Isn't the WB the same station that had "Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher"?

dude, I loved Nick Freno, licensed teacher

Back in the 90s, the WB had some wackass show (The Parent Hood, etc.)

I will kill you.

Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher?

More Like "Nick Freno: Licensed Cocksucker."

RRR: Witty Motherfucker.

Can't forget Dawson's Creek...oh wait, that's still on...

Anyone else think Conner is getting to a Dawn annoying level?

Posted

Connor has been Dawn annoying ever since the first time I saw him this season, the episode when Faith came back.

Connor right now isn't annoying. But like 2 or 3 episodes back he was. I liked him during the Faith Eps. as he had some really good moments with Gunn. But 95% of his stuff on the show has been like going to the dentest.

This hasn't been completely confirmed, but AICN is reporting that Angel has been renewed for next season.

EDIT: Before you head over there, there's supposedly a spoiler for the Buffy finale in the "c" paragraph.

I'll take your word for it areacode. That is sweet by the way.

It's really a matter of taking AICN's word for it, not mine. But I'll go ahead and take their word for it too.

Mine! All goddamn mine!

Should be an interesting ep tonight. Hopefully Cordy stays KOed, because it's been so nice not having her talk the last two shows...

But Cordy is so hot

4 years ago I would have given you that one...I think she's still attractive, but hasn't aged greatly. Maybe it's the hair.

Man, old Cordy was so hot. Now, she doesn't exactly do too much more me. Like you said, maybe it's the hair?

Also this year she was heavily pregnant for most of the production schedule. That tends to lower someone on the attractiveness scale.

BTW of the original Buffy girls, it seems Alyson is the only one not to really "age" so much. SMG still looks like she could pull off a S1 flashback scene (or earlier) but she did get slimmer and aged a bit, but except for hairstyle changes over the years she still remains pretty much the same as seven years ago

I didn't think much of Cordy in Angel season 3 though. Maybe Fred just outshines her now.

Alyson's my girl, I can never say anything bad about her. Buffy could stand to put on a couple of pounds. Anya's a little cuter then she use to be.

Ok, would thoughts on tonights eps. be considered spoilers? Bah.

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

I really liked this eps. but the ending felt a lil too much like Sliders for my liking and Jasmine talking through other people got a bit tiresome.

The demon (aka the scorpion kings cousin) was a pretty fuckin cool plot enhancer as a lot more light was shed on Jasmine - who is moving up there in Glory Territory for me (rhyme!). And it put a new spin on Magic which I thought to be pretty neat-o.

Anyways, back to Jasmine, the actress who plays her (Gina Torres?) is really playing it well. I think it's her voice. She is becoming more and more sinister by each passing show, but you can't help but think "Is she really so bad? She makes everyone feel happy, is that wrong?". At the end her evil was pretty much well solidified when she was laughing sadistically at all the people dying for her as their wounds were showing up on her body. Maybe it's because he is so small and not really threatening, but I find Connor to be a pretty believable #1 Gun for Jasmine.

The "Her name is her weakness" is pretty lame though.

I liked the demon (cept for the CGI effects) as it was a change of pace from the run-of-the-mill baddies. When he said "We worshoped her first" I was like 'AW YEEEEAH!" because it was a totally unexpected twist. (And yes, I did read the spoilers... but having a bad memory comes in handy in this sort of situation :) )

With so much darkness (in the literal sense like lighting) in the ep, and with a not so good reception, it was hard for me to see some of the stuff going on.

Pretty cool ep overall though.

I had the same problem as Cavi. Whenever my laptop and the TV are on at the same time, my reception goes to hell.

Yeah, that was a great scene. Gina Torres was never this good on Hercules or Cleopatra 2525.

I missed most of the final act (I switched over to Twilight Zone during the break, and couldn't switch back in time, due to the hypnotic power of cleavage), so could someone summarize it for me? Basically everything between Fred, Gunn & Lorne running from Connor's army, and the time Angel stepped into that portal.

Angel killed the Demon with his own claw (sorta like Angelus killing the beast with his own bone-knife) and the gang showed up with Connors Army following them. Since Humans can't live in the Demons world, Angel was the only one who could go. They made a really nice circle with Fred referencing Angels words earlier about having no emotional attachments in order to beat Jasmine.

This episode was very good, and it is climaxing to the end pretty well. Jasmine is defeintly reminding me of Glory, which is a good thing.

I like the whole twist with the spider looking dude. "Her name is her weakness" works with me because it doesn't seem anything else can hurt her. If something like that can fuck her up, then I am game.

Watch her name be Buffy, or some twist like that.

Guest Marshall

If her name is Buffy, I'm never watching Angel agian! BUFFY!

Does anyone think this season has been kinda sloppy? It reminds me of the WWE with all its new directions. Know what I mean. Maybe it was because last years war so good.

Prediction:

Connor goes to the demon place (where Angel is) and Angel ends up killing Connor, thus saving the world. And Jasmins name will be Coolio (or Cordy).
