/Molly would have been a good feud.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 I'd have to pick the Angle vs. Edge fued as my personal favorite fued. Both their matches at Backlash and Judgment Day were good, as was their match on Smackdown.
Guest Rob Edwards Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 Angle Edge was awful. I think it's been pretty good as I think the writers have used their old alliance quite well so at some points in the feud you've thought they were going to reconcile before one of them does something to make the hate worse. Meh just my take!
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 My top two fueds are Eddy/Edge and Angle/Edge. Funny how both of them involve Edge. Coicidence? Maybe
