Final Destination is a good flick. The DVD is also pretty cool, as it's got a lot of extra features.

I like, refuse to watch the last parts of Requim for a Dream.

Especially the Mom.

WhaFUCK!?

Any movie with exploitative violence generally grosses me out. Like, if it has a point, fine, but if it's just to be uber gross, yuck.

Guest Smell the ratings!!!

w00t! Reqium!

Anyone if any of you have seen the legendary DARK CITY, you know that not only are the bad guys scary, but the whole damn plot is quite fucked up. Especially, the opening scene. Too bad the crappy cop out ending kills the suspense.

EDIT: Spelling is hard.

Dark City is an excellent film. Wonderful imagery, inventive plot, all around good acting, especially on the part of Richard O'Brien as the horrific Mr. Hand. It's dark noir sci-fi at its best.

I suggest picking up the DVD. You can find it pretty cheap (Best Buy or Targat should sell it for 20 bucks or less, likely less), and it has an excellent commentary track by Roger Ebert, who championed the film as one of the best of 1998.

Mr. Wall: Do not fret, Anna. I will give you some more pretty things soon.

Emma: I'm not Anna.

Mr. Wall: You will be soon, yes.

Weird scary coincedence, Kotz, as I also saw Night Breed unedited at a very young age. Still creeps me out to think back on it. I refuse to watch it now, since I don't want to kill that feeling when it's inevitably revealed to be an ordinary horror flick. (I won't watch Children of the Corn, plenty of cheezy Troma Team movies they played on USA, or The Last Unicorn for similar reasons.)

I hated Final Destination. It just seemed like another standard late-90's teen horror flick, with no nudity and way over-contrived deaths. (I knew I was in for a looooong night when I first saw the airplane, which was in impossibly bad condition and wouldn't EVER be allowed to fly in reality.)
