What's REALLY wrong with Jeff Hardy...

I happened to see this on a message board though.

Jeff Has "Chronic Fatique Syndrome" Thats why he looks sick. He's had it for about a year now, and his work schedule has nothing to do with him getting it, you just get it. He looks pale and is slopy in the ring because he's tired. He's actually been doing good for having it, I mean he still does a full schedule like every other healthy person. WWE has been saying lately his spirits have been rising.

Nah, they're just saying it's Chronic Fatigue Syndrome because it's less embarassing than saying "Chronic Man-Chowder And Heroin Ingestion Syndrome".

It could just be me, but he doesn't look like he's sick.

If that was the case, why would the WWE keep pushing him? Get him off the road until he can get himself together.

It sounds made up, but it is a real disease. it is called ME (but I don't know what is stands for, nor do I care) and used to be known as "yuppie flu" before someone made up the name chronic fatigue syndrome.

Whether or not Jeff Hardy has it, is a different matter though...

Okay, I've met two people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. When you get CFS, you stop anything too demanding IMMEDIATELY and get yourself cured ASAP.

One of them recovered pretty quickly, the other took about a month or two, and is incredibly sickly; he has had disease after disease since.

That said, I strongly doubt Jeff Hardy has the disease, and if he does Vince McMahon is extremely naughty for allowing him to keep going on as if all is normal.

Which is why I thought it sounded like bull to me. I don't know much about it, but I'd think Jeff would be gone from TV for a while in the past if it were true.

Baldfish, I am so groaning at your sig.

I heard that Jeff has come down with Shitty Indy Wrestler Syndrome, where you turn into a spot machine because you suck at wrestling, but you're doing so much coke, even your spots get fucked up.

I hope it's not true, I knew this one dude with it, he ended up being blinded by a weedwhacker doing a CZW show.

Ouch man, ouch.

As a CZW fan, one of several on this board (though hardly the biggest) I ask you to at least use a term for an indy universally reviled- how about "set on fire at an XPW show?"

Yeah, useless post, so shoot me.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I concur.

Jeff has never really been involved in great, or even good matches, aside from various Ladder, Table or TLC contests. He's noticably gone downhill since last year, in regular contests; and even before then, he was very questionable in the ring. Point is, outside of matches like the above, Jeff was never too good in the first place.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in Jeff's case is very possible, and it does explain a lot, but I think whoever posted that may have been just bullshitting anyway. I take it as a simple case of wear and tear, and being on the road for far too long. For all his time in the WW_, I don't think he's ever had an extended break where he actually stepped back away from the ring fully and actually took the time to rest. Of course, any drug use and not caring about wrestling anymore could be just as possible.

Posted

Well, he had a on of good OMEGA stuff and found a way to mesh well in BattleArts.

Guest KingOfOldSchool

Eh, I've never seen the stuff. I'll take your word for it. But I'm just judging on his WWF/E work, and since the Hardyz push in '99, he's deteriorated plenty.

You don't just spontaneously get Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and then kick it like the common cold though. I'm not buying it.

Guest BA_Baracus

I think it's entirely possible he has it.

Is he using drugs too? Sure...probably. He'd have to be at least addicted to painkillers considering he constantly takes crazy bumps and yet has never been on the injured list.

As for everyone saying he's a totally crappy wrestler...I don't agree. 6 months ago everyone would have said the same thing about Matt, but now everyone on this board is creaming in their pants over "Mattitude".

If he cleaned himself up and the WWE used him for something other than being thrown off tall things and pinned by fat slobs, he could have a lot of potential.

Correction: HAD a lot of potential.

I think Jeff's spine must have totally compressed or something. Even a TLC match went by where we didn't get any mind blowing bump. If his singles routine is still this dull by WM, I say it's time to pack it in.

I had heard something about this aswell. I dont think it is completely impossible for it to be true.

I had heard that CFS/ME has no strict cure, and tends to go away in the same way that you just develop it.

If Jeff is fine on some days and tired on others, why would Vince not let him work? You can't really say to a guy, "Hmmmm, sorry no work for you tonight, because last tuesday you were looking very ill".

Didn't both the Hardy Boyz have a break back when the writters "had nothing for the Hardyz to do", well couldn't it be true that Jeff's increasing tiredness back then was one of the factors that lead to that small break?

Everyones quick to put the problem down to drugs, but the way in which Jeff has been frequently thrown around like a rag doll since I can remember, could more than likely be the cause of the fact that he is now burnt out.

Cut the guy some slack. To my knowledge, theres no proof behind his drug taking lifestyle, and he's given us a number of memorable matches in his short career.

People should be saying, "Whats wrong with Jeff? I wish he could get back to the old days when he had some potential" not "Screw the coke taking homosexual, he's crap"

He needs to copy off of his brother, and market a catchphrase like "Giving His Best Jeffort."

Or else he's caught a wicked case of late 90's Sabu syndrome.

Please, I get contact high just looking at Jeff Hardy.

I don't know if he's doing coke, crack, Alcohol, taking 10 pain killers a day, or a little bit of everything, but I have a hard time believing he is just "Tired."

I give him Two years before he's touring the indys and Japan with Tammy & Chris.

I think its because his brother Matt always got more Halloween Candy..but I could be way off about that..

If its B, will there be a depressed Jeff Hardy jumping off the titan tron trying to kill himself angle? I think I'll be pretty imune to it considering how many other death-defying leaps/jumps off high stuff he and other people have made in the WWE...

At the Owen memorial The Hardyzs had a good match with TAKA and Funaki, but that could've been mostly due to TAKA and Funaki
