I dunno, i mean i fucking LOVED the brock match, honestly, just the fact the hulking up had no effect had me pissing myself. He put everyone over, he was a draw and his matches were short. I actually wish he was back.

He was a big ass draw. I mean, people were flocking to watch other shows when Hogan was the champ.

I would have like a "Farewell" Retirement Match @ MSG between Hogan & Flair @ Survivor Series this year.

Flair could then continue with his on air "Non-Wrestling" Role and Hogan could go sell his book.

He popped merchandising and ticket sales for a short time. But after the novelty wore off, the numbers returned to earth.

I do not miss him one bit. I do concede that he deserves a farewell match but after that he needs to stay retired.

I'm going to post this here since I don't think it deserve it's own Tread.

Hulk Hogan's book is nearing completion, and it has already been the source of some controversy.

For fact checking, copies of the book were sent to Vince and Linda McMahon and Jim Ross, but not to Hogan. Linda in particular had some complaints that the book didn’t address Hogan's drug use or marital infidelity. In addition, Linda felt Hoagn didn’t give Vince enough credit for his successes.

Hogan officially said that the reason he omitted some of the drug and adultery items is that he was afraid mainstream stores like Walmart or Target wouldn’t carry it. The real reason is that Hogan simply did not want to address those items.

As a concession to not including more of these isues, Hogan gave Vince more credit for his success, probably more than he intended to do.

Hogan was interested in doing a book tour independently of WWE, but it looks like Vince will have him back on WWE TV somewhere for when the book is released.

Interesting. Target and Walmart would sell the book even with the adultery and drug abuse if it was written well and handled appropriately.

I suspect Hogan just didn't want to go into those details.

Occam's Razor agrees.

Me too. ;)

What the hell do they mean the real reason? What the hell, does the Observer now have magically mind reading powers now. Jesus, these sheets are annoying me to no end now. What, did they sit down with Hogan as he wrote the book and have a talk with him? No. THEN THE DON'T KNOW THE REAL REASON WHY HE TOOK A DUMP LAST NIGHT!!! Sheesh.

I don't miss anyone in wrestling.... I don't miss Rock, Austin, Hogan, Foley or anyone. When they leave, I stop thinking about them. I think I'm a bad person

I hate Hogan's wrestling. I hate Hogan's promos. And if half the behind the scenes buzz is true, I probably wouldn't much like the real life person either.

That being said, they should have had some kind of send off, one last money match, like McMahon vs. Hogan.

If this it for Hogan in WWE finally, it's a typical wrestling sendoff--anticlimatic and sudden.

I was hoping for more though. I was expecting Brock to be the first guy to totally clobber him in the middle of the hulk-up. You know, where lesser opponents sit and stare as he shakes his arms and all the offense is no-sold.

If they REALLY wanted to get Brock over.. "He's hulking up, Cole!" *KER-POW!* "1..2...3..." "Well, maybe not" *massive boos through the crowd*

I thought as long as he wasn't mishandled, he was a great piece of company PR. Unlike Hogan during the 90s, retro is cool right now. Since the public in general remembers Hogan for his WWF times and not the godawful WCW years.

If they do bring him back for a retirement match, they ought to put him in the 80s gear and with the old music. I'm not sure I want to see Old Man Hogan in the little yellow shorts again, but at least not that ketchup & mustard outfit from before that looked like Big Bird was making a run-in. ;)

In a way, I guess I miss Hogan, but not really. I'd like him to return, and have one last match at Wrestlemania 19 against Vince, which could be a Retirement match. Also, the WWE could always keep Hogan in the WWE, just not as a wrestler, but maybe as a manager of some sort.

I wasn't watching during the 80's when Hogan was in his prime, so nostalgia doesn't effect me. He was okay to have around, because he was used properly in a midcard role, while still drawing.

Miss him? No, but if he stuck to the role he was in before I wouldn't mind it. Hell, he beat HHH, and seeing just about anyone do that brings me joy.

I really do not miss Hogan.

I started watching wrestling about the time of Wrestlemania 2, I was almost 5 I think.

So my entire life watching wrestling Hogan's always been there.

About the time I got to be 12 or 13 I really started appreciating the wrestling aspect of, well, wrestling. And Hogan really didn't do much for me after that. Sure he was good every once and a while, but I had my fill of the Hulkster (not meant to sound dirty).

I really did dig his match with Rocky at Mania 18, but after that it was typical Hogan, and I'd rather see someone else who can put on a better match in his place.

I'm not trying to knock Hogan, but I think it's best if he comes back for his last match or two and then kinda fade away.

Uh...no.

And how exactly did he become champ if he "put everyone over"?
