Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 31, 2002 You know, I do believe that Austin will return sometime in the near future. Think about it, there is one BIG match that WWE did not take advantage of when Austin was last with the company. Can anyone say..."Hollywood" Hulk Hogan vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin? Austin will be back in some capacity by WMXIX but Austin-Hogan isn't the only major draw for the ages left... Rock-Austin Will always draw. Rock-Triple H- Have never faced One on One at WM Austin-Goldberg Rock-Goldberg those are the five legit draws based on name value only remaining for WWE...and something tells me we'll get all of them. HHH would be willing to lay down for Rock...
Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted October 31, 2002 One day, part of me hopes a big brawl will take place and after a few minutes, the glass breaks. No one will expect it. Austin kicks ass, drinks beer, and Ross freaks out. Fade to black. I don't care that Austin looks like Superman. I don't care that he walked out. I won't care if he wins another title. And Hogan-Austin worked on my EWR. So somebody call Vince.
Guest SP-1 Report post Posted October 31, 2002 I agree. I think that maybe having him come back out of the blue in the middle of the show would work, too. Wait until the fans absolutely HATE HHH, and I mean for the reasons that the Smark community has come to dislike him. People are just sick of him (and that should be relatively soon). He brings out some sort of little group he has going (New 4 Horsemen?). They start some dumb promo and . . . *GLASS SHATTERS*. The crowd goes off the f'ing wall while JR screams "Stone Cold's" and "BAH GAWD's" and "RATTLESNAKE's" for the entire time Austin is out there, kicking BUTT and dropping stunners on everybody in sight -- and make sure Vince is in sight somehow, definitely. In a rage, Vince forces Triple H to put the title up in the ME and Austin beats the odds as the various Horsemen and McMahon stooges try to interfere somehow, and lands a stunner pulled from the depths of his boots and the bottom of hell (as JR may say) before making the cover. Boom. You rekindle the Austin/McMahon feud somewhat, and you have a built-in Horsemen/Corporation kind of deal here. I'd prefer it if Triple H's group is not called Horsemen, though . . . Anyway. I think a huge return like that might, 1 put these last few horrible month's worth of storylines to death, and out of short term memory, and 2: place things instantly on a new heading for the immediate, and likely long term future. And I still long for an outright alliance between the heels against all the faces. Just a big war. If booked right, that could be enjoyable. But you'd need a better heel captain than Triple H . . . Anyways, I'm rambling like a fanboy . . . SP, who rambles sometimes.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted October 31, 2002 I don't think HHH would have the same Power he has now if Austin returns, my opinion is that because of Austin's departure Vince has chosen to have less involvement with his own fed, giving the reins to Steph and HHH. With Austin's return however, I believe Vince's own interest will return as well, and he will take back over. I think Vince isn't actively involved in anything on creative writing these days and basically been given overviews by HHH Steph and Dunn and Basically rubber stamped his approval and then makes it official of him claiming to be behind this stuff. With More involvement Vince will take back control of his show downgrading HHH to just another wrestler in order to play up storylines to make Austin happy. And Vince gotta see Austin at this point as a Ratings Saver...HHH on Raw and all his antics has proven to be the reverse of that logic.

If you wanna go on and believe that Vince has nothing to do with what you are seeing on tv, then whatever. It's been reported from credible sources(Torch, Observer) that Vince has actually had MORE to do with creative the last 6 or so months than before. That is why he took himself off of TV. If it makes you feel better to lie to yourself about Vince's actual involvement with the product, then fine. THE FACT IS VINCE IS THE ONE WHO WANTS TO MOVE FORWARD WITH NECROPHILIA AND GAY WEDDING ANGLES!! He has told you in countless interviews that he is all about making soap operas, action adventures, and theatre. Makes me think the great wrestling we have been seeing the last 5 years was incidental and had nothing to do with Vince at all. Bottom line: Everyone has to come to terms with Vince's "vision" of what wrestling is: Stupid angles and skits with bad actors executing them.

Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted November 1, 2002 *Buzzer goes off* *Glass shatters* *The roof on the Fleet Center blows off* I will be at the Rumble and if this happens...the world will be right again. Except it will be followed with Will Sasso in a "Huh?" shirt coming down to the ring, being pedigreed, and thrown out with easy by HHH.
